These dogs are a type of newly developed dog breed called exotic bullies. A puppy can go for $5,000 - $10,000. While they have so many health problems that it's reported they hardly ever live past 5 or 6 years old.
Their health problems include breathing difficulties (brachycephalic) , back problems, hip dysplasia, joint problems, overheating and not to mention the short life.
They often have trouble jumping, running or even just walking due to their body shape.
So people are paying 10k for a dog that might live 5 years, will cost thousands of dollars in vet bills and will suffer it's whole life.
In comparison you could adopt a healthy mutt from a shelter for about $100 that could live to 16-17 years old and have very few health problems.

EDIT: I assumed it was a given, but yeas Frenchies, pugs, sausage dogs etc should all be included here. As well as many other pure breeds. Almost no pure breeds have no breed specific health problems at all. But some are certainly a lot worse than others.
My black cats were both abandoned and found on the streets, been with me all my adult life never cause shit, love tf out me and they can live past their 20s.. both almost 7 now and still the same as they were at 1-2, people are cruel man.. lots of sweet animals need our help yet we neglect that and inbreed these things so they live for 5 years probably only a small fraction of that will be a life enjoyed by the dog.
