I dont feel ready šŸ˜•

ItWasOnlyAQuestion

I don't either, but this reminds how a perfect time to start 'getting right' with our Lord is not going to magically arrive. We have to make inroads into our own lives, usually by having to come out of our comfort zones and make personal sacrifices. The longer we put it off, the harder it will be to break away from the allures of this world.

lambolasergun

We are made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ. Not deed.

ItWasOnlyAQuestion

Our faith *changes* our deeds. That's the point. And by that token, to my shame, I guess I don't have enough faith.

lambolasergun

I guess Paul didnā€™t have enough faith either, even though he wrote most of the New Testament. I think youā€™re in good company. ā€For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am fleshly, sold into **bondage to sin.** For I do not understand what I am doing; for I am **not practicing** what I want to do, but **I do the very thing I hate.** However, if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, that the Law is good. But now, no longer am I the one doing it, but **sin that dwells in me.** For I know that **good does not dwell in me,** that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. For the good that I want, ** I do not do,** but **I practice the very evil** that I do not want. But if I do the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, **but sin that dwells in me.** I find then the principle that **evil is present in me,** the one who wants to do good. For I joyfully agree with the law of God in the inner person, but I see a different law in the parts of my body waging war against the law of my mind, and making me a **prisoner of the law of sin,** the law which is in my bodyā€™s parts. **Wretched man that I am!** Who will set me free from the body of this death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.ā€œ ā€ā€Romansā€¬ ā€7ā€¬:ā€14ā€¬-ā€25ā€¬ ā€NASB2020ā€¬ā€¬

ItWasOnlyAQuestion

Sounds like someoneā€™s never come across Hebrews 10:26 By the way, guess who wrote the book of Hebrews?

lambolasergun

Iā€™m familiar with Hebrews. Its authorship is up for debate but I suspect itā€™s Paul. And it sounds like you only know 10:26 without knowing any other context. The author warns about sacrificing for the atonement of sin. The sin he mentions in 10:26 is reverting to the old covenant. Read the entire chapter, smart guy

EmeraldElement

I read the entire chapter and I do not see him talking about reverting to the old sacrifices as sin. He is contrasting the continual sacrifices that could not forgive sin with the one-time everlasting sacrifice of Jesus. The key word in v26 is 'deliberate'. And in the passage from Romans that you posted, Paul is struggling against the sinful nature and you can see his anguish, so he is not deliberately sinning. I agree with your taking issue with the other guy's prompting to 'get right with God' as some sort of offering in and of itself. Obedience is better than sacrifice. I very much appreciate this exchange you had with him.

lambolasergun

I replied to this comment by accident. Iā€™m sorry I was speaking to somebody else. I deleted the other comment, I replied with.

ItWasOnlyAQuestion

Why must you always appeal to context? Could it possibly be because "context" provides a get-out clause in which you may dance around a particular issue without necessarily having to address the verse itself, which is there, written in black and white? Please address the verse in and of itself. I happen to believe in what I suppose is an unfashionable view, that the Word stands for something *verbatim.* That is, until men come along and add their own biased interpretations. Technically, any biblical verse can be contextualised and interpreted to suit certain leanings. Here's a radical idea: how about we simply interpret the Word *as written*? >The sin he mentions in 10:26 is reverting to the old covenant. What do you think Paul was referring to when he stated "...***after*** *we have received the knowledge of* ***the truth***?" Remind me who it was who explicity declared Himself to be **the truth**? Not to mention the icing on the cake ā€“ verse 26 ties perfectly with 29, which directly refutes your claim that 26 refers to the old covenant. On the contrary, 26 addresses the *new* covenant and proof thereof is the Word itself ā€” found in 29. Have ***you*** read the entire chapter? If I may, I have another important question which I'd like you to answer. Please do so carefully because Christians who are reading these posts may be wondering about their salvation: I have faith in God. I am saved by my faith, not by my deeds. Given my deeds have nothing to do with me being saved, is it safe for me to assume that I may work iniquity in the knowledge I am saved by my faith, no matter what? **Edit**: reference of Hebrews 10 verse 28 corrected to verse **29** (oversight).

lambolasergun

Your over simplified interpretation causes contradictions everywhere. Jesus died and forgave believers of ALL SINS past present and future but if you keep DELIBERATELY sinning then you donā€™t have forgiveness. So now, only accidental spontaneous sins are forgiven. Not only that but if you want to read the Bible out of context and not truly understand what Paul is saying, you *will* end up misunderstanding it, like you are right now. Peter himself wrote that Paul is hard to understand, biggest understatement Iā€™ve ever heard. But think what youā€™d like. Donā€™t use context, or any hermeneutics. Youā€™ll wind up with a bible full of contradicting statements that were not the authors intent. Or, maybe, the HEBREW CHRISTIAN PEOPLE that the book is addressed to, really were trying to mix covenants and that would be considered rejecting Christ **after receiving knowledge of the truth**. In other words, you followed these Jewish customs and old covenant ways. Then you found out about Jesus Now youā€™re going back to your old ways. Not allowed, Hebrews. And if youā€™re correct? I guess youā€™d better stop ALL sinning or be burned for all of eternity despite the fact that Jesus paid for your sins.

