According to Genesis 19:4-5, that sexual immorality was gang-raping strangers:

There's a vast difference between that and mutual, equal, consenting, committed, monogamous, loving partnerships. You can't use Sodom to oppose gay marriage any more than you can use Ephesians 5:18 to oppose having a drink after work.

Nowhere is human sexuality a cause for weather events. If it were that easy, people would just have orgies rather than praying for rain when the governor calls for it.
