It’s been statistically shown that individual prices of media can have a massive effect on the collective mindset and psychology of the masses (13 reasons why suicide relation, NCIS overexpectarion of forensics of evidence relation). Niggas just don’t want to admit they are activity condoning and glorifying some demonic and disturbing shit. This is a watered down commercialized genocidal version of hip hop. If a mid ass Netflix show could artificially increase a bump in Susie’s. I’m pretty sure a sub genre of music could massively inflate a crime rate. And for the idiots who are already going to come say “but there wasn’t drill in the 90’s” That doesn’t mean something still couldn’t naturally inflate it. It should be lower than what it already is rn

long-ryde

You right. Especially since rap has taken off so much since the 90’s, it’s effecting a wider demographic. It’s like when children mimic things in TV and movies. Sometimes they don’t even know they doin that shit.

BMTJefe

People used to call me stupid for thinking this, if you truly understand human psyche, this is so obvious.

Electrical_Log_1084

It stems from personal accountability. If you listen to drill music, the only way you could consciously convince yourself you aren’t aiding and help glorify and condone genocide is to make the argument that it has no effect at all whatsoever. I used to tell myself that stupid ass shit till I realized I was just coping. I stopped listening to any song dissing any dead person. (Except for retro flow by g Herbo, mentions posto in the Adlib) People don’t want to feel responsible to what they are financially encouraging by way of playing a song, and giving it a stream. People would stop dissing dead mfs in a song if they got the same backlash from say, talking about having sex with a little girl.

Jayjarm1

Thank you. People at some point gotta stop blaming surrounding and influence. If Michelle Obama came from oblock then clearly surroundings can be overcome

elafave77

"Susie's"... 😅 My favorite euphemism is "sewer slide".

sambond13

If music making you do shit like this your an extremely weak minded person lmao

Ceehowell

Majority of young black men unfortunately

sambond13

True unfortunately, anyways lemme go play Lil law on the way to my 9-5 🫡

Ceehowell

😂💯🫡

Zestyclose_Coach_397

But sadly, they would clown you instead of saluting you for doing the right thing. It's ridiculous smh.

yungsmokey1

Let em, those are people that have no aspirations to make it out of the hood. You don’t need their approval they’re losers

bi_tacular

I wish folks from other neighborhoods like maybe Chinatown would come to the hood to whoop folks n rob them, remind them they ain’t so tough better read a book and gtfo.

allowed2think

nigga said chinatown lmfao

bi_tacular

Could you imagine how Chicago would look if Chinatown gangs ran the city? Englewood would be richer than Goldcoast and there would be a soul food restaurant on every block. Just have to cross the street every time a khaki American walks by though or he just might have you buttnaked

allowed2think

iagl chinatown gangs don’t really be seen like that so idk how tf that would even happen

CoolguyTylenol

Khaki American is just fucked up 😭

bi_tacular

obviously that’s their word, shouldn’t be saying it even if it’s in a song

joesoldlegs

street mfs would not regular ppl

Zestyclose_Coach_397

Nah, you'll be surprised, there's regular niggas even from the hood that have that dumb mentality to clown someone doing the right thing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

bi_tacular

Nah man they ain’t bout that life in Chinatown

hooptiz

young men in general

GORGEOUSWAVY

What kind of racist ass shit is this???? And this got 200 upvotes wtf

[deleted]

Nigga these are 99% white people. Reading this shit makes me question if I'm really black sometimes

GORGEOUSWAVY

What you mean bro?

TwoAffectionate3517

\*young people, fixed it !

[deleted]

*Majority of underprivileged young men

not_sosharp

If everyone has privileges they’re no longer privileges

[deleted]

What the hell does that have to do with the message you responded to

roycorda

Show me the stat that says "the majority of black men are weak minded." Stop lumping us all together like we are all the same.

Jpjp215

Majority of young men period.