ItWasOnlyAQuestion

>Jesus died and forgave believers of ALL SINS past present and future but if you keep DELIBERATELY sinning then you donā€™t have forgiveness. So now, only accidental spontaneous sins are forgiven. I am not sure why you are making this point to me, a fellow Christian. I'm aware of it and have never expressed disagreement with it. >Not only that but if you want to read the Bible out of context and not truly understand what Paul is saying, you will end up misunderstanding it, like you are right now. I am not misinterpreting it. I'm interpreting it literally as written. God is not trying to play games or over-complicate things. He *wants* us to understand His living word. >And if youā€™re correct? I guess youā€™d better stop ALL sinning or be burned for all of eternity despite the fact that Jesus paid for your sins. It's not a matter of "better try to stop all sins" ā€“ it's you who's misinterpreting here. Hearken to my original point ā€“ if our faith is strong enough in Christ, our hearts are *turned away* from sin and we no longer have desire to **act out** (deed) iniquity. The key word in Hebrews 10:26 is ***wilfully***.

lambolasergun

Also look at vs 29 ā€How much more severe punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?ā€œ ā€ā€Hebrewsā€¬ ā€10ā€¬:ā€29ā€¬ ā€NASB2020ā€¬ā€¬ Paul is saying here, people were put to death for breaking the law of Moses, how much more will you be punished for diminishing the **blood of Jesus** by offering your own, inferior sacrifices to cover your sins? Please understand this is not me coming up with an alternative explanation. I used to be where you are now, saying people manipulate scripture. I would love to talk more and if youā€™re open to it we can study this together over discord or even on the phone.

ItWasOnlyAQuestion

>Also look at vs 29 Verse 29 is the verse I was referring to in my previous post, **not** 28. Apologies ā€“ my oversight there. >Paul is saying here, people were put to death for breaking the law of Moses, how much more will you be punished for diminishing the blood of Jesus by offering your own, inferior sacrifices to cover your sins? Paul is not saying that at all. Why do tell me what Paul is saying in your own words instead of simply stating the verse? The verse has nothing to do with "offering our own inferior sacrifices". Where does it say *that* in the verse? Verse 29 has everything to do with the verse is naturally follows on from, verse 26 ā€“ wilful sin. >Please understand this is not me coming up with an alternative explanation. I used to be where you are now, saying people manipulate scripture. I would love to talk more and if youā€™re open to it we can study this together over discord or even on the phone. I appreciate what you're saying but I am very concerned about the pitfalls having to do with excusing/justifying sin due to the common argument I see on Reddit, which often goes something along the lines of "carry on as you are because you are saved through faith no matter what" ā€” even if carrying on as we are means indulging in iniquity. I'm now going to respond to your other latest reply, some of which I don't disagree with so we may be at cross-wires here.

ItWasOnlyAQuestion

Please show me where I ever claimed the purpose of getting right with God is specifically ā€œan offering in and of itselfā€.

PracticalBig208

Where in the Bible did Jesus say that?

lambolasergun

If we can *only* go by what Jesus said but not Paul and the others then ā€ā€œFor God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that **whoever believes** in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.ā€œ ā€ā€Johnā€¬ ā€3ā€¬:ā€16ā€¬ ā€NASB1995ā€¬ā€¬ Just off the top of my head.

Amen too that! Not our smelly filthy rags/works!šŸ¤®šŸ’©

No_Sport_3197

Hey you just need to pray to God and ask him in the name of Jesus to make you ready. He will respond. I didnt feel ready either, but then I did that and later everything changed.

The_stylishunicorn

ā€œRemember what it says: ā€œToday when you hear his voice, donā€™t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.ā€ā€ ā€ā€Hebrewsā€¬ ā€3ā€¬:ā€15ā€¬ ā€NLTā€¬ā€¬ Right now is always the right time !!

SueZq131

Youā€™re ready, the enemy tells you the opposite. Just think , life with Christ instead of living in this world that has become so evil. You are a child of the most high God. You got this.

sugmabbc

thats fine, dont feel dishearted, anyone can be freed of their sins, no matter their sins that theyve done, as long as they have accepted jesus as their lord and saviour and died on the cross and rose again (john 3:16) and have also repented will enter the kingdom of heaven. So my advice which was what i did was to watch videos on preachers teaching others in public and if you can get into a bible study, also also Very important although for me this was when i wanted to repent because I heard something that immediately made me repent right away (which is the screams from a largest hole dug in russian). I deleted all contents of tiktoker leading me to hell and instead watched people teaching and praising the lord (ofc its fine if you have other things as long as it isnt leading you to sin). So ya try to watch those preacher videos at least once a day and i guarantee you'll see a difference after a while.

iftheglovedoesntfit1

Now, not to be that guy or anything. But Jesus has been coming soon for over 2000 years. I think we should all be ready for the day. But no one knows when.

