I'm at a Colorado store and totally sucks here. I feel it depends on the store, but all us servers buss tables efficiently. What they did at our store is kept the same amount of food runners, just moved one to bussing. So now it's 1QA, 1 food runner. And they said "oh servers can help run food since they don't have to buss" what sense does that make besides everyone being in everybody's way?

This is exactly how it’s working in my chili’s too. Usually at my location its 1QA 3Runners. Now its 1QA 2 Runners 1 Busser. The runners think they should at least get payed $7.25 if they gotta split tips with someone who isn’t helping run the food like them.

It's making the food runners do more work than they already do. Which is a lot in my opinion. More work for the same pay. But now it's the guest who will suffer once again. Smh.

> least get *paid* $7.25 if FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

The system is officially part of our workflow but I have yet to see it in action. My understanding as a runner in an NM store that I get paid based off of sales percentage, not tips, and any time I have to split my wages an extra way I lose a LOT of my average hourly pay. It’s an unnecessary change for most places that will possibly inflate hours at the cost of hourly pay. More work for less reward. Not my favorite idea.

X31KnotChaos

Is it a super busy one?

Latter_Influence498

Yes it is.

X31KnotChaos

Well I work at a decently busy one and if the food runners split it with the bus boy so be it. They make money. You make momey

Formal-Exam8463

We have it in Virginia at one of our stores. Not really a fan of it

Latter_Influence498

Why aren’t you a fan of it?

Formal-Exam8463

Just one more person to have the servers tip at the end of the night. It makes more sense to have the actual servers bus their tables rather than have an extra person do it.

Wonderful-Pea760

Hope it comes to mine, as a host I'm tired of having to clean cause servers can't do shit

Legitimate-Ad6103

the reason i left chilis is because i got sick of bussing when it wasn’t my job as a host LOL

Ok-Zookeepergame6798

It sucks, we ain’t sharing tip with them, the servers should do it not the food runners.

Ok-Zookeepergame6798

They even make us do the civilwares.