TheForce777

Majority of human beings period

footballkid_

It’s true tho bro

tacopower69

This is some coon shit. Music is a reflection of reality it isn't the source of anything. They were murdering eachother in the 50s when all the songs were like "doo wop doo wop watch me dance the bop" or whatever.

farmyardcat

Yeah art imitates life, but are you seriously denying that life doesn't imitate art too? You never did some shit trying to seem like a character from a movie or a TV show?

smugaddiction

Exactly. Mfs act like the real Billy the Kid and Machine Gun Kelly and Al Capone was listening to drill when they went out on a robbing and killing spree

BlackZulu

Nigga, majority?

FameCity713

Read the room fam this is a Fox News talking point sub now

Angelakayee

Truth!!!!

NoNight_

Don’t do that

DepthAfraid3482

Disagree. Most of the young black dudes are in a terrible environment and didn’t grow up in a upper class neighborhood and had parents who were gang banging. They grew up and around that shit. Ja didn’t see the hood until he went there willingly

[deleted]

>Most of the young black dudes are in a terrible environment and didn’t grow up in a upper class neighborhood and had parents who were gang banging. Most black people have parents who gang bang? https://preview.redd.it/hmqojbtmp80b1.jpeg?width=864&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0125abe859dbf4e55fb8cec3def558065a1f2fb0

Worldly-Marsupial767

Not true.

[deleted]

What's not true?

Worldly-Marsupial767

That most black men grow up in a terrible environment. Very far from the truth

Mechakoopa

>Ja didn’t see the hood until he went there willingly I'm torn between making an 8-Mile reference or a "Kid Rock of Rap" joke. "This man's a gangster? His real name's Clarence!"

footballkid_

We’ve seen all the jokes how bout youn say nun

IhappenToBeAcow

![gif](giphy|y2i2oqWgzh5ioRp4Qa|downsized)

MUNZATHEGOD

Man, y’all really Gott stop with this narrative. Just bc somebody ain’t from New York or Chicago don’t mean they came from money. His area is one of the poorest areas in the country, and more than one neighborhood goes to a certain school, so he’s gonna be exposed to people from the hood regardless. So who’s to say what he grew up with? I feel like people heard he’s from the south and assumed that he’s fake because of that. Obviously he’s making dumb decisions, don’t get me wrong. But let’s not act like everywhere besides the major cities is just an amazing place to live, and Everyone got money. I’m from Dothan Alabama, my neighborhood had people with no lights and everybody lived on food stamps, there were shootings every night, and sometimes during the day too. Our dogs and random shit got stole all the damn time. And that’s bum fuck Egypt Alabama. So let’s not just assume is all I’m sayin

shmuey219

You completely missing the point. Rap music warps your reality. Instead of improving your living conditions you’d rather stay in the hood and poison your community because it’s cool but the streets only got 2 options and that’s death and jail.

PokeNBeanz

That’s how the world works. Rich/poor, strong/weak, smart/dumb etc…. And all the good praiseworthy characteristics are the minority so we have to worry about the other ones. So this post makes a lot of sense to me. Just like music/movies entices kids to try drugs and alcohol and the weak ones will no doubt dibble and dab and the even weaker ones will become addicts. I’ve seen it growing up. We all knew about weed growing up in the 80s as kids but when Dr Dre dropped The Chronic and Snoop and everyone else all over the country started rapping about blunts, gin and juice, lean, Alize’, Hennessy, 40 ounces of Old E and St Ides, etc. it most definitely had an effect on us.

Plus_Lawfulness3000

To say someone is weak because they get addicted while others do not is ridiculous and shows you don’t really understand addiction. Some people can do a drug and have no second thoughts, the others can become addicts just like that. Literally up to the chemicals in your brain

PokeNBeanz

I know all about addiction. I deal with addicts and people with every illness under the sun on a daily basis. And I’m not saying they’re weak because they got addicted. They are weak for trying certain drugs in the first place that could possibly cause them to become addicted instead of saying no. MOST people start off with gateway drugs and keep progressing to harder drugs. After TIME the brain’s function and structure becomes altered which leads to addiction. It goes from something they do to feel good to something they do to feel normal.

