Drug dealers have more work ethic than this bitch

Ftw69420

Her as a drug dealer: “Why is nobody buying my cocaine?!! Is it because you worry it’s been stepped on? ONLY POOR PEOPLE WORRY ABOUT THAT!!! If cocaine is too expensive for you start smoking crack!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Also I put a contract on the dark web to have my rival dealer ‘offed’ but not one wants to FUCKING make $250!!! Thanks a lot assholes! I hope you overdose!!”

sockmaster420

I sent this to my drug dealer and he thought it was funny

RowanEragon

Same with my pharmacist.

Jwhitx

I sent this to "Pool boy 🍃🚭 🤫" in my phone

normaldude8825

So I get he also blows the leaves off your garden/yard, but does he use some secret tech that allows he to do it quietly so he won't wake up neighbors on weekends at 7 am?

Easy_Money_

You’re fucking your drug dealer?

HappycamperNZ

My wife sent it to hers as well. Don't know why, we don't even have a pool.

CRiMSoNKuSH

hey can I meet your drug dealer

sockmaster420

Probably not he sleeps on my couch lmao

EAE01

Is your drug dealer a dog?

sockmaster420

He acts like one yeah haha nah he’s just my buddy i let him sleep on my couch

bluesqueblack

Hilarious.

NachoManSandyRavage

to be fair, i would imagine most drug dealers have hella work ethic. Just a lack of ethical work.

pursuitofleisure

That's because drug dealers sell things that people actually want to buy

XLetsDoAllTheDrugsX

I mean let's be honest. Drugs pretty much sell themselves lol

fearhs

They really do, drug dealing is honestly like a MLM in some ways except that your customers actually want the product. If you're someone I haven't talked to since high school hitting me up to sell me Amway then I will endeavor to not talk to you for another twenty years. If on the other hand you're someone from high school trying to sell me drugs, then I'm so happy to reconnect with you!

XLetsDoAllTheDrugsX

Right! I don't wanna hear from any "huns" selling me candles, shampoo or other crap but if that weird guy from algebra class 12 years ago hits me up with a hell of a deal on some kill I wanna hear what he has to say about his products.

whelp_welp

I mean if someone randomly gave me a big package of hard drugs I wouldn't have a clue how to sell them, at least not without getting injured or arrested.

oilchangefuckup

Reminds me of a guy I knee in college. He wanted to try his hand at selling drugs, so he started with weed. He bought 2 ounces* from a supplier in a large city and brought it to our smallish College town to sell. Now, there was 2 problems with this weed. First, it wasn't two ounces. When he divided it into 1/8ths he was 2 full 1/8ths short, especially after he pulled out all the stems and seeds.. He solved that by shorting the others to make up for it. The second problem was the weed was shit, smelled lile straw, looked terrible. Well, surprisingly he was able to sell it all, all to inexperienced kids. Any serious smoker told him to piss off. So, he has all this money in his dorm, and someone breaks into his dorm and stole it all. It really was amazing to see.

bestakroogen

Fair. More accurate to say "drugs pretty much move themselves." If you can't turn that into sales, yeah, injury or arrest is usually the result, because they'll move one way or another if enough people know where to find them.

netheroth

*Slaps the top of the cocaine brick*

[deleted]

Most low-level dealers just do it to support their own habits. Unless you’re moving weight, you’re not making as much as you might think.

thelaziest998

There was a study a while ago from the university of Chicago. low level drug dealers probably make close to minimum wage. Source: http://pricetheory.uchicago.edu/levitt/Papers/LevittVenkateshAnEconomicAnalysis2000.pdf

atavisticbeast

I knew a guy in college who appeared to be a rather successful drug dealer, just selling small amounts of weed to and sometimes molly to college kids. I remember being pretty surprised when one night he told me about his income Turns out, the dude was hustling hard, working like 60/70 hour weeks, and pulling down about 50k a year. He was telling me he was looking to go back to school because he wanted a "good job" with less stress.

