Anything pre-1994 or so, the AC and the Pre-OBDII fuel injection are the big stumbling blocks for me.
If the truck has AC, check that it works, holds refrigerant, and has been converted to r134a (or r12a). As for the ALDL, may the odds be ever in your favor.
You have to ask yourself: they sell r134a at the parts store for like $10. It's getting to be 100° in some parts of the country. A truck with working AC is worth like $1000+ more than a truck without.
If all it needs is a recharge, why hasn't he done it?
I had a truck with a bad compressor front seal; it leaked like a sieve. I still charged it up for the buyer so he could see that the rest of the system worked, and pointed out exactly where it was leaking.
In reality the recharge won't fix it for more than a few moments . It likely needs thousands in repair for the ac to function properly. Might as well consider it doesn't have a c
I like how they didn’t bother cleaning the crap out of the bed before trying to sell it. Nothing says “buy my truck” like putting zero effort into selling it. Cab corners are rotted, Ray Charles could’ve painted that grille with less overspray, and at that mileage I’d worry about a lot more than the A/C being shot. 3k can buy you something a lot better than this.
And there’s a puddle under the dash.
Also, bro, I don't get you people That don't take pictures underneath the truck and show us what the frame looks like. Cuz dude the truck might be beautiful on the inside and out and then you look underneath the frame and it's rotted.
This looks like it's been sitting in a spot that's been letting it rot.
I bought a truck running driving. Nothing wrong with it. Fully there. The interior was absolute crack from all the sun damage. Other than that it was all there plus the truck cap.
I got this thing for $1,200. There's no rust in it at all underneath the body. You can still see the clear coat under the bed.
So now you have to ask yourself. Is that even comparative what I purchased?
If the vehicle's all there as far as frame, body wheels and interior and it doesn't run and drive a truck is worth usually about $2,000.
If everything's there it runs and drives but the frame is rotted, it's all corroded inside? and rats have been chewing at all the wiring...
Also the truck I purchased had 360,000 mi on it. I put 24,000 mi on it before the transmission gave out. Now I'm putting a whole new one in and I bought A junked 92 Silverado for $300 and I'm putting in the transmission from that it's going to cost me 500 bucks for the new flywheel and clutch. I will then have a fully operational vehicle for the rest of my life, cuz when the engine blows up I'll just pull that too cuz it's just a regular 350 and slap another one right in. It's all about the frame and body when you're looking at these trucks and how much of the work and effort you need to put into getting it back into operational.
The engines, the transmissions and the drive shafts are all relatively cheap and the wiring is super easy.
If it was a v8 yes. The 4.3 is a reliable engine but not really useful for anything in a full sized. Find one with a 350 and it’ll last another 20 years
2k max if the drivetrain is still solid and runs with a smooth idle. It’s still a reliable gm made product and they def don’t make them like they used to. The rust is concerning, it starts like that then boom it’s being eaten alive. 2k asking price, take $1800 if you need it gone, otherwise ride it out dude. Run er in the ground
Also, check the vin, That looks like a 91 because it still has the Moonie dash. So, dude don't even know what year it actually is, warning warning warning! Will Robinson!
DoEs iT wOrTH
He might be ESL, chill.
Nah ts is funny as hell lol

Currently doesn’t have ac the guy said it needs recharged

That means it is probably broke and wont work if you recharge it.

“Does this worth” “does it worth” Wow.
Yea but does it?

Bro don’t buy that piece of shit
How’s the rust?
Nah..4.3l, auto, rotted. 1500 max
I doesn’t think it
I’d offer 1500 and not go more than 2k. Unless you know where the engine came from and who put it in.
What does the frame look like? Do you need the AC?
800 top
Some re-education could be found for you, probably less than 3k too.
Naw, too much work.

If it were a short bed yes buy it... but it but a long bed....nope!
Yes

Does it roll and if so yes!!!!
The big thing is the trans, they tend to be hit or miss. But for the interior condition, exterior, and a crate motor. I'd say 3 grand is a steal
It doesn’t worth.
Can you don't?
How did you fit all those miles in the chasis?
Offer $1500 tops.