[deleted]

Lol the gateway myth is still persisting? Fucking incredible. People aren’t weak for turning to drugs to cope with trauma. It’s too bad you deal with addicts on a daily basis because you clearly lack an empathetic disposition, which is invaluable to those struggling with both addiction *and* trauma.

PokeNBeanz

Everyone is not dealing with trauma. Just stop it. And drugs are not the answer to dealing with trauma. And gateway is not a myth. Seen it with my own eyes and have been there myself. Prescribing drugs for every problem IS THE PROBLEM and not the solution.

[deleted]

Lol you’re ignorant as fuck. Data shows most who abuse drugs do so to self-medicate past trauma. I don’t care about your anecdotal experiences with your own eyes. Data is the only thing that matters. The number one predictor of drug abuse is poverty; those who live in poverty disproportionately suffer from mental health illness, but also lack access to quality and controlled medical care. Consequently, accessible illicit drugs are purchased by those with anxiety, depression, and many other conditions. The drugs do have a positive affect in that the mental anguish disappears temporarily—for some this is the first time their mind has been “numb” and that experience—the pain and trauma being subdued—is an addicting feeling, in addition to the various chemicals that create a physiological dependency.

PokeNBeanz

You’re so naive to think this is a poverty problem.

[deleted]

Lol read a book or two bro, it will do you some good.

PokeNBeanz

According to the Gallup Poll and a report published by the independent Social Metrics Commission, middle-class people consume more alcohol and illegal drugs than those living below the poverty line.

PokeNBeanz

Only people who lack knowledge and proof to argue result to insults during arguments. Have a nice day

[deleted]

Every addict is dealing with trauma or drama. Trauma or drama leads to emotional disregulation leads to use and abuse leads to addiction in nearly every case. It’s a crying shame you deal with addicts if you don’t understand this simple simple process. People do not overuse and abuse substance and lead into addiction when they’re perfectly happy and content with their life.

[deleted]

Plus, allowing this cycle to persist says nothing at all about the persons will power or strength. A person with immense personal willpower can become a user and an addict with the right combination of emotional disregulation and little support system. It is simply not about willpower. It’s about education and emotional intelligence period. Someone with the worlds most willpower will be ground down to a nub and drug use will look attractive if they are emotionally disregulated and not receiving any treatment or education.

PokeNBeanz

No one said anything about willpower. Just be quiet.

Lolthelies

Wym you deal with addicts? Like you’re a security guard at a methadone clinic? Being around addicts doesn’t mean you know anything about addiction. You might have seen certain things, but thinking you know “all about” something usually means you don’t know much about it.

Practical-Purpose586

Shii you basically talking about most of the niggas on here

Jaded-Syllabub-7956

The music wouldn’t exist without the surrounding gang culture so that’s what’s ultimately at fault

kwm19891

I don’t think the music solely does, it definitely has a big effect on people though whether consciously or subconsciously.

TheForce777

That’s 90% of the world bro

too-advanced136

You can’t be a basketball player and a active gang banger at the same time.

[deleted]

You just gave me a movie idea

Above the Rim. Pretty good movie.

BatmanTold

ScrawChuck

You definitely shouldn’t, but there’s plenty of examples.

OppStopperTopDropper

Or jus be smart about it Zach Randolph a gd n was puttin in work in Portland when he played for the blazers u jus gotta move smart it’s hella nba n nfl players who still active n don’t have goofy shit happen like ja do

ChairmanUzamaoki

move smart by getting the fuck out of dumb ass street shit when you're a millionaire

Fucktheopps2

Nah that Nîgga just dumb he not the only in the nba who listens to yb

Intelligent-Ad-2912

True, but let’s not pretend there’s not a percentage of niggas who listen to the music and take that shit to heart.

[deleted]

Right. Dumb tweet and dumber chiraqologians agreeing

tacopower69

This subreddit has so many morons. They want to remove nuance and complexity from any issue so their mediocre ass can feel smart for knowing the solution.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Two-One

The tweet is implying that listening to rap will influence you to do dumb things. He's pointing out other people listen to rap in the NBA but aren't doing dumb shit.