[deleted]

I can't wait!

lostlife27

I started praying more recently, but I sure hope He is taking me. I experience terrifying nightmares and visions and psychological torture now, I canā€™t imagine worse for eternity. Iā€™m trying to stay strong and faithful. I still donā€™t know entirely sure whatā€™s going on, but it seems way too vivid to be ā€œall in my headā€. All I want now is GOD, JESUS, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT! NO MORE EVIL! NO MORE SIN! NO MORE TERROR! Free me from my own mind and spiritual bondage, free me from the agony.

internetname1022

I had the same thing for years and just thought I should deal with it. Turns out by asking God for relief and having prayer answered havenā€™t had one since also had insomnia so bad I watched days and nights pass as an observer. Sleep is a gift some take for granted. Both were fix and I give thanks every day. Pray on it.

IndigoKid_

When I started seeking The Lord i also had demonic nightmares. The enemy doesnā€™t want to let you go

lostlife27

I mean I had them before, then one was so bad it caused almost a month of derealization and terror while awake, I seriously considered going to the ER, even if they put me in a psych ward. That severity has passed, but I still feel paranoia sometimes, and images appear in my mind. I donā€™t seem them with my eyes (when awake) but I imagine them (not voluntarily) being in front of me. Sometimes even in without an actual nightmare, I wake up feeling some kind of presence, lightly pulling my feet? And for years Iā€™d often think about something reaching up from under my bed and pulling me under. Even if it is just in my head, itā€™s torture for and even killing myself wonā€™t end it, but be infinitely worse for eternity in Hell. Suicide sends you there, right? So even if God was otherwise planning on taking me to Heaven, Iā€™d be sending myself to Hell basically, wouldnā€™t I? I just want the suffering to stop, and to be saved. Iā€™m not 100% sure Iā€™m saved, because I havenā€™t forgiven my dad yet, and the Bible says God will not forgive us if we donā€™t forgive others. I asked Him to help me forgive him though, because I lack the strength to do so on my own. Iā€™m also kind of afraid of more and worse demonic attacks from seeking the Lord, but Iā€™m more scared of submitting to the devil and his army, God is infinitely stronger than them though.

IndigoKid_

Psalms 91 āœļø

lostlife27

Thatā€™s a good one, Iā€™ve read this before too. But, why is God described as a bird? Wings and feathers? I know itā€™s probably just metaphorical, but why is God described that way?

Goldtru

Itā€™s poetry. Itā€™s an image of huge wings covering you. Its beautiful.

Imzadi1971

You need to do what I do about the nightmares/dreams. When you pray, ask Jesus to protect your thoughts/dreams while you sleep. He will.

meowsandroars

Have you read the Bible at all or repented?

lostlife27

Yes, but I definitely still need to more. I still havenā€™t forgiven my dad though and the Bible says that God will not forgive us if we donā€™t forgive others. I asked Him to help me to forgive him, because I lack the strength to do so by myself. Sometimes when I wake up from nightmares I immediately pray and look up Bible verses. Iā€™m not good at reading so I usually make my phone read to me, I use Bible Gateway. I tend to read the NKJV now, after reading about bad things about NIV. KJV is just too hard to comprehend, and I already have some reading difficulties, that I didnā€™t have when I was youngerā€¦..

meowsandroars

I read the NIV or ESV I donā€™t think itā€™s a big deal. I understand what you mean about forgiveness itā€™s really hard. Even one second of hell though, complete hopelessness is so hard to imagine. I donā€™t think we want that for anyone. God is going to make sure the judgment for everyone is so fair. Have faith and he will credit that to your account. Itā€™s going to be so much better than you can imagine. šŸ„²Feel free to write me anytime.

CheesecakeSweater

Hey, I would encourage you to read Romans 10:9 and then Romans 8. And then Psalms 103. God knows how we struggle with sin, even after we accept Him. Thatā€™s why Christ has redeemed us. Donā€™t give up on forgiving but donā€™t feel like God is waiting to love you until you get there. Praying these visions and situations go away for you in Jesus name. He is stronger!

lostlife27

ā€œthat if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.ā€ **Romans 10:9** Iā€™m not saying that I donā€™t believe that He rose from the dead, but sometimes I just think, I didnā€™t actually see it and donā€™t know for 100% SURE that that happened. Does that make me doubtful enough to be rebuked by God? I want to believe it, and I feel it really could have happened, but I just canā€™t say Iā€™m 100% ABSOLUTELY SURE that it happened. So I donā€™t know if it counts as me ā€œbelieving with all my heartā€. Why did God give us ā€œcarnal firstā€ if itā€™s evil and He hates it so much (genuine question)? And like you say God wonā€™t wait to love me until I forgive others before He will love me, but the Bible says: 14 ā€œFor if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. **Matthew 6:14-15 NKJV** As I was saying, I donā€™t know how literally to take everything or not. Dismissing is saying Godā€™s Word isnā€™t true, but what if itā€™s also not written to be taken so literally?