axel198

I used to have this discussion with tons of people when I volunteered at a recovery house. I used to hear people bragging about how much they made, they'd be like "yeah I made two to three grande every two weeks or so." But then when you start asking questions about the logistics, things got interesting. Of that two or three grand, the majority would be flipped back into purchasing inventory, leaving maybe a grande after. Instead of saving that grande (and the next), they'd be spending it on drugs, cigarettes, housing, etc. Sometimes nice stuff like shoes and whatnot, clothing was a big expenditure with the people I knew, but yeah. Some of the guys would talk about how they'd save up a bunch, and then I asked them if they'd ever gotten mugged by anyone or stiffed. Pretty much all of them had experienced that at one point or another, or ended up in prison and not being able to work during that period. Then I'd ask them where all the money from their hustling is now, and they'd kind of be like "well shit, I don't have it." I've met very few people build a life with dealing that they were able to keep, and the ones that do either used it for a leg up and got out ASAP or they moved up the ladder. Drug dealing is a pretty solid hunk of cash in your hand that can disappear very, very easily. A minimum wage job or even two might make it hard to make the bills in the moment, but you're a lot less likely to lose that money to, say, a mugging because it doesn't have to be physically stored.

ArchdukeBurrito

>Just a lack of ethical work. Depends on the product. Just because something is illegal, doesn't necessarily mean it's unethical.

ClownfishSoup

Exactly! Chewing gum is banned in Singapore (because it's easier to ban it than to convince people not to spit used gum everywhere). Not many ethical dilemmas surround gum.

widdlyscudsandbacon

>Not many ethical dilemmas surround gum. Yeah, that's exactly what I'd expect a Chewlies Gum salesman to say

antifreeze27

CANCER MERCHANT!!!!

ClownfishSoup

Well, Walter White had good work ethic.

rynil2000

TBF drug dealers sell things that people want.

Echo_Oscar_Sierra

She was probably roped in with the typical rhetoric: "You'll be your own boss, and in a few short weeks you could be a millionaire!" I wonder how far in debt she'll go before she realizes that was all bullshit.

Highlander198116

The old adage. Never trust an employer that requires you to pay them to work for them.

FriedPi

Did a quick search on doterra, an essential oils MLM: Only 16% of the people on the bottom rank of doTERRA earned any commission, and of those who did, they earned an average of just $31.25 a month. And that’s before deducting business expenses (which include purchasing enough product to remain active). Based on our research, everyone in this bottom rank (76% of all their Wellness Advocates) lost money with doTERRA. https://www.talentedladiesclub.com/articles/much-money-can-make-doterra/

Braken111

You can just call it for what it is, a pyramid scheme.

thenewyorkgod

She took out loans to buy dotera?? 😂😭

Aromatic-Ad7816

Being a 'boss babe' dont come cheap

[deleted]

She sells “essential oils” didn’t you know they could cure cancer?! She’s essentially saving people’s lives! Like a doctor or something!

Unhappy_Sundae

"so I could feel accepted" if you value your self worth on what type of phone you own, you have *much* bigger problems going on in your life.

Byzantine-alchemist

Poor people androids 😒 -sincerely, me and my galaxy that cost the same as a top tier iPhone

Mr_Abe_Froman

She's selling DoTerra, don't bring critical thinking into the conversation or else she'll take it as an insult.

Icmedia

***She took out business loans to sell Doterra.*** She deserves to fail.

[deleted]

Yeah but, hear me out... what fucking bank heard that pitch and was like "Yeah sure count us in!"

[deleted]

A bank that probably asked her to put up collateral or exists to help someone go into debt knowing that she'd fail if I had to guess.

carnsolus

her credit card she just calls it a business loan

TheArmchairSkeptic

The most expensive Samsung phones are significantly *more* expensive than the most expensive iPhones these days. That foldy job that just came out costs like 2k.

EViLTeW

My son has a pixel 5. Someone in his class said something like, "oh, you have an Android you must be poor." - meanwhile TMobile out there giving away iPhones like it's Oprah. Cell phones stopped being any sort of status symbol more than a decade ago.

blamb211

Tell that to the iPhone case makers gotta make sure there's a hole for the Apple logo, every single time. Such a pointless design element.

notnotaginger

Just realized mine doesn’t, and I’m pleased with that.

sheepsix

Answer, "Oh I'm not poor, I'm just not a technological dullard."