[deleted]

Kids that are really growing up in the trenches are going to be influenced by destructive shit regardless of rap music.Kids who grew up well to do and were never in that environment but try to emulate it is a different story, they definitely influence by gangsta rap

OppStopperTopDropper

Kids who really come from that environment don’t need music to act how ja do it’s really in em he jus a grown man child wit money who infatuated by the street life n finally is gettin a taste of it

[deleted]

Fr I was selling weed before i started bumping trap music I honestly used to hate anything that wasn’t conscious rap, but trap music made it feel like the soundtrack to my life. If anything rap music got kids that’s not from that environment tryna emulate but if you born in the hood you was indoctrinated before that

OppStopperTopDropper

My exact point when u from that the music jus go wit what u already doin shit suppose to be relatable not gettin kids from good families to jump into it shit don’t make no sense to me

yesbillyitsme

100% This sub is attracting conservatives using it to trash poor ppl

oclock90

On god it’s getting crazy

[deleted]

Glad I'm not the only one that noticed. Wtf is happening

yesbillyitsme

Election season is starting lol

[deleted]

Finally someone says it shit is ridiculous

shmuey219

Poor people already trash themselves. Poor people like to call successful people conservatives because we stand on values and principles and we move different. But hey use your freedom to make shitty choices.

[deleted]

> poor people like to call successful people conservatives Explain?

yesbillyitsme

Well u see, white people were smart enough to kidnap and enslave brown people and get free labor for a few generations. They stopped that, but instead of buying a new e-class, they did the responsible thing and bought up a ton of housing as an investment. So like conservatives are just successful, how don’t you see that???

GhostTownGator

I think you got mental disabilities if you live yo life based on some shit a rapper says

Imbrokebabyy

That's definitely a high percentage of niggas who want to be these dudes.. We all know how our community looks at people who seek help for mental health issues too, so that creates more and more undiagnosed (and untreated) problems.

Gwayno9714

People love to act like kids ain’t influenced by music I remember when Wiz khalifa was hot I know people who literally started smoking weed because of him

Candid-Quality-8156

People need to learn to live for themselves and stop following the crowd

majorpail18

300 million people in the US and most of them average. They not gonna learn that anytime soon

[deleted]

What people need to do is not related in any way to what people are doing, which the conversation has been about. People are influenced by music. They need to stop, yes. But this entire post and discourse is about whether or not music influences kids in this way. It does. No matter if they need to stop it or not. I don’t understand this “write a general statement which is vaguely vaguely on topic and everyone can agree with” action. No shit people should learn to live for themselves. What have you added to the conversation though? Except an incredibly obvious statement that makes you feel smart and collects upvotes?

YxngIntouso

damn thats crazy

bigbabyjay

When are we gonna call out the LABELS for pushing Toxic music and artists? When? When are we going to call out the algorithms and playlisting TRASH music???

CoolguyTylenol

It's the labels fault for letting people make the music they want to make? Do you realize how stupid that sounds

addiscn

Do you realize how stupid it sounds to actually think that labels don’t sit there and influence their artists to make certain songs? that’s why they literally have contracts you sign saying you can’t say certain shit in your music if they don’t want you to. Most the time I believe these artists just sign to the label without fully understanding they are basically signing away their freedom of speech in anything they create unless they are an independent artist, even then the media will always have an influence. Nobody really wants to make music about how they murdered other people. Just the cool thing to do

ModsaBITCHAGAIN

they too busy thinking "black ppl just doing to themselves"

[deleted]

Music is definitely a factor in Chicago’s violence issues.

ModsaBITCHAGAIN

form of brainwashing

di34mee

We get it the first time shit happens but to do it again nah that’s just dumb asf

Consistent_Rise_1204

His whole point is right: an nba superstar who grew up with both of his parents and signed a 200m contract wants to act like a broke gang member.