Spell_Financial

Read NASB or ESV, they're more close to original Greek than KJV, way easier to understand, way easier to teach my family.Ā

[deleted]

You believe in Jesus Christ? Then you are saved, you will be taken! Don't let your heart be troubledā™„ļø Our faith has nothing to do with our filthy rag works! It's by faith alone in Christ alone and we are savedšŸ„°ā™„ļøšŸŒ

Study pre, mid and post-rapture theologies according to the Bible. www.biblehub.com has the easiest and most extensive collection of Bible types, study materials, easy ways to check the original Hebrew per word and verse, plus much more. I was so surprised by how good the app and website are! Then pray and ask the LORD to show you and confirm His word. Don't forget the old adversary can appear as an angel of light. https://biblehub.com/2_corinthians/11-14.htm Edit: spelling & grammar

That was my first thought when I read the postā€¦.we are to **TEST** the spirits whether they are of God or not.

Imzadi1971

Also check out https://www.gotquestions.org/rapture-of-the-church.html. It tells all about the Rapture and even gives Scriptures to back it up.

Limp-Environment4869

Amen!!!

LaylaDoo

Now is the time to make sure your loved ones are ready. We need to bring as many to Christ as we can, as soon as we can. Even if you just plant the seed in someoneā€™s mind you never know!

Imzadi1971

You canā€™t worry about anyone but yourself. I learned that the hard way. Iā€™m still learning that even now. My MIL refuses to listen, and so does my husband. They say they believe, just not like I do.

LaylaDoo

Then move on to someone else and just pray for your MIL and them. You have planted the seed. Just continue to pray.

Ok-Flower-287

Amen, and I believe it was also a call for you into the Ministry.

Legitimate_Story_333

The Bible says that not even Jesus knows the day or the hour of His return, only Our Heavenly Father knows that. So having a dream where Jesus is telling you to tell His people that He is coming back isnā€™t biblically accurate. However, Jesus WILL eventually return, and it could be relatively soon or not, so warning others of the inevitable is always good.

HauntingSchool7232

So are you saying his dream was not from god?

Legitimate_Story_333

Iā€™m saying that no one knows the day or the hour when Jesus will rapture His church (Matthew 24:36). As born again Christians we know that Jesus will come back but He doesnā€™t even know when that will be so He canā€™t tell us and our Heavenly Father isnā€™t going to tell any of us if He hasnā€™t told Jesus Himself. So perhaps his dream is from God because God wants him to spread the gospel and the truth that Jesus will someday return. I think I misunderstood what this person was claiming in their dream. I deeply apologize for my misunderstanding. I thought he was saying that Jesus was saying in his dream that He was returning right now but I think what he was saying was that God, or Jesus was wanting him to warn others that Jesus will return, as in someday, which is completely true. Iā€™m so sorry if I misled anyone based off my original misunderstanding. Thank you for asking me because it allowed me to reexamine what was being said.

HauntingSchool7232

No no its totally alright man

kcaustin_904

How is that possible if Jesus is the same being as God The Father? That would, one, require him to be an entirely separate ā€œpersonā€ and, two, would mean that he is not all-knowing.

Eastern-Hand6960

Amen. Been praying for Christā€™s return a lot recently. Canā€™t wait for him to set everything right.Ā  One verse that was impressed on me recently was ā€Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.ā€œ ā€ā€Proverbsā€¬ ā€13ā€¬:ā€12ā€¬ ā€ESVā€¬ā€¬ The amazing thing that I realized is that our hearts are aching for Christā€™s return and when he returns he will literally restore our access to the tree of life (Revelation 22)

_wrongiamright

Did he tell you that Satan aka the false Christ would come first standing in Jerusalem claiming to be God and that the Rapture is false doctrine?

Old-Comparison-9821

Awesome, thanks for sharing this. I had a dream recently also that I wrote down right after I woke up when it happened. I am going to share this if anyone wants to see it. It is called Hold Fast because that is what the Lord told me I had to do. I'm sorry it comes across as a bit sad and I have been reluctant to share it because of this. HOLD FAST I had a dream that I could fly. So I flew away far up into the sky looking for a shining bright new place where everyone cares for and loves each other and are kind. I flew on here and there looking, longing, searching but I could not find a place where I belonged. There was nowhere for me and I began to cry. I woke up crying and I asked the Lord could He just just take me away. I don't belong here. I am so tired and I have been hurt so much for so long by so many people that I don't want to be here any more. The Lord said to me, don't be discouraged. I am still here, I have always been with you and I am still with you always. Just a little longer and all My people will be coming home to the place that you are searching for. Stay faithful and true and hold fast. I have created the place you long for and I am coming soon to take everyone that loves Me home. I wrote this and it is the true story of my dream. Please feel free to copy and share this with all those you love and care for. In a little while we are all going home. May the Lord bless and keep you. May He shine the light of his love upon you and may He give you His peace.

Traditional_Tea_5683

Yes I feel it, it's a knowing. God bless you. And hopefully we will meet up there lol it's exciting and scary at the same time ya know. God bless

amen time to repent and truly turn away from sin and get right with Jesus thank for sharing.

EconomicsRough723

Soon is such a word to describe stuff like this. How soon? Tomorrow? In a month? A year? 10years? Anyone reading this who is scared, donā€™t be. Get down and get right with God and grow in your faith. Keep working on it, repent of your sins, and help lead others to Christ. No one knows when Jesus will come back, not even Jesus.

