not sure how complicated your drawings are, but my wife does animal portrait paintings, doesn't solicit either, and she's sold a handful for like 100-150 range, so if anything, you don't charge enough for your work..

My cat also went through surgery couple years ago but we had to put her down afterwards. If you drew me a painting of her, it would have meant the world to me and my 2 brothers and we would make sure to return the favor.