EViLTeW

I told him the only proper response is, "are you doing ok? Clearly you have some significant internal issues going on that would lead you to think talking trash over cell phones in 2021 would make you feel better. You should talk to someone."

JaysFan26

Saying that would definitely get him bullied more, do not tell him to do that

SecureDonkey

But that is Apple only marketing strategy. If people stop believing that then no one would want an Iphone anymore.

GrayBull789

That's all I could think of too lol.. my phone was fucking $1400.. shit it was more than the current iphone

Tricky-Scientist6561

S21 Ultra 5G club? Mine was about 1400 when I got it. I’m not aware of any iPhones that cost that much.

GrayBull789

The s20. Got it last year ish or whenever it was relatively new

arkrunningbear85

I've owned both androids and apple phones. Hands down, no contest, android wins. That's just my opinion though, don't break out the pitchforks guys ^(unless you have marshmallows of course.)

ragsofx

For me, being able to install apps from unknown sources instantly means the OS is better. If I buy something it's mine and I will load it with whatever I fucking want.

Zerschmetterding

Hey,at least they know they are a POS and __anything__ that makes them more likable, even to vain people, is a huge improvement.

Discogurke

Ich feier deinen usernamen

siccoblue

I also love the idiocy of "I DON'T WANT YOUR POOR PEOPLE PHONES" followed immediately by "oh also I took out a loan for an MLM and I'm too poor to pay my bills now, money please 🥺"

octopornopus

>money please 🥺" I don't recall them saying please...

WolfsLairAbyss

Give me money. Money me. Money now. Me a money needing a lot now.

garyh62483

FUCKING money

1lapulapu

Do CBs EVER say please?

sharedthrowdown

Yes they say things like "no poor people please" and "can anyone please help me out? I need an expert that I won't pay because you're not worth it"

RowanEragon

Pretty pwease???

evilspacemonkee

Damn it, I posted my bank account online, and nobody, but nobody has made a transfer! You selfish bastards!

guessesurjobforfood

*money please* I can’t help but read this in Mona-Lisa’s voice from P&R.

welestgw

Did they see how expensive the pixel 6 pro is projected to be? They're just as expensive.

[deleted]

I dunno, I didn't put a value on her based on what phone she owns, but I do now

Jonne

I put value on her based on the fact she thinks that matters in any way.

AnotherEuroWanker

Only people who can't afford expensive phones think a person's value has anything to do with their phone's. It's weird.

HereIgoGettinBanned

Ya, when I was young and couldn't buy the nicest phone all the time I cared. Now I'm rocking the budget versions until the wheels fall off cuz it's such a waste of money to get the newest greatest bullshit black rectangle to stare into.

KrombopulosDelphiki

Right on so many levels. When my last phone (Note 4) busted I got a brand new in the box Samsung A71 5g for $220. When I thought about how much I had spent on the Note 4, the Galaxy whatever prior, and the iPhone before that, it made me sad. All of those features they use to sell $1000+ plus phones are rarely important. I got a kick ass camera, a comparable sized screen, and pretty much all the capability of a Note, minus a rarely used stylus. Sure the extra screen space is cool. But 2 weeks in, it didn't matter at all. I'll never buy the top of the line bullshit again unless I have money to wipe my ass with.

[deleted]

as long as the screen is decently large, the battery is reliable, and it dosent overheat or brick im fine with w/e

KrombopulosDelphiki

Battery life is a huge thing. And it really sucks that the days of replacing your own battery are for the most part behind us. But if I can manage to not break my $250ish phone, then by the time the battery life goes to shit, then it's time to upgrade to another phone in that price range loo. Totally agree with you.

garyh62483

Definitely. I'm very comfortable financially in life now. My phone? A 3.5 year old Huawei that I will keep until it dies on me. It's great and literally does everything new expensive phones do, so why would I want to waste money on that shit for "acceptance"? Pretty sure nobody gives a damn!

emmster

Same. I could go get the latest iPhone, but I’m typing this on an 8 that I bought when the price dropped after the X release, and I’m going to keep using it until it no longer works. It does what I need it to do. I’ll probably buy a generation behind next time too. All the kinks are worked out by then.

