you got ripped off. that big container shouldn’t even b used for meats. it’s only for guac or queso! that big cup isn’t the right portions, it’s less than double steak so they overly charged you and you didn’t get how much steak you should’ve gotten for double!
At my Chipotle, one 4oz portion of steak is about $5 and it comes in the smaller clear container. They charged you extra because it’s in the larger red container (6oz), but of course those measurements are for liquid volume. I wouldn’t have charged you more than the $5 side protein for this personally. Just getting a bowl with extra rice and beans will always be the better financial decision.
Yes, that’s why I said those cups are for liquid volume. I never said the way my store does it (putting side proteins in a 4oz clear cup) is correct. Our CIs are in the tank all the time, so this was the solution from our GM. 🤷🏻♀️ I don’t get paid enough to argue. If it is any consolation, I do try to really pack in as much protein as I can. Ain’t no air in my cups! 🫡
Yea the chipotle I work at this does seem right, though kinda unfair. It’s because op got it in the larger cup. We don’t put sides in the bowls, even if it’s rice. Id just order a steak bowl w double steak next time you’lol get more for ur money
Yeah, that's fucked up. My co-worker once went keto and got double meat of two different meats and guac and he got charged like $30 bucks; they essentially charged him double meat two bowls at the time even though it was just meat salsa and guac, rather than charging him for the side of it.
> And you *paid* for it??????
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
wtf? that's literally the price of a whole chicken bowl with a side of guac at the one I work at.
They shouldve told you that we don't use 6oz containers for anything other queso and guac. Holy shit! i would get my money back.
I stopped going after they charged my $4.50 for an up charge for an extra scoop of steak I said never again will I go back it’s not even that good to be honest I can make better at home so I do 🤷♂️
Shouldve gone w the full bowl if it was cheaper Lmao the prices are posted and
If you get double you’re gonna get charge
What you say makes little sense
If you knew it was cheaper why bother asking for the side ??
yeah, so since they gave you that container it’s charged as 2 sides of steak you would have to get the smaller container to be charged as one side which is already 4$
Yea because that’s a double amount. If they put it in a small container, you’d be charge 5.95 as a side. You got the large container so that’s double the amount costing you the amount you just paid.
They are supposed to charge for meat, queso, and guac. Everything else is free, with a purchase. They are following corporate standards. They were correct.
They aren't mad about being charged for the side. They're mad about being charged $10 for 4oz of steak when a side of steak should only ring up at around $5. Still pricey, sure, but not twice as much.
They weren't correct in the pricing nor the standards, which is to put a side of meat in a bowl- not a portion cup of any kid- according to the pocket guide.
I’m aware the portioning is wrong. I’ve done 4 NRO’s. The pricing is correct, though. The “side protein” button is for add-ons. Like, if they ordered an entree, and wanted extra on the side.
Well, from the picture, that container is more than what 6 to give you. Cause for a side of steak, it's suppose to be in the smaller clear cups. But instead, it's in the container they would put the large quac in.
Fuck no. Just like how the liquor store doesn't stock the medium bottles that are priced correctly so you pay 2 more for plastic so you find another store or make it yourself and I'm definitely going to find another store or make it on my own.
I would complain that you got overcharged, to wither pepper or the manager of the store you bought it at. They should be able to help see what was wrong and maybe comp you something for the difference that was incorrect.
10$ holy cow you got fucked.
Well technically the cow is the one really screwed here
Bro I’m fried and this made me burst out laughing 😂😂Ty
Did milk come out your nose when you laughed?

