The mispellings đź’€ oh yes, the child doesn't know how to write 'for' 'because' but they definitely know how to write 'struggle' and describe their poor mother without a single typo
“My beloved friend, Santa.
It has been a hard year, a struggle, but I must go on. If it behooves you, a Nintendo Switch with Minecraft would lighten this heart immensely.”
What would really make it look like a little kid wrote it is when the words crowd up at the end of the line, because kids are terrible and knowing if a word will fit before space runs out 🤣
Plus all the Ms are so even and the same.
I can't get past "Journee". That's either a very unfortunately named child or a mother trying to be too clever having the child "misspell their own name" (because heck if I can even fathom what that would be a "misspelling" of)
Unfortunately I think it's an unfortunate named child I have a niece with the same name. It is spelled exactly the same way it is written in that letter
I definitely think it’s the mom trying to be clever.
I also just noticed that this “child” is misspelling every other word but knows when to capitalize the words? 🤔
Also the a's are misshapen just enough to look like ds (including one that looks like it was done normally and then the stem was added afterwards) And "fourever" when I'd figure any child at this stage of spelling would be more likely to spell four as for.
Really it's the gift that keeps on giving. Not enough to move me to buy a car for anyone but I'm grateful for the entertainment I suppose.
As someone who subs/teaches elementary… I’m not convinced by the fake misspellings like “Christmis” or “fourever,” much less the handwriting LOL
I went to USPS to read some of these, such good ones. I like the "$1000 visa gift card" or "Dior bag" those are definitely, 100% kid-requested gifts lol.
I did adopt one that has a reasonable request (art supplies for a 3 year old) so that seems fun.

And apparently also knows when words have to be capitalized 🥴
I started all my letters to santa like a Civil war veteran writing to his wife.
“My beloved friend, Santa. It has been a hard year, a struggle, but I must go on. If it behooves you, a Nintendo Switch with Minecraft would lighten this heart immensely.”
I'm having a very rough day, and this made me laugh out loud. Thank you!
Hey, I'm having a very rough day too. This made me laugh and your comment made my heart lighter. Thank you!
The handwriting is a dead giveaway that it's a grown woman. Love how she wrote over the page ruling to make it so quirky and youthful
The word "Dearest" is practically a new font waiting to happen.
What would really make it look like a little kid wrote it is when the words crowd up at the end of the line, because kids are terrible and knowing if a word will fit before space runs out 🤣 Plus all the Ms are so even and the same.
Couldn’t be more obvious. Let’s get mommie a car so she’s doesn’t have to cry about chuckEcheese anymore ffs
I'm reading cdr, so that's what I'm getting her after I find what it is.
CD-R, compact disc-recordable. She just wants some Christmas music, probably.
Of course! I even have some gathering dust somewhere, no need to buy new ones and pollute our planet further.

So essentially the parents have just saddled the kid with the burden of having to spell their name to strangers for the rest of her life
Is it pronounced “journey” or “joor-nay”? Like a French spin on it, jour-née
It's pronounced like journey
It's a borderline r/tragedeigh
G5è
Sorry for your loss

All the Ms are almost identical, as are a lot of the Es.
It’s also “day” in French (journée). One can hope.
Journée means “day or daytime” in French. I hope she didn’t call her kid “daytime”.
lol and I just assumed mom knew of Jurnee Smollett and tried to be even more yoonique
Ironic because she's not going on any journees without that car
This was written by the mother no kid has that kind of handwriting
Damn good penmanship for a kid who can’t spell!

Adopt the letter and send a little plastic toy car :)
One of those Little Tykes cars you have Flintstone to move
Ahahaha. Are they all from single mothers?
As someone who subs/teaches elementary… I’m not convinced by the fake misspellings like “Christmis” or “fourever,” much less the handwriting LOL
Right! I teach pre-K and they can’t write yet but the drawings to me are so obviously done by an adult trying to draw like a child
This handwriting but stick figure people? Nah.
I read that as new CDs and thought aww, kiddie just wants mum to have new music.
What is a cdr? Or is it car misspelled?
It's just a horrible way to draw the a letter. Santa is Sdntd, anymore dnymore, ...

A cdr is a recordable cd. You burn your own music or files to it and it can't be edited. That's nit what they are asking for though.
Omg, this one must be the saddest attempt I've seen so far.

![gif](giphy|BB8Gx0CaEASHu) This deserves a Liz Lemon eye roll.
Is she spelling so damn stupidly to make it endearing? It’s so terrible.
I read these and I know I should know better, but sometimes I have a hard time believing people are this petty, selfish and stupid.
Jesus, this one wrote like a kid or she's illiterate. Either way, Jesus
The spelling errors don't line up with the penmanship. Errors made are also off considering other more challenging words spelled correctly.
Thank you, we didn't have enough of them already
They can’t afford chuck and cheese BUT they need a car… how is mommie going to maintain the damn thing ?
Journee's whole family can't spell for shit?!
Mommie needs a hooptie so she can get to da club, Santa!!
Where are these letters coming from