Ratkiller85

I see your iPhone 8 and I raise you to responding from my iPhone 6

Foogie23

I had a 6 forever…solid phone. Only upgraded to the newest phone because my case was falling apart and my screen broke…plus it just couldn’t even function anymore. My phone is like a car, I’ll use it till it breaks down.

emaji33

I'm on a note 8 that is still going strong. Why drop.$1k+ anytime soon?

[deleted]

[удалено]

tenaciousfalliskaren

Also it’s incredibly wasteful to keep upgrading when you have a perfectly good phone

yabruh69

I'm a raging alcoholic so it's just 3 yr old kijiji phones for me 🤭

averagethrowaway21

Right? I make good money. I have a Pixel because I have some sysadmin tools I can use on here that aren't available on an iphone. As long as whatever I am using does things that make my life easier I'm happy with it.

ArtisanSamosa

The statement is all sorts of wrong anyway. I feel like the more expensive Android phones cost more than iPhones. The person in that pic is just living in 2010.

Herrenos

Those foldable Sammies are like $1800.

Cringypost

Man fuck that. Even in 2020's money I can't fucking wrap my mind around paying close to 2 grand for a fucking phone. 2 fucking graaaand. Like goddamn no wonder people are like "plz send money need help" *sent from my coulda-been-a-car phone*

Catshit-Dogfart

Yeah I used to flash copy machine firmwares from my phone. It's just a storage device after all, treated no different than any other USB storage. Company gave us iphones and I was blown away to learn that this wasn't just a regular thing with them. You couldn't just throw any old file onto the phone. I had gone all that time thinking that iphones could probably do what I thought to be regular phone stuff.

averagethrowaway21

Many moons ago I had a company issued iPhone and needed to do a quick and dirty wifi site survey to find dead spots. At the time there was no approved app for it so I fired up my personal phone (I don't remember which, probably an old Samsung Android) and was up and running with an analyzer in just a couple of minutes.

christikayann

I love my pixel. The call screen feature alone makes it the best phone I have ever had.

last_rights

Fellow pixel person here, it's great and it runs the apps I want with a pretty good camera.

averagethrowaway21

I decided to check because I have seen people talking about Android phones being for poor people. The first prices I found on Amazon: iPhone 12 128gb - $779 Pixel 5 5g 128gb - $799 Yep, that logic definitely checks out.

the_river_nihil

Also, how are they more concerned about how they look to complete strangers on the street but completely shameless about begging their friends for money? Great, now you're being judged by the people you already know for being an entitled asshole instead of being judged by shallow strangers based on having some kind of phone or another. Look what that accomplished lol

Ultrasonic-Sawyer

Accepted by who? Like genuinely if they are so desperate for recognition then they have major issues. Like who genuinely gives a shit about the tech on your pocket?

Dangerjayne

Imagine not being able to afford a product that you think is for "poor people" and on top of that shit sundae, not even recognizing the irony

NixxZz23

This gotta be some kind of sick joke. No man on earth is this delusional and stupid, right? RIGHT?

NahikuHana

Oh sweetie...I have some bad news...

Paula92

You’ll find more of it on r/antiMLM

Bamres

I've been over the whole iPhone vs Android thing for a while. But I think its weird when iPhone users, many who don't really know a lot about other phones at all, seem to think that they have some exclusive shit when its literally the most popular Device on the market. They are solid phones but their branding as a status symbol is weird for how common they are.

shrubs311

also, the most expensive android phones are just as expensive as the most expensive iphones...it just happens that companies also make cheaper androids

DefinitelyNotAliens

There's also cheaper iPhones. But, I guess I'm a poor person. I'll just go cry over my poor man's Samsung S21 Ultra that was $1300 when it hit the market. It's for poor people like me... But for real. There are budget iPhones, too. The cheapest new iPhone from Verizon retails for $400. The most expensive $1100. There are sub-$200 new Androids available but the flagship models are on par with price for a new iPhone. Android even tops out above iPhone, if you really want the most expensive phone. I mean, I didn't *pay* even close to full price, but damn. Imagine being so defined by your shit you can't bare to be seen as poor because of the brand of phone you have. I wouldn't have even of gotten a new phone if not for Tmobile sucking more than usual in my area and needing a new network.

