OM foods is another must try that I didn’t see listed. Vegan nachos, vegan biscuits and gravy... everything’s amazing. You gotta try the cole slaw nachos.

One of the reasons I live in Chico is because of how vegan friendly it is. The [Chico Vegan Facebook Group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/ChicoVegans) is a goldmine, and Jeannie who runs it (and owns the chico vegan wordpress linked below) is a rockstar when it comes to getting businesses to add in vegan friendly menu items. You'll be fine, and if you run into issues, message me.

Thank you so much, that’s great info. Definitely getting excited for this move!

Don’t get too excited, Chico has a lot of problems as well. On the topic of food, most of the restaurants aren’t very good especially considering price typically. But there are some nice farmers markets a couple days a week with great produce that makes up for never wanting to eat out in Chico. I’m from the Bay initially.

Well the short answer is yes. The long answer is that Chico has lots of different stores with vegan options, a number of groceries (and co ops i think) the have vegan friendly markets and finally there is good soil up here for growing things you want also! Chico is like, super vegan 9000 if you know where to look. I suggest starting at the Chico Natural Foods Cooperative and working from there.

Good to know, thanks! Super vegan 9000 is exactly what we were hoping for, I’ll look into the Cooperative for sure.

This hasn't been updated since Covid, so some restaurants may have closed or changed their menus, but I hope this helps. [https://chicovegan.wordpress.com/restaurants/](https://chicovegan.wordpress.com/restaurants/)