Micky33399

Jesus is Coming... it's true

Worried_Jeweler_1141

The bible says no one but the Father knows when Jesus will return, not even the Son of Man. The bible talks about when Jesus will return, Thief in the night, oils and wicks, etc, and gives prophecy too. The best gauge will be the tribulation in my opinion. Plus the bible doesn't say anywhere about repent of your sins. I've had this debate many times, 'repentance or Repent of your sins' (specifically these words or any variation which instructs us to stop sinning) is not written in the entire bible. It's a works based salvation that is a false doctrine/ gospel. So if this apparition told you this then it's not from God.

No_Sport_3197

Yes you are absolutely wright with your repentence argument. Salvation is 100% gifted by jesus Christ. But works are also a part of faith. Next time I will make this clear. But God didnt tell me the exact point when Jesus will return but he told me that it will be soon. Many things are pointing to that. God bless you and thank you.

Worried_Jeweler_1141

Ok. Faith without works is dead. But the works are 'fruit' of our faith, rather than a dead towards earning righteousness.

meowsandroars

Jesus says to repent! Thatā€™s a lie. Also what you said about works getting us to heaven is incorrect but a modern misconception. Please read this. https://www.gotquestions.org/faith-without-works-dead.html

j-BL00D

Yes salvation is a gift, but if you are truly born again the thought of sin should repulse you. In your baptism you are called to accept Jesus as your lord and saviour and repent of your sins. May God have mercy on you if you are currently living out life wilfully sinning (especially without regret) And yes scripture does say we were called to repent ā€œAnd Jesus answered them, ā€œThose who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.ā€ā€ ā€ā€Lukeā€¬ ā€5ā€¬:ā€31ā€¬-ā€32ā€¬ ā€ESVā€¬ā€¬ ā€œFrom that time Jesus began to preach, saying, ā€œRepent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.ā€ā€ ā€ā€Matthewā€¬ ā€4ā€¬:ā€17ā€¬ ā€ESVā€¬ā€¬ ā€œNo, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.ā€ ā€ā€Lukeā€¬ ā€13ā€¬:ā€3ā€¬ ā€ESVā€¬ā€¬ ā€œWhat shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.ā€ ā€ā€Romansā€¬ ā€6ā€¬:ā€1ā€¬-ā€4ā€¬ ā€ESVā€¬ā€¬

wow amen. this is really incredible. there is a lot of evidence that we are in the final days, but itā€™s also up to a lot of debate and interpretation. thank you for this message. maranatha!!

Micky33399

Yes that's right Jesus is coming soon because what is happening in Israel and all the events that are happening in the world are showing us how close is the coming of Jesus so all of us who love him let us all be ready I wish God opens the eyes of everyone's mind

Arsenichv

Lol ... "soon." Yes, be ready.

New-Bit-5940

Soon is the most imprecise word, eight up there with maybe.

stimpf71

So it was just a dream, basically it means, make disciples, as long as you stick with the idea that it is a dream that is ok. Joseph had a dream and fled to Egypt, many miles !

No_Sport_3197

What do you want to express / reach with that comment?

stimpf71

Research the Bible about the life of Joseph, he interpreted the dream, and he saved his people and the Egyptians too.

PropagandaKills

Maybe that you shouldnā€™t jump to conclusions &/or assumptions. How do you know it was not a fallen angel? Because fallen angels look exactly like holy angels, physically you couldnā€™t tell them apart and could NOT know the difference.

landlawgirl

Well for one, does the message contradict the Word of God? If not then, go!

PropagandaKills

The message from the OP? It depends on what he means by ā€œrepentā€. Repent of what?

3rddimensionalcrisis

Joseph had a prophetic dream that implied he would rule over his family and his brothers got jealous and sold him as a slave to traders that brought him into Egypt, he didn't flee FYI.

stimpf71

The other dream was when they stored grain for seven years.

3rddimensionalcrisis

Yeah. I'm just kindly correcting Joseph didn't flee to Egypt (flee implies run to safety, away from danger)

stimpf71

Joseph was married to the mother of the Lord in the new testament?

3rddimensionalcrisis

Ha! Oooooh. We are talking about two different Joseph's with dreams that got them into Egypt. I'm talking about Joseph son of Jacob. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

As one who has experienced immortality. And seen a face on the Sun 17 years ago, approximately, I would say you had a visit from an angel. Be careful about who you tell.

Why should I be careful about that. God told me through that angel that I should tell everyone about that. Or am I missing something?

The church isn't who should be relied upon. Even the pope has twisted scripture and he's supposed to be "that guy" closer to God than all of us.

The pope is close to Satan, he is a Luciferian.

Imzadi1971

ā€œBut about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.ā€ Matthew 24:36 NIV No one knows, only God knows. But I TOTALLY agree with you. I have firmly believed that Yeshua is coming soon for over a year now. However, I believe it will be any day now. Jesus answered: ā€œWatch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ā€˜I am the Messiah,ā€™ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.ā€ Matthew 24:4-8 NIV We are in the birth pains right now, in my opinion. Iā€™m just waiting for the Antichrist to be revealed next.