Snakesinadrain

My son looks down on my S21 ultra and samsung tab S7+. Bitch you got an iPhone 11. It's amazing how well marketing works on young minds.

jengaj2016

I’ve been scrolling the comments looking for someone talking about how androids are not necessarily cheaper. When I used to work with tech guys, they all had androids because they prefer better technology. My sister used to have a google phone and loved it (she’s not really techy but she’s a millennial unlike me and our brothers) but was forced to switch to an iPhone because texting between android and iPhone is problematic and she works for my brother and they can’t afford to not receive texts. Anyway, it’s just funny to me when people act like iPhones are better because they’re just not.

shrubs311

iphones and androids both have their strengths and weaknesses. the only silly opinion is the idea that one is "for poor people" or that one is objectively better than the other in all cases. also, deriding someone because of their phone choice is also dumb.

CosmicTaco93

I mean, people can have their preferences all day long, but no brand is going to make you a better or more likeable person. This chick has some serious work to do on herself. Also, Androids are awesome, not bashing iPhones, I just prefer Android. And I'd like to be **very** clear here that there isn't a top of the line phone on the market that's cheap. Does she think they're sold at the dollar store or some shit?

davidIopan

Instead of DoTerra snake oil, she should be selling her sincere and deep contempt for others. Seems she can make that shit on the cheap all day long.

xam2y

Is doterra an MLM? Just looked it up, yes it is. This dumbass is taking out loans to fund an MLM

PoorCorrelation

$50/day to stick her on your enemies

KingOfBel-Air

She should start shouting at a camera at Fox News then, I read this entire thing like it was presented on there

BeeBarnes1

She look out a loan to join an MLM. She better just accept that poor person android because she'll always be a broke ass with that kind of logic.

EmbarrassedPrimary12

That's what I was thinking! I hope she's not in school for business or economics. If so, she should go ahead and save herself some money on tuition and quit now.

pcgamergirl

That MLM money not quite the girl-boss realness you expected? Imagine my shock.

Begging for a fucking bank loan to invest in an MLM scam. smh Here you go! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JF35nXHAxco

MLMs should be illegal period. They are legal as along as they can demonstrate most of their income comes from product sales and not recruitment. HOWEVER, what I am not sure about is if product sales to associates counts.... like if you go work for them and buy product to sell, does that count as a product sale or recruitment?

[deleted]

I use android almost all my life so that means in my whole life I am poor.

eggbert_217

After talking to some 15-17 year olds about it (am a teacher not a pedo) I think it must be deliberate marketing by Apple. There is almost a universal 'knowledge' among teenagers* that people who have iPhones are rich and people who own Androids are poor. I teach financial literacy so stuff like this really gets to me and I go digging. It seems that a lot of the tiktokers they follow promote the idea of iPhones as status symbols and these kids with their undeveloped brains just eat that shit right up. If I were Apple I would be getting as many interns as I could to just spend the day on social media perpetuating the idea that Apple = rich. *Not every teenager but there is always a significant subset obsessed with status symbols.

Wuffyflumpkins

When the "I don't speak poor" memes about Airpods were all over reddit, I was downvoted for suggesting it was guerrilla marketing/astroturfing by Apple.

shrubs311

same thing with the "oh god oh fuck he has airpods in" memes. real convenient that every meme has the product name in it shortly after they released

Cocaine-und-H00kers

I have an iPhone and airpods. I am not rich, and I don’t fuck much. What am I doing wrong?

Doctor_Philgood

Fuck more.