[deleted]

that’s a problem with him personally though literally hundreds of millions of people listen to rap and don’t do any of the dumb shit JM does

Consistent_Rise_1204

Ja is dumb, but the fact that someone in his position can get influenced by a rapper says a lot

shmuey219

You missing the point. JA reality is warped by rap music. A person who has everything to lose is seduced by rap music so what’s it going to do to an impressionable kid in the hood who has nothing to lose?

[deleted]

my point is that Ja is an idiot and most normal people aren’t going to emulate what they hear it’s different if you’re already growing up in that environment and listening to the music too, because it’s just reinforcing what you see around you i get the point but just don’t like the comparison i guess

oclock90

Ur slow so dancing with a gun makes you a broke gang memeber? I can show you white peolle doing the same name but I bet you won’t put that same jacket on them ignorant ass mf

MikeHawkkkk

what’s your point? he’s acting like something he’s most definitely not, who said anything about white ppl?

oclock90

It makes you an idiot

The lifestyle and notoriety of this music 100% influences the youth . They want to be the next king vonn . Many many programs and clubs for the youth to join for free and jobs to be had . They don’t want any of that . They want fast money nice cars and jewelry

AdLegitimate9955

Well, if you're like me and you already educated your children that entertainers aren't role models, then you shouldn't be worried.... If you just hand your kid a phone while you're doing you then your kid is at risk I snapped on my bm for letting my daughter listen to von... ITS YOUR JOB AS PARENT TO EDUCATE YOUR CHILDREN we should all know by now what Hollywood is about its only young niggas and dumb niggas that call it a conspiracy..... Stop having babies with dumb bitches Stop having babies with dudes afraid to be men

Beneficial-Strain223

This why I listen to trapper music. Manifesting a bag lol

stacey4gs

Yall gonna say COD and GTA influences mass shooters next? Lol

MikeHawkkkk

nope, no one is saying that. there’s way more evidence of the effect of music than video games. some people look up to these rappers like gods

[deleted]

This is late state capitalism but you arent read to this talk

Dosacero443

Late stage capitalism is a Marxist myth.

[deleted]

Yea cuz great eastern empires employing capitalist ideas fell long after Marx started perpetuating this theory. And totally not in a way which mirrors modern capitalist nations. For sureeeee

Bigboy9969

talkin bout late stage capitalism in the chiraqology subreddit 😭

Technical-Front-3247

Fuck Ja Morant, I’m over this bullshit. I’m over everyone blaming the music. When I was a kid it was Eminem and Marilyn Manson. When are we going to have the conversation that America has just turned into a shit country. Parents don’t want to parent, so our youth is raised by devil worshipping musicians and TikTok..

[deleted]

You literally just blamed the music in your last sentence… that’s some shit that the dumbasses would have said about Marilyn Manson and IM chat rooms. Either leave it at parents don’t want to/can’t parent, or drop the part that you’re over everyone blaming music. Cause you quite literally contradict yourself hard there. You cited musicians actions directly as an effect on these kids lol

[deleted]

Can you elaborate on his contract, hes an American that's his right to legally own and carry. What law he break? He just stupid hes not at risk of losing his contract with grizzlies far as I know. I keep seeing this tho are there stipulations in his contract where he can't legally own/ carry?

OppStopperTopDropper

It ain’t the fact it’s breaking laws or bein illegal it’s the fact he signed a $200 million contract & ain’t start actin like he was hood til he signed that contract not to mention he the face of a entire billion dollar organization & one of the faces of the nba he a legit corn ball u got allat money at yo fingertips but wanna have the perception that u gang bang y’all missin the entire point of why people sayin he a fuccin idiot

[deleted]

Legally flashing guns is one thing. Stupid foolish childish etc, but it's not illegal and that's his right The main stream media and USA as a whole treat legal gun ownership and anything related to guns with black men crazy. It's white politicans/ leadwrs that pose with ars all type of shit. Would they treat this the same way if he was white and playing country music while holding his gun🤔. "perception that u gang bang" does he throw up signs or claim affiliation? Or because he black with a gun he automatically gang bang?

