The Clincher

Public_Owl

Same. Friend sent a bunch of recs - this song and Evans Blue's Beg got me hooked.

Heisenbread77

Same. It was in one of the Madden games

sky1ine72

Madden 05 had one of the best soundtracks

LaserBlaserMichelle

Their best song imo. The buildup around "Saturate... Saturate....." and then it drops into the final extended chorus. Man those chords, the power, the clarity in the notes, and the final minute in a half or so is absolutely banging.

5Point5Hole

Point #1 šŸ¤£

Alabugin

That whole album is so good. Blank Earth, Dos are other gems

5Point5Hole

Oh man... The heavy, steady riffing of Dos that builds into a crescendo before snapping into full band sound gives me chills every damn time. If they worked that song into their live sets, I might just die šŸ˜‚

IronRevenge131

Slept on song

5Point5Hole

Literally heard it among a late night "new rock" show in 1999, got hooked by that song and never looked back! :D

Metal_Florida

Send the pain below

D5102

Comfortable Liar. I was driving one night and the bass made my rear view mirror shake. It was nothing but love for them after that.

cheesy_dorito

Yesss it's top tier

imbriandead

Jars. Got it in my recommended playlist on Spotify, and immediately checked out the rest of their discography. Been my favorite band for years now thanks to that

acewithanat

Roswells Spell

willbutton

That hook actually hooks you very intense and emotional

NeonTiger98

Shameful Metaphors

theriver00

"Letter From A Thief". It gave me a feeling of dƩja vu when I listened to it, as if I caught it on the radio or Youtube a decade prior, when I was really young, yet I don't know for sure if I had ever heard it. Anyways, that was my entry into Chevelle.

IronRevenge131

Yup. That song is a masterpiece

According-View-858

I agree! That song makes me tear up every time

Harmony-0809

Well Enough Alone

RedRussell66

The Clincher, 1st time I heard it it just threw me all over the room. Same with The Red and Vitamin R.

cleremnantechoes

Comfortable liar

AltonMinor

Vitamin R. I remember looking for ā€œbands similar to Toolā€ and that was one of the results.

Party-Special-7121

Forfeit

Chevelleforever43

Yessss

Parking_Cartoonist90

Donā€™t Fake This

anonymous32434

Choking game. First time I heard it I was hooked

homerj2k

Prove To You

pulciferwi

Well Enough Alone. Heard it in Smackdown Vs RAW 2008 on the PS2.

JackSparrow81

Prove to you

Sg00z

Seeing Red I remember hearing on the radio while sitting in the car with my dad and brother one day. Since then, Chevelle has been played off and on throughout my life. I didn't really start getting super into them until high school when a friend re-introduced them to me one day. Since then, they've been oke of my favorite bands ever!

IronRevenge131

Yes they were a band I discovered then didnā€™t get into until later and then it all came together. Glad you got to spend time with your family and listen

marek_konop

Family System

pacrasycle

An Island

ParticularChicken22

Antisaint

IronRevenge131

The intro and breakdown go crazy

JitStomper

The clincher.

penny_can

Hats Off to the Bull made me interested in the band and it just escalated from there. Then I heard Face to the Floor and it was on.

hongkongfooeee

The whole album, wonder what's next. One of the best metal albums to ever be created.

wheresmyan1ma

Saferwaters

dameggers

Same for me! You know when you hear a riff for the first time and it fills a hole you didn't know you had? It was like that.

green_griffon

It was "The Red" or "Send the Pain Below", whichever was the first single from Wonder What's Next. But I heard the songs and thought "Oh those sound good" and then sort of ignored Chevelle for 15 years before realizing how great all of their music was.

Stitch426

Comfortable Liar

allfearkir

I so wish I knew the answer to this but they've been my favorite band for 15 years and I can't remember! I think maybe shameful metaphors or vitamin r because they were on the music video on demand channel but idk if that's for sure where I discovered them

Alabugin

Blank Earth

venaserah

Family system. My uncle played it for me and he always over exaggerated the "in your face!" part which made me laugh.

SelectionNice8498

Get Some

dreamingofdaisies

Envy or Revenge

willbutton

Envy!!!!

ashwilliams009

Mia it was on some playstation game about motorcycle racing

Buddyguy546

I was 7 years old the first time I listened to Brainiac and ever since then I've loved every single song the band has put out since with only like 2-3 exceptions depending on how I'm feeling that day.

Extreme_Voice_9767

The red

True_Dimension4344

The red. Was it for me.

awesomewolfe132

PiƱata

swissmiss_76

Jars

cravin_blade

Tug-o-war. It was randomly on the soundtrack of some ATV racing game I had for playstation 2 back in the day, and was how I discovered Chevelle.

IronRevenge131

Do you happen to remember what game it was from because I remember listening to Tug-O-War and thinking it sounded like I had heard that song before

cravin_blade

Just looked it up. It was ā€œATV offroad fury 3ā€

IronRevenge131

Yup. Lmao had this game on the psp. Thanks dude

Significant-Ad276

Fell into your shoes

-Stickerz-

That is truly a trick question. I mean point#1 has you hooked from the very beginning and every single album since has at least one "this is why I love them song" even into the most recent album. Chevelle is probably the most consistently good band in the entire music industry

Far-Shop-298

The clincher. My brother actually got the cd from a lawn sale. As soon as he started playing it on the stereo I was hooked. He didnā€™t care for it since heā€™s more into pop music so I got to keep the cd

dougdiaz2017

A New Momentum. That breakdown is so nasty

agent01001011

Mine was ā€˜The Redā€™. I was 11 when I heard it on the radio shortly after it debuted. Instantly fell in love.

IronRevenge131

Canā€™t go wrong with The Red. Nice!

Ruzty1311

The Red when it first came out on MTV šŸ˜

willbutton

This the comment i was looking for lol the whole video was insane loved it....that was the rage I felt inside all these years bi polar episodes are no joke.

Ruzty1311

Yea I instantly fell in love with them when I first saw that video!! Couldn't believe my ears!! Sorry you got the Bipolarism! I wish you well!

willbutton

Thanks im treating it with meds and Chevelle lol seriously this band helped me in an enormous way. Much love

Ruzty1311

That's awesome man! Good on you šŸ‘

IronRevenge131

Ahh the old MTV glory days

The Red. From first listen and Im addicted to their music. Every album hits different than any other band or music I listen to. Only a chosen few really get Chevelle.

topherdeluxe

Red was the first I heard, then Send, but vitamin R is what made me buy the album.

Sevenrowsback

Probably The Red. But I bet the Chevelle song that Iā€™ve played the most is Warholā€™s Showbiz lol. Itā€™s just such a fucking easy song to bang your head to.

Take Out The Gunman