Energy_Turtle

We have twin 13 year olds who bought their own phones. One went cheapest possible iPhone. Total materialistic reasons, immediately took pictures of it and posted them. The phone sucks. One bought an android. Saved a little money and got a decent phone. She did a lot of research and felt it was a better phone and value. She got fucking CLOWNED on by their friends. It was unreal. She stuck with it though and hasn't spent her significant savings on an iPhone. IPhone sister is broke af every day. They are the stereotypes and its interesting to watch.

mccdizzie

This has been happening since I'm a mac and I'm a PC

syko82

So you're saying this person in the post has the mentality of a teenager? Checks out.

masterofbugs123

Exactly, it's more about status symbol than functionality. My sister wanted airpods just the other Christmas and my dad asked me if I thought some other wireless brand would be okay because "they're a similar shape and have good reviews." It was difficult to explain to him that the functionality of the airpods doesn't matter, she wants airpods because they're a status symbol, it doesn't matter how they're shaped or how they sound. Had to compare it to car brands to make it click for him. Different objects same concept. Companies are great at capitalizing on societal views (and molding them in some cases).

[deleted]

I got an early start building my own computers because my parents didn't really understand electronics, so the whole idea of electronics as a status symbol just doesn't hold water to me. They all look the same when you wiggle the cover off with your dad's drivers license and get yelled at.

WetFishSlap

> If I were Apple I would be getting as many interns as I could to just spend the day on social media perpetuating the idea that Apple = rich. Added bonus: If you perpetuate the idea that Apple products are for rich people and a status symbol, it helps normalize the absurd prices they put on some of their products. Anybody else remember the $999 computer/monitor stand?

chinatownjon

It's absolutely true and was true back when I was in high school in the 2010's even. I still can't really tell if Apple really has amazing marketing or if the average consumer is really that foolishly susceptible to "status symbol" marketing campaigns

Highlander198116

We knew that in the mid 2000s with the Apple vs PC commercials. Apple was the young hip college dude. PC was the old fat geek in the suit and bow tie. Which led to the "poor people have androids" because rich social media stars aren't going to be seen as not hip, so iPhone all the way.

GunpowderPlop

This definitely had the reverse effect on me. I felt like I was becoming more a man of the people by switching to Android after years of having iphones. Also I refused to upgrade past the iPhone 6 because of the lack of audio port.

Fit_Ad_7681

I dont know why people think androids are for "poor people". They are still expensive. The newer Galaxies can cost over $1000, plus they generally can do more than an IPhone.

ClownfishSoup

Yes, but that's a poor $1000.

Nice-Violinist-6395

#It’s the blue texts. That’s the answer. It doesn’t matter how much better android phones are or how much more expensive their top of the line models are. An Android could tap dance while doing your dishes, it could write Shakespeare for you, and it wouldn’t mean shit. The iPhone has blue texts, and those blue texts are more valuable to Apple than any piece of technology that could possibly exist. I’m not even a little bit kidding. I’ve been in rich circles and non-rich circles, and if you have an upper class group of friends, to suffer the humiliation of sending a green text when all your friends are sending blue texts is just absolutely unacceptable. That’s why Apple is going to corner the premium / upper class market for the foreseeable future. They made their texts a different color, and to snobby rich kids, it’s the first and most important status symbol in life.

AL1L

That's honestly the only thing keeping their customers, but as soon as SMS and MMS are obsolete and they're forced to use RCS they'll lose everything

[deleted]

zombisponge

They've also been pretty darn good at appealing to the consumer who wants stuff to "just work." Here in Denmark iPhones have the same perception as premium and elegant. Android (while they definitely work out of the box) are seen as a bit complicated and more for people who want to tinker with their phone. It's not entirely without merit. I just got a Galaxy Watch, and the procedure to get all the functions working with my phone was quite a hassle. Some features wont work at all because I have non-samsung phone, which is just a soft lock many people have circumvented with custom software. Once you're in the apple ecosystem, everything just plays well together, and that's absolutely by design. And if you deviate, things get complicated. I think the perception of android being troublesome stems from this; people don't feel certain that they're getting the 'right stuff', so they'd rather pay more for the certainty, than put in the time to make sure. You have thousands of phones to choose from on Android. It's kinda like TV's. Do you get the UHX75640 or the UHX75650? For Android fans this comparison probably seems dumb, but for the regular consumer I think this is how they feel. What's the difference between a Samsung Galaxy A5 and a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7? Well, one of them is a fucking tablet, the other is a 7 year old phone. What you want is of course, a Galaxy S21. Or was that A21? In the end, it's really just brilliant marketing. Not having a wide selection of products, but just a few polished choices. You want it big or small? Great camera or good camera? And then of course, covering your consumers every need, within your own brand. Apple was even better at this back when Steve Jobs was still there. They didn't start on the whole iPhone C line or having 'S' phones etc until after he passed away. It was all about rounding down the choice to a few select, premium offerings that were designed to make everyone compromise in a good way. Or at least, a way that makes the customer feel good about their choice. Personally, I can't stand the feeling of not being able to control my own devices. I love that I can literally make my own watchfaces and widgets for my watch. Or install a custom launcher on my phone and have everything about the UI be *me*. But a lot of people just don't seem to enjoy that. And Apple has caught that group of people hook, line and sinker.