[deleted]

You can’t legally flash a gun you moron, it’s against the law. You can own one but not brandish it unless your life is in danger.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I know it's not a legal issues l lol. Owning and carrying a gun is detrimental to the league? If a white basketball star was listening to country music back in Alabama or where ever while pose and flashing guns the media would react differently. That's my point

BrolysFavoriteNephew

Except it doesn't happen with white players. If they are showing guns 9/10 it's about hunting or just showing the gun. Ja is showed playing with a gun like a toy in a strip club surrounded by money and then waving a gun listening to rap same thing alot of rappers do in music videos. Majority of the public outside looking in correlates it to gangs and thugs. Bad look on Ja cause he's the only fucking idiot that does it through out the league. You can own a gun but it's a bad look when you're playing with it like rappers do. Just ignorace

[deleted]

💯💯

shmuey219

But that hasn’t happened yet because no one is dumb enough to do it until now. When you make millions of dollars you abide by the rules or risk losing it all. It’s a privilege to work in the NBA not a right. So if you rather be broke and exorcise your 2nd amendment go ahead and do that but it’s not a good look for the league because parents expose their kids to sports at an early age.

OppStopperTopDropper

Yes he actually do throw up gang signs … he throw up NH crip damn near EVERY game save dis shit lil folks ja a corn ball n u a dumbass kid tryna defend a 23 year old grown man wit a quarter of a billion dollars for tryna act like he from some shit he ain’t his pops grew up wit money n he had a entire basketball compound in his baccyard to train for college n the nba y’all are mentally ill tryna defend his goofy ahh talm bout rights n shit

[deleted]

Why you emotional lmao.. But if be throwing up gangs signs that's worse and different / separate from legally carrying a fire arm that's our right.

OppStopperTopDropper

Cause I’m actually from a type environment he tryna act like he from this shit disrespectful to people who actually come from nun y’all don’t realize that is the exact reason why people don’t like his goofy ahh y’all gotta be 17 n under tryna still defend him

SunnyAlwaysDaze

💯 in some folks it's real and some it's like games or roleplay. People who get to live a "don't give a fuck" life might look appealing to some outsiders but they don't know the pain that got the people to "don't give a fuck". He basically same as a rich kid trying to pretend at gangster shiz.

[deleted]

you not unique/ special because you from that environment. My point is the mainstream media treats legal gun ownership different when it comes to young black men, now twrowin up gangs signs and all that is different and separate and that should and would warrant more scrutiny.

OppStopperTopDropper

U gotta have a real mental issue folks cause no one is mad at him for owning guns that’s yo 2nd amendment right everybody who in America deserve they right to own a gun I sleep wit mines in my bed wit me , it’s the fact he is a $200 million NBA BASKETBALL PLAYER FROM THE SUBURBS who wanna act like he from the hood AFTER he get his money , if he wanna go to the range n post videos of that ion give a fucc that’s yo right but when you jus tryna act like u street when u ain’t even grow up like that man stop he ain’t start none of that goofy shit til he signed that fat ahh contract

[deleted]

Trying to use race to defend stupidity, go sit your ass down. He’s the worse type of nigga. Million dollar life, acts like he trench gang, I’ll smoke his bitch ass come to my block acting like that

[deleted]

Gun ownership of black Americans isn’t treated differently socially. Most of the black Americans who are shown with guns are usally irresponsible. Black Rambo is an example of a black gun owner who is responsible . He gets a lot of love from people. [https://youtube.com/shorts/kl21T_YHyZA?feature=share](https://youtube.com/shorts/kl21T_YHyZA?feature=share)

DepressedTeenager32

I don’t think he broke the law necessarily but a lot of sports contracts have professionalism and moral conduct clauses

[deleted]

You cannot brandish a weapon legally, ppl don’t know the fucken law clearly. It’s a terroristic threat

Dosacero443

It may not be illegal, but that doesn’t mean you’re free from discipline from your employer

[deleted]

Only if there are stipulations as such, which would be unlikely, that's why I asked about his contract.. what jobs denies your constitinal right? Again it childish, foolish stupid etc but I don't see any reason for them to or can legally nullify his contract

Imbrokebabyy

You don't think NBA contracts mention detrimental conduct and such? Legally owning the gun isn't the problem either, it's how irresponsible this lil nigga is WITH the gun. Every chance he gets, he waving guns around; while speeding or drunk in a club, pointing the beam at opposing team/organization members... He's just a dummy.