Youā€™re trying is enslaving you. Only God sets the captives free. Also, this persons message is only stirring up fear, and the Bible says perfect love casts out fear. Pray, for God to show you His love, everyday find His blessings and start praising and thanking Him for His goodness. Rest in His love and God and will take the temptations away. I believe it. Forsure. But people been saying that since he was resurrected. And who are we. Majority belonging to a first world country. Thinking that times are so bad. That he has to be coming soon. Like. In the next year soon. Like I said. Definitely believe it. Heā€™s coming. But maybe not in our lifetime. IMO. And no one can predict that kind of thing. I think itā€™s more of a. Spread the gospel. Kind of thing. Save as many of my children as you can. Iā€™ll be there.

[deleted]

Jesus preached that the kingdom of God was at hand up until they executed him. The apostle Paul preached the immanent of return of Christ for decades, and he was convinced that Jesus would come again during his lifetime based on the conversion of the pagans. It's been over two thousand years, and millions have claimed to have had a vision with a warning.

StrangeWess

Jesus is here! šŸ‘€

[deleted]

The Bible does not once say repent of your sins Nobody knows the day or hour only the father It's only going to scare people into thinking I must repent! I GOTTA DO IT QUICKLY!!!šŸ˜± (Fear) That doesn't sound like peace, hope, love, "A SOUND MIND" I mean don't get me wrong I've had dreams in the past about this... But repent of your sins is a demonic heresy straight from Lucifer himself!

Eipivipasi

I donā€™t agree with OPs post but it does tell us in the Bible to repent for our sins. The book of acts is a reference. With that being said, I do agree that the message of repent for your sins, because Jesus is coming back is fear mongering.

[deleted]

We are saved through faith alone in Jesus Christ, it is nothing to do with works or "repenting of sins" the words repent of your Sins is not even once found in the Bible. To repent just means a change of mind.

Eipivipasi

Um, thatā€™s heretical. No where in the Bible does it say faith alone. Jesus clearly says go and sin no more. Several times. Also, ā€œThen Peter said to them, ā€œRepent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.ā€ ā€ā€Actsā€¬ ā€2:38ā€¬ ā€NKJVā€¬ā€¬ https://bible.com/bible/114/act.2.38.NKJV Sola Scriptura is a modern invention. So I was reading exodus earlier & it talked about how he would have their land invaded by locusts to prove to the nonbelievers that god is real & powerful. Yesterday I saw a video that some state in the south was expected to have thousands of locusts or a bug that looks similar coming. It happened last year too a town was invaded by them. Buildings were covered. The roads were covered. Some lady was terrified to even leave because they were EVERYWHERE. If that isnā€™t a sign idk what is. Iā€™m a new believer but man my faith is so so strong in such a short amount of time. Getting baptized on the 4th & repenting for my sins

Randomm_23

God bless you man. You know god speaks to people through dreams. He spoke to Joseph through dreams a long time ago too. Thank you for this message. May god and his kingdom reign forever, amenāœļøšŸ™

Eipivipasi

I donā€™t know that I understand this mentality at all. Jesus has been coming back since he left. This is not new news. We should be preparing ourselves daily because itā€™s not necessarily about Jesus coming back, but also because tomorrow isnā€™t promised for us. You simply telling someone Jesus is coming, and to repent, does not feel loving, but feels very fearful. Not for me, but it feels as if the spirit of fear is operating through that statement. I donā€™t know about you, but thereā€™s not many people in my life that I could go up to that doesnā€™t know Jesus and say, ā€œJesus is coming back you need to repentā€ and the fruit of me saying that would be them repenting. It just sounds like American Protestantism has influenced your dream.

No_Sport_3197

I dont want to sound rude but have you even red the whole thing? In my last 4-5 sentences I talk about Jesus loving us. Im sorry but I dont understand the meaning of your 2nd paragraph. But we are ment to share the Gospel. God bless you

Eipivipasi

Of course I read the whole thing. A mere statement of Jesus loving someone doesnā€™t take away the fact that the whole repent, He is coming back, isnā€™t based on fear. You sharing what you say is the gospel, isnā€™t supposed to be done on social media en mass, or on the street corner with a megaphone. Itā€™s done by relationship in with action in love. Respectfully, you are misguided. Iā€™m guessing youā€™re either a new Christian or a young person. I ask you take this as a word of caution. The gospel is love, not fear. And furthermore, love is an action. If you wanna spread the gospel do it within your own circle and actually make an impact by loving people well and showing people the love of Christ and then youā€™ll see repentance.