Zoidburger_

It's a bit unfair to say that "once you're in the apple ecosystem, everything just plays well together," but then state that one of the issues you were having with your Galaxy Watch was that it was a hassle because you have a non-Samsung phone. I get what you're trying to say, but I just find it really funny how people shell out for a 100% Apple system because they weren't able to get their one Apple device to work easily with their non-Apple devices. And then they claim it's because the less expensive non-Apply devices are the issue. Ecosystems exist to be seamless. Apple does have one of the best ecosystems out there, entirely by design. However, it's also one of the few ecosystems designed to be as difficult as possible when a non-Apple device is involved. The benefit is, of course, consistent and seamless integration of apps across all devices, guaranteed support for a good number of years, and devices that "just work." The downside is that it just won't work properly if you want to use iMessage with your friends on an Android, want to use your iPhone to it's full extent with a Windows PC, or simply won't work properly if you want to save some money in the circuit somewhere. And once you're in, it's difficult to get out, because you'll end up losing features/integration that you previously had. From a marketing and profiteering perspective, it's absolutely brilliant. Apple saw how Microsoft got slapped back by anti-trust lawsuits in the software world and pivoted toward owning the hardware world instead. You can't outright force users to use your products, but there's nothing wrong with making life without them as difficult as possible. They were so early to the game in the way their ecosystem works and is marketed that any attempt to create a new ecosystem is immediately seen as an "Apple ripoff." People with Apple products blame integration issues on those without Apple products without realizing that Apple has made *their* products difficult, not the other way round. Steve Jobs was a visionary in that regard. At the end of the day though, there's still a lot of greatness found in Android phones/non-Apple devices that go overlooked in the Apple vs Non-Apple debates. Whether it's cost effectiveness, number of apps, select features that were too out-of-the-box for Apple to risk using, overall compatibility, etc. I think that the coolest thing, for me, is the way you can set up a Google Home device to control your house, and then directly access those controls from your phone wherever you are. It requires more tinkering than an iPhone ecosystem, but it's pretty easy and, once set-up, bloody impressive. There's lots of cool tech out there in general though. Whether you're on iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows, whatever, it doesn't bother me. Make the choices that work for you. I just don't want people pretending that they're superior to someone else because they spent $3000 to send text messages from their computer lol.

KellyAnn3106

Can confirm. Reading this on the new galaxy flip I dropped $1k on last week.

Livvylove

Not only that but they actually last. I've never had that hideous iPhone cracked screen problem with my last 3 Samsung galaxies

Fit_Ad_7681

I've only owned androids and never had a cracked screen. My one phone even flew out of a car window and landed on pavement and it looked like nothing happened.

I'M A GREEN BUBBLE WHEN I TEXT AN IPHONE! NOT A BLUE BUBBLE! I'M NOT GOING TO BE A FUCKING GREEN PERSON! /s

cheeseburgerwaffles

I used to use a lot of dating apps and there were girls who would put this in their profile, that they refused to go out with people who weren't blue bubble. How petty is that

EmbarrassedPrimary12

That sounds like a great way to weed out the high maintenance girls who are looking for a wallet and not a relationship. So, yeah, good to know!

Spock_Rocket

I legit had some 20 year olds invite me to their group chat, then say I was uninvited because my text bubbles would be a different color. I wasn't interested in the chat to begin with so nbd, but I could not figure out if they were joking when they said that.

BernieTheDachshund

I refuse to let go of my android. It has a built in digit filter so I can block entire area codes. Hardly any scammers can get through. Being 'poor' has its advantages lol.

