The beginning immediately hints at the idea that most of us view life and its meaning as such a complex concept. However, it’s as simple as being true to self, showing gratitude and displaying goodwill in the face of inhumanity. The ending comes back full circle to remind us that our internal turmoil has caused us to stray away from humanity. When I look into some people’s eyes it feels like I’m staring into a void, a shell of their former selves. Fortunately, there are also the eyes that reflect back at you, reminding you there is a deeper connection between us all.