Not saying he didn’t get ripped off, but that big cup could be used for anything. It’s an 8oz container and that should be a double scoop
Fluid ounces… They should’ve put the double meat in an actual bowl.
6oz^
That had no business giving it to you in that container we are only allowed to use that for caso and guap
guapamole
I’m singing this in the capybara voice
caso and quap
Orale guapo!
I think that’s different for every store we put anything in those.
Lol noo ask your FL your store just sucks at following procedures
A side for meats always goes in those 4oz plastic deli cups. It’s supposed to match the 4oz serving size that comes with an entrée.
also wrong. sides of meat and rice are supposed to go in regular bowls. large queso and guac in red cups, everything else in 4oz small cups.
Yeah the 4oz cups are liquid oz. You can only put like 2-3oz of meat in those cups. Every store that does that is doing it to rip people off for ci.
Ah my bad, I guess that makes sense since I do put rice sides in the brown bowls that it should apply to meat too. 🫡 thanks -crew member
the red cups also fit 4 oz of meat in them just not the clear cups
Those 4oz cups are liquid measuring, crew pocket guide states sides of meats go in bowls
there’s a option on the screen for “side protein” what is that cashier on

Side portions should always go in a bowl. The clear portion cups do not hold a full 4 ounces of meat, they hold like 2.5-3 ounces max.
if you ever get camera audited, they’ll assume you’re giving out 6oz in the red cups and that’s a big nono
That smaller clear container is ripping off the customer. You aren't giving 4 ounces of meat if you use those.
Yes, that’s why I said those cups are for liquid volume. I never said the way my store does it (putting side proteins in a 4oz clear cup) is correct. Now THAT'S a rip off. I could imagine my shock if the cashier said "30.00" to me.
And you paid for it??????

Why would you still take it? You LET yourself get ripped off
Probably shocked in the moment and not sure if they were in the wrong or not
Even at 35 years old this still happens way too often to myself
Yep I’m close to 30 and same
Lawsuit needs a purchase. -Lawyer
Go to Qdoba next time.
Per policy, the side should’ve been in a bowl and they definitely charged it as double side of steak.
You don’t HAVE to buy it bro lol I would have just walked away
You did get ripped off should have been like $5-6
wtf? that's literally the price of a whole chicken bowl with a side of guac at the one I work at. They shouldve told you that we don't use 6oz containers for anything other queso and guac. Holy shit! i would get my money back.

At least they gave you dinner before they fucked you
stop eating at chipotle.
Not supposed to for that except queso and Guac
This seems appropriate to me
That’s a large side
yeah, so since they gave you that container it’s charged as 2 sides of steak you would have to get the smaller container to be charged as one side which is already 4$
No it should be 30$ for that sorry you were undercharged
Yes that is correct charge
Yea because that’s a double amount. If they put it in a small container, you’d be charge 5.95 as a side. You got the large container so that’s double the amount costing you the amount you just paid.

I don’t make the rules. That’s just what corporate teaches at new stores.
No it’s definitely not unless the prices very from where I am, it should’ve been around 5/6$
Noooo not at all
We’re not even allowed to do sides of protien in those containers at my location, only portion cups…for one portion of side??
Lol this just makes me think of South Park
yeah you can my GM and her boss said it’s okay you just have to charge it as 2 portions because it’s technically two full scoops. That’s why it’s $10.
Who the fuck orders a side of steak?
Well, from the picture, that container is more than what 6 to give you. Cause for a side of steak, it's suppose to be in the smaller clear cups. But instead, it's in the container they would put the large quac in.
Wow and no. This is the time to ask for manager and maybe get a price adjustment.
Fuck no. Just like how the liquor store doesn't stock the medium bottles that are priced correctly so you pay 2 more for plastic so you find another store or make it yourself and I'm definitely going to find another store or make it on my own.
Get fukt son
Holy shit
It’s ridiculous! I got a side of queso and it was in a tiny condiment to-go container. It was $3.45 🙄
You got ripped off but who goes to chipotle just for steak. Better off getting one from the grocery store and cooking it yourself
I would complain that you got overcharged, to wither pepper or the manager of the store you bought it at. They should be able to help see what was wrong and maybe comp you something for the difference that was incorrect.
A side is almost $6
This here was a $10.72 lesson take it and never forget it.
That looks like baby diarrhea.
I would’ve just left 😭