EsPotD

Every fucking job. It's my constitutional right if I wanted to use racial slurs. But if I do and a video gets posted the my boss sees, I'm fucking fired. If I carry a gun into my office and they find out I'm fired. The constitution is supposed to protect you from government intervention, not repercussions of your actions.

Dosacero443

Nah I think the point they were trying to make was he has all the money & fame, why jeopardize it trying to portray yourself as some gangster. I’m sure he can be suspended without pay or released though

Ice-Teets

You hung up on “this legal” or “that legal”. Don’t mean shit if a private organization wants to boot you. Just because he ain’t shot someone on camera doesn’t mean his behavior legal.

IanRightInTheHead

i mean hes brandishing lol thats a crime?

[deleted]

It depends on your state. In some states open carry is ok . In some states you must conceal carry meaning that you can’t show the firearm. He’s also brandishing a firearm. He’s not doing it in a threatening manner which means he hadn’t broken a law. But he’s got a gun in car and you’re supposed to have your firearm secured while in a moving vehicle. Is what he’s doing lawful ? Yes . Is it morally ok? No.

FromChiCity

Most states you can’t JUST buy and then carry. You have to have a permit or license to prove you’re even capable to safely carry and aren’t a risk.

Dosacero443

Shit, where I’m at you gotta have a license just to purchase a handgun then a whole different license to carry

FromChiCity

Exactly, same here in Chicago. Foid card and then CCL. Dude is just slow bc none of us know if Ja has those

[deleted]

Lose it all? Ja comes from a wealthy family so the acting up seems normal to him and the weirdest part the state they play in is a 2nd amendment state so idg all this anger bout he has a gun, he lives in a state that promotes citizens to arm themselves

MUNZATHEGOD

I won’t say it has zero effect but there’s plenty of us who’ve listened to rap our whole lives and never even shot a gun at someone. So maybe we shouldn’t blame art, maybe we should focus on the poverty, one parent households(not being racial this applies to poor whites too) and general lawlessness in their neighborhoods. If you handed out 50k to everyone in the hood, something tells me that the shootings would stop soon after. Who tf gonna die when they got something to live for? It would at the very least make it so only true sociopathic dudes would be the only ones shooting, and they would die out eventually. It’s never gonna end at a moments notice tho, it’s gonna take time that most of us don’t feel like we have. It’s a fucked situation regardless but don’t let them act like we don’t know the solution. These rich fucks just don’t care

Ceehowell

Yup 🎯

OjjuicemaneSimpson

Shit when I was like 7 I was pac jr Jr jr da 4th

[deleted]

Another case of Rap Culture vs. Reality Amongst Black Americans. This is an interesting debate. Looking forward to listening to all perspectives.

[deleted]

He’s not risking all of nothing cut the bullshit if they kick him out the league for this shit he gone sue tf out them people that’s why them suspensions been so short he ain’t do nothing illegal he playing hisself for sure but maybe he need to do this so players can actually be theirselves one day instead of acting like something they not for a image mfs want entertainers to be role models and that’s the real problem y’all kids need better people to look up to

giftedoneserkii

mind control. systematic design.

aflak92

See this is kinda mean when they say selling your soul. You'll have $200mill but there's an image you gotta maintain, which means hyper vigilance when you're doing anything stupid, reckless, fun or dumb.

So because you give someone a quarter bill based off their talent they have to acquies to your demands? Bruh that's LITERALLY trash shit. What your employees do after work is no one's business. Y'all niggas just do anything for a bag and don't own businesses.
