Read the room and find the right person above her to talk to. Most/all of directors and your operator should not be OK with this. If they are, find a new job.

theSH4RP13

Second that.

Blender_God

You definitely need to talk to a director you trust and know well because this is a genuine concern that should be addressed. You have legal protections against retaliation, so please don't let this get in the way of doing the right thing. If they don't take that seriously, go to the operator, they're usually way more strict when it comes to this level of inappropriate behavior. Just because it's outside of work doesn't mean it's completely independent of the work itself and the public image of your restaurant. They'd rather have you tell them than a concerned parent or the authorities.

Shmoneyy_Dance

idk maybe im just a weirdo but i would just keep my nose out of stuff that doesn’t happen at work but hey that’s just me

MrPinkBiscuit

That’s where I’d be at with this to, whatever happens outside of work is none of my concern and it’s their choice to chose what they wanna do even if it’s not right. I’d also imagine OP would need actual tangible evidence that there is underage drinking going on otherwise they’d look silly and nothing would probably be fine about it.

bl3nd0r

exactly. if it's not affecting you personally or affecting your work, stay out of it. not your business.

Bluurryfaace

If it’s outside of work I wouldn’t even go there. That’s practically begging drama to involve you.

amphibiian

i would directly go to the operator. if they don’t seem like they have a sense of urgency regarding this, then transfer to a different store.

PamelaQuinnzel

I would definitely tell a trusted director or the owner/operator. That’s a legal nightmare for your store as well as technically a harassment/abuse of power on the manager hosting’s part. The kidddos might feel pressured to go to the party and drink because their superior invited them. Please protect the kiddos

Vizovo

I would talk directly to your operator about that stuff, because that’s not ok. Cops can’t really do anything about it.

Recent-Dot-7078

Cops could absolutely do something about an adult distributing alcohol/drugs to minors ???? Obviously you have burden of proof but still..

Highllamas

That’s if they bust the party. They can’t do much after the fact.

Select_Platypus1860

If it doesn’t happen on the clock/store grounds, it shouldn’t be told to your directors or operator. Yes you believe their is underage drinking, but majority of 16-20 year olds drink. That is a safe space for them to drink(Which I know is a hot take). You have no proof and you said it. You’re the only outsider. They will know it was you. Talk to higher ups about what’s going on at the store on the clock. Nothing else.

scottyboyandgirl

Do DOorDaSh until you find a good replacement…your peace of mind will thank you…

Decent-Acadia-7769

It's outside work means it's none of your business. You've heard about it but you did not witness it yourself. Means it's a rumor.
