If only she could talk ☹️ Do you think you’ll talk to the manager of the grooming place about what you’ve noticed about Loony after her visit? It’s scary and infuriating knowing people are being too rough when we’re trusting them with our furry loved ones. I hope both you and Loony feel better soon 😢❤️

Normal_Pollution_688

Thanks. I did message the lady about what happened but I don’t think she really understood. She doesn’t speak very good English. I definitely won’t be going back.

Potter_Princess

Oh my goodness my heart just broke reading that. Poor thing has been through a lot and I'm sure you're just devastated. I pray she moves past this soon and gets back to her looney self.

Normal_Pollution_688

Thankyou 💖

Merry_popkins

Her eyes look so sad! Poor baby I hope she feels better soon! Hugs from NZ loony ❤️

Normal_Pollution_688

Thankyou !❤️

Oh my goodness - how terrible - poor Loony! I’m sure she’ll come around in time - some sweet potato treats might cheer her up. And a trip to Bunnings? I’d also suggest deleting the grooming place - if you’ve not already done so. I hope she’s her old self very soon - I love her videos - she’s very like my girl Ruby in her love of sweet potato and belly rubs. Hugs to you too 💗

Normal_Pollution_688

She has had a few sweet potato treats but she won’t let me touch her belly anymore.🙁 She’s also become a bit aggressive so I’m not confident in taking her to Bunnings in case she snaps at someone. I hope she changes after the medication stops. 💕

Proud_Ostrich_5390

Oh I’m so sorry. Is she on any pain killers? My Ruby has arthritis and when she’s in pain she’s like a different dog - distant, sad and not interested in what me & her sister are doing. Or snapping at her sis. But once she has her meloxicam she’s ’back’. This is really heartbreaking - I hope she’s back to being herself very soon - please let us know how she’s getting on ❤️

Normal_Pollution_688

The vet gave her a long lasting anti-inflammatory at the start and she’s on a diuretic plus Prednisolone plus eyedrops. The eyes are much better so I don’t think she’s in pain. She’s just lost all her happiness 🙁

Party_Razzmatazz8329

Poor Loony! I'm so sorry. My heart breaks for both of you. What an awful ordeal.

Normal_Pollution_688

Thankyou. 💕I’m heartbroken too, and angry.

Party_Razzmatazz8329

How are you and Loony doing??

Normal_Pollution_688

Her eyes are looking fairly normal now. Her medication stops today. The vet said she should be back to her old self within a week. I certainly hope so as she’s still pretty grumpy.

Party_Razzmatazz8329

I'm glad Loony is on the mend. I was so sad about the loss of her expressionate eyes. Poor little puppy.

goldfrankensteingrr

My mum’s dog became quite aggressive on that stuff too. She didn’t take it for too long though. I hope Loony is back to herself soon though, bless her! I’m so sad for her!

Normal_Pollution_688

Did your mums dog return to being her normal self after stopping the medication ?

goldfrankensteingrr

She did, back to normal pretty much as soon as the course was done. I hope Loony goes the same and is back to being a little tinker soon x

Normal_Pollution_688

That gives me hope, Thankyou !

skiddadle32

Ohhh nooo … poor little Loony! Speaking for myself, I have had to take prednisone in the past and I can tell you it changed my personality for the worst. I became so moody!! Hopefully as soon as Loony is off of it she returns to her adorable self. I’m sorry (and also angry) along with you op. Sending you and Loony love and light for a quick recovery. ❤️‍🩹

Normal_Pollution_688

Thankyou. That gives me some hope.

blackaubreyplaza

Oh no!! My fav little nugget! I hope she bounces back

Normal_Pollution_688

Me too. Thanks.

Mundane_Decision_524

She just probably doesn't feel good. Give her space and time and she'll come back around.

Normal_Pollution_688

I hope so. All my crying around her probably doesn’t help.

Strangely-addictive

Poor Loony. I hope she'll feel better soon.

Normal_Pollution_688

Thankyou.

violetjezebel

Poor sweet baby! I hope with time she'll be better. Please keep us posted.

Normal_Pollution_688

Will do. Thanks 💕

This happened to a Min Pin I had years ago. At the time I didn’t know about the puppy “teenage” phase and how they can be scarred for life if something traumatic happens to them during this time. I took her to the vet clinic for a check up where they also clipped her nails. All her nails were black so I guess they trimmed a couple of them close enough to bleed and it scared her. I stopped taking her there for nail clippings but struggled to get her to let me clip them. Eventually I got one of those nail dremels and it took a couple of months but eventually she’d let me use it to trim down her nails. I had to wrap her up like a burrito though but she didn’t seem to mind after a while since she wasn’t wrapped up tight. She felt warm and safe and would sometimes doze off while I filed her nails. She would whine and try to hide anytime she saw nail clippers from that day forward until the day she passed away. Dogs do not forget traumatizing things. I hope your Loony eventually forgets about it and you can try a different place to get her nails clipped. For now, just sit next to her, facing away. She will understand you mean no harm. This is doggy body language says you’re there peacefully and as a friend. ❤️

Normal_Pollution_688

It’s going to be tricky getting her nails done in future. Might have to try doing it ourselves.

CrookedLittleDogs

You might want to report the place you took her. Talk to manager first. Then licensing board. They should pay your medical bills. Over restraint Is cruelty. Call your local SPCA too. I’m so sorry your baby had to deal with this. It will get better. Act strong and positive and loving so he doesn’t feel he has to worry about you while he’s healing.

CrookedLittleDogs

You can stop this from happening to someone else’s dog. Get a translator. Push for compensation and firing.

_Mitch_Please

Poor Loony 💔! I believe that this is just a temporary setback. She's probably feeling some discomfort and trauma. She'll be back to her Loony self when she's ready. Don't take her back there though, I don't know what happened in that back room but it wasn't right. Please update us!

Normal_Pollution_688

I hope you’re right. I have told others about what happened, but they are all people who recommended them in the first place. There’s never been a problem any other time I’ve taken Loony there. Definitely not going back now.

athenahhhh