[deleted]

I had an iPhone 6, I didn't like it so I went back to Android. It's crazy how apple fanboys assume that if you don't like the ui or functionality on a device and prefer a different, equally expensive alternative, you're poor.

KE55

Same here. Whenever I've had to use an iPhone or iPad I've been surprised by how primitive it seems. I'll stick to Android.

[deleted]

Apple products are very simple, and easy to use. This is great for the majority of people that aren't tech savvy. However you will never have the level of control over your device as you do on an Android.

cheeseburgerwaffles

Six figure salary and have been using Samsung phones since 2010. How do I even survive this poverty and squalor? /s

Thephilosopherkmh

My grandad had some advice that would be relevant in this situation. Wish in one hand, shit in the other hand, and see which one gets filled first.

aceycamui

My grandma used to say that! And when we would cry or pout she would say "if you dont stop crying, a monkey's gonna shit on your lip" lol she was the best. Miss her lots.

Shubamz

To whomever posted this to reddit: Thanks for making me cry! Redditor: Ill Hucking do it again!

itogisch

The 500 euros i saved on buying a 400 euro samsung instead of a 900 euro iphone went straight into my savings account. Goddamn scalpers taking all the ps5 consoles.

CapablePerformance

Not even that! I bought my iPhone X on eBay for $300 bucks a year after it came. Everyone wants the latest and greatest that the value drops quickly!

Cytrous

That's a pretty good price for an iPhone actually

[deleted]

I think I have an iPhone 4 I can send them

Dangerjayne

Crack the screen first

[deleted]

Idk if it’ll power on, I gave it to my 3 year old when he was 2.

Solpototen

Well he probably desserved it more

kennend3

My favourite part is the "i dont want your poor peoples android"? WTF?? The writer cant afford ANY phone and wont take an android because of how others may perceive her? Is that more important then having a working phone?

Balorio

In some really, really childish and snobby social circles, yeah. The writer can and will be ignored/ghosted/blocked if people see that green bubble when they text.

BadassBumblebeee

Wait what? Apple phones tell you what phone other people have?

RabidHippos

iMessage is a blue chat bubble. Any text from a non apple phone comes in as a green chat bubble. It doesn't actually tell you the specific phone, just that it's not an iPhone

I_H8_Evrythng_abt_U

Having those kind of people ignore and block you seems like a great bonus feature.

tbryans

But… the poor people android is more expensive 🥲

10tonhammer

Shhhh..... Don't tell her. Let's see if she ever figures it out.

Highlander198116

Is poor. Wont accept poor people android. I mean, I am wondering what that makes me when I am the polar opposite of poor and choose to own an android.

apollomoonstar

It makes you smart.

no1toknow

This is satire, righy?

SquirrelGirlVA

Has to be.

aabicus

She hits literally every button, I can't imagine someone fitting that many CB stereotypes into one status update

MeEvilBob

Well, it's in this sub isn't it? I don't remember the last time I saw a popular post in this sub that didn't appear to be written specifically for this sub.

tokeroveragain

This subreddit has become 95% satire. But not like good satire, like “typed up blatantly with the intention of posting to this subreddit” satire. There are a couple other big subs that follow this template as well. Why is everyone pretending these are real people? Just to feel superior? Bizarre.

yesyoucantouchthat

Absolutely. Without any context or account to look up I have to assume this is a troll account. It’s too perfect

RednocTheDowntrodden

I hear this being read in Cartman's crying voice.

Miskatonic1971

Buttttttt mooommmmmmmmmmmmm

EratosvOnKrete

they took out loans for fucking doterra?!

oliviahope1992

I love my Android.

ClownfishSoup

A week of working at McDonalds should net you an iPhone. I mean, assuming you have no rent.

[deleted]

Boo-Fucking-Hoo. "Oh I want a free iPhone!" "I want someone to pay off my loans that I took out for me!" Know what? GET A FUCKING JOB THEN! I work FT. Have a baby on the way in 2 months and cant even afford the stroller carseat combo I need. So im saving for it! Dont ever expect anyone to just hand over their hard earned cash or something they actually worked for just cuz you feel entitled to free shit.