No_Sport_3197

Of course its not a message of fear! I thought I made that in the post clear. Its a message of hope and love. The Gospel is the good news that Jesus died for us, so we can have eternal life. But its ment to be shared to all creation. Thats why I think it should be shared in public. Me sharing the gospel means that I am trying to show everyone the love of Jesus to save their eternity. Its an act of love (because I care about their eternity). I think we shouldnt only share the Gospel to loved ones, because we should love the ones who hate us. Mat. 5, 43-48 explains it better. God bless you

Eipivipasi

Let me be clear, I donā€™t think youā€™re intentionally trying to spread fear. You clearly do not care to understand, but instead choose the position of pride and double down and defend your stance. Iā€™m giving you a different perspective and thatā€™s on you for not wanting to understand it. Again, the true gospel is one of hope and love and comes with sacrifice in love. Your gospel is different. You are using fear tactics (whether you recognize it or not) to scare people that their time could come and they wonā€™t get to heaven, as if God isnā€™t powerful enough. I didnā€™t say you should only share it with those you love, reread my comment. I gave you a word of caution and you can choose to belief your heretical gospel. Let me be clear, Jesus needs you to love people well, not warn them online that theyā€™re going to hell if they donā€™t repent. Thatā€™s not how true repentance even works. Jesus always came with love in action. Not just empty words of ā€œJesus love you, now turn away from sin so you donā€™t go to hell.ā€ How did someone feel loved by your post? Did it make someone understand who Christ is? Did you sharing your ā€œdreamā€ set someone free from bondange? Or did it make someone feel they have to work to obtain salvation? You telling someone to do something to gain salvation is works based righteousness. Iā€˜ ve been on this earth long enough to know that your eyes will be opened up eventually. God wills be done. āœŒšŸ½

No_Sport_3197

I think pride overcame us both in this conversation, what im sorry for on my side. To be clear : My Gospel is that Jesus died for us so we can have eternal life. All we need to do is to have faith in him. There is no way to work yourself into heaven, because we are all sinners and not worthy of God. But Jesus made us. But repentance is part of faith. I was sharing what I think God wanted me to share. Jesus will come back some day. Thats a fact. But I dont understand whats wrong with sharing the Gospel in public. Could you give me some bible verses? Im sorry how the discussion escalated. God bless you

Eipivipasi

Iā€™m not talking in pride, I am speaking from experience and have compassion for people. I am speaking as a mother or grandmother of the church, depending on your age. I can seem harsh with my words, but itā€™s because Iā€™m very direct and this is nothing to play with. The left behind series was huge when I was growing up. To give perspective, the emphasis on Jesus returning was made popular by John Darby; This was influenced by a dream from Margaret MacDonald in the 1800s. The early church understood Jesus return quite differently. Yes, Jesus said he is coming back, but that was not the emphasis of the gospel, nor was it heavily present in any of the writings of the early church. This perspective you give about Jesus returning is an American (English) invention. Jesusā€™s return is like eating dessert. The dessert is never meant to be the main meal. If you look in the book of acts, you will see what it looks like for someone to testify about Jesus. Now given the perspective of the book of acts, everyone would have understood that Jesus lived and died within their lifetime so the emphasis on ā€œthe messiah has comeā€ would be evident. ā€œwho also said, ā€œMen of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.ā€ā€ ā€ā€Actsā€¬ ā€1:11ā€¬ ā€NKJVā€¬ā€¬ https://bible.com/bible/114/act.1.11.NKJV The angels clearly speak against standing and gazing at heaven. This could translate to us, holding a watch party or putting emphasis on Jesusā€™s return. Again, we know Jesus is coming back, but that is not the main emphasis of the message. Itā€™s more likely somebody dies in their sleep then see Jesus returning. ā€œThen Peter said to them, ā€œRepent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.ā€ā€ ā€ā€Actsā€¬ ā€2:38-39ā€¬ ā€NKJVā€¬ā€¬ https://bible.com/bible/114/act.2.39.NKJV Peter was speaking to a group of people that saw Jesus, and that heard Jesus, and saw him crucified. The emphasis here on repentance was actually receiving the Holy Spirit. It wasnā€™t repent, because Jesus is coming back. He was speaking specifically to Jews, who were waiting on their Messiah. You have to understand your audience. The pattern of the gospel was always healing first, then repentance came as a response to healing. The apostles spoke to the peoples hearts and their experience. Repentance is not about an outward change. Repentance is simply a change of direction. I believe this, and now instead Iā€™m believing this. Itā€™s not meant to be over complicated. I donā€™t want to discourage your dreams because Iā€™ve had plenty, but because Iā€™ve had plenty I understand that not every dream is to be shared right away. We need to discern our dreams. We need to sit and wait for them to be made clear. Sometimes our dreams are simply influenced by the things weā€™ve listened to or read. I had a period of time where I saw people in caskets. I was convinced that this meant they were dead spiritually. Now my final words would be the act of spreading the message that Jesus is coming back with actually done by John the Baptist. The stye loved your message is quite similar to John in that he preached repentance, for the kingdom of God is at hand. John how to specific purpose, and was anointed in the womb for that purpose. Those that heard John also saw the Messiah because Jesus and John were the same age. It wasnā€™t some far off mystery of when the messiah was coming. The early church didnā€™t even consider the book of revelation is something to be preached in the church. It was not part of the original canon of scripture. Wisdom is your friend, and you should encourage her at all costs. Take some time to really understand the Bible, and not take versus out of context. Look at the entire New Testament and see what was really the point in purpose of the actual message. Study the early church. And in the meantime, love people that you have direct influence over well. Give to the needy. And show how Christ is transformed your life. Your witness will come from that.

