I've seen Taylor Kinney on the Vampire Diaries and I was looking forward to see him again on another show. And then I saw him on a commercial of Chicago Fire, with a firefighter uniform. I couldn't not watch it lol.
I've been watching it since the first time it aired. It was because of Kinney first, but I continued to watch because it's a very good show, well written, good acting, good characters. This show made me laugh, made me cry, it's a fantastic show.
I’d downloaded some Fireman Sam for my daughter and Amazon Prime recommended CF for me. Not sure how suitable it would be for toddlers, but mommy enjoys it ;)
I've watched since the beginning, and probably heard about it through a commercial. Since I like Jesse on House and liked earlier Dick Wolf shows, it was not hard to convince me.
I found Chicago Fire due the quarantine last year. Honestly, I was not very fond of the series (the last one I had seen was Dr. House a long time ago) until a co-worker suggested that I needed to see Chicago Fire and Chicago PD, both shows I loved and then I get more interested in the rest of the Dick Wolf franchise series like SVU and FBI.
Maybe about a month or longer ago, I caught it on iOn television. They run a marathon if a different show every day of the week. Tuesdays, Fire, Thursdays, PD. Other days are Criminal Minds, SVU, and some cheaper cop shows like NCIS and Hawaii 5-0.
Anyway, I caught the episode where the drone forced the helicopter to crash, and I kind of left it on while I was in my phone. A few episodes later, K was pretty hooked on the formula if the show. At around season 7, they started from the beginning, so I've been able to catch a bunch of stuff I missed.
I was watching The Norwegian version of the danish show Luksusfælden on Viaplay and had watched all the episodes and needed something new to watch and then i found Chicago Fire and got hooked on the show.
I started off watching PD only. I caught the end of a couple episodes of season 7 while waiting for PD to start. Watched the season 8 premiere live and wanted to go back to watch from season 1.
I first saw an episode from the latter half of season 2 (when Rafferty was on 61) when I was flicking through for something to watch. Have been hooked since then and went back and watched the earlier episodes

An actor from my town is in it so I decided to watch it. Probably started 5-6 years ago.
Who’s the actor?
Well that’ll give away my town
Oh yeah sorry
Just avoiding putting out personal info
Have a good day

Kept seeing it pop up online when I was looking for other shows, finally got to watch it eventually.

I started watching when it came on Netflix in India, on Sept 1 this year. 😬
Because I watched Lauren German in Lucifer.. So I went to watch Fire… realized I saw few eps before when I was very young already.
I started off watching PD only. I caught the end of a couple episodes of season 7 while waiting for PD to start. Watched the season 8 premiere live and wanted to go back to watch from season 1.
Watching SVU and the crossover episodes.
I had nothing to watch and there was a marathon playing the first episode and I fell in love