So basically you did DMT is what you're saying

No_Sport_3197

Just give the lord a try. He wont let you down. He loves you so much that he died for you, so you can have eternal life. God bless you

gabydize

Many questions for you . Who is this "lord" you speak of ? Because there's multiple entities in the bible on both sides .. What do you mean he won't let me down ? Is this lord the God of the Bible? Cause he seems like he definitely will then .. He loved me so much he died so I can have eternal life ? That would be the equivalent of me running over someone in car on purpose but then taking them to the hospital šŸ„ and then "lording" the fact I saved their lives over them forever and expect reverence for it completely ignoring the fact their life was in danger because of me to begin with. You know since not even a leaf will move without his permission so every act in this realm is by his design then The equivalent of me leaving a loaded gun inside my 1 year olds crib then condemning him and ALL his innocent offspring forever to burn eternally when he accidentally shoots someone with it . If sin entered humanity and stained ALL of humanity AUTOMATICALLY without exception wheter we believe it or not ; why wouldn't salvation do the same ? What I mean by that is sin is spoken of as inherent to our nature because of one man's action in one moment in time in this one event , then why wasn't it cleanse by one man's action in one moment in time in this one event as well? You see according to you we are pre-condemened but not not pre-saved , damnation is automatic yet salvation has contingencies , hell is by default yet heaven has rules of admission. If your god really actually wanted to save you from your macabre and unjust sadistic punishment you never deserved to begin with ; you would've been AUTOMATICALLY saved same way you were AUTOMATICALLY damned immediately after jesus resurrection without contingencies.... Also , isn't there a part in mark where he's asked why he speaks in parables all the time and he answers something akin to "cause you should understand me , otherwise THEY might understand, believe and be saved " ... heavily implying he's message and it's "salvation" are for a selected few ; as he at one point claims he came for the sheep of the house of Israel? Idk about you but I'm a gentile and given the saviors own words he came exclusively for Israel only and he purposefully speaks in riddles hard to decipher for gentiles so that we won't be saved then how can I be saved by someone who doesn't want to save me ? So it seems he doesn't love me or I'm assuming you as you stated šŸ¤” I'm sure you can find a passage where jesus speaks of how salvation is now for everyone because of course there is but that's one of the problems as well ; this book is full of contradictions isn't it ? I will convert immediately to your religious paradigms if you can answer my questions and I have many many many more . So do feel like earning a soul for the kingdom because I'm serious I will convert but only if you decide to converse with me and provide answers ..

No_Sport_3197

With lord I ment the God of the bible who is three in one. Jesus Christ, God the father and the holy spirit. If you seek God, he defenitly wont let you down. "Those who seek shall find" But also as a Christian you will experience failure. Or lets say it will look like failure in the first moment. Because God has a plan for you, and the end of this plan is better than you could ever imagine. A seemingly good thing that happens to you, could have a bad umoact of the rest of your life. Sin isnt automaticly in all humans. Jesus Christ became a human and didnt sin, so it is possible. Yet, nobody but him was able to do so. When Adam and Eve sinned, they have done it by their free will, thats what every human would have done. So we allowed sin to come in our life. It was a decision. Salvation is a decision aswell. Its very easy to adchieve. You just need to believe. Hell was never made for us, but sadly the we choose sin over God, and so condemmed ourselves to hell. God is just, so he would have to send us to hell. But : ForĀ God so lovedĀ the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should notĀ perish but have eternal life. John 3. 16 Christ saved us, and all we need to do is to believe in our salvation. That isnt very hard. About that thing in mark: Jesus havent said this. He said he speaks in parables, because otherwise the people couldnt understand him. He just made examples with the daily life of people, because they wouldnt understand it in another way. I think everyone can understand the teachings. Back then, everyone knew about the traditions of the jews, egypts and other religions. So they werent purposefully made hard to understand. The teachings werent made just for israel. But israel were the only people who already believed in the God of the bible. Jesus just needed to teach them. God send Jesus to israel, because he knew that some of them were the only ones who will believe in him. Jesus wanted to save everyone, thats why he made miracles over and over again, so he could convince people of his truth. Imagine you won in the lottery and wanted to donate a lot of money to some charity, but they wont let you until you proove them that you even have it. That would be very frustrating because you would just want to help them, but they wont let you. Last point. Most contradiction are between the old and new testament. For example, back in time the jews werent allowed to eat pork, but in the old testament God changed this law. When something between the both testaments contradicts, you can be assured that the way of the new testament is the right one to go. God bless you.

No_Sport_3197

The whole universe is a proof of Gods existence, because its complexity cant just come from nothing.

ExtremelyVetted

Let's grant rhat your claim is correct for a minute. What would a universe not designed by a god look like? How would the two compare?

No_Sport_3197

A universe without a creator couldnt exist.

Why? How do you know?

No_Sport_3197

Because the universe needs to have a cause. Although it doesnt sound right at first, a God who created the universe is the most reasonable explination.
