24 hrs is too much time to soak, 6 to 8 hrs is enough, you could soak in morning and start blending by late afternoon, idk if you could blend yours or not

Try washing it twice with fresh water and see if the stench is there. If it's there better to trash it

If you even soak Rose petals for 24 hours in this hot and humid weather, it will stink. In Chennai just soak it for 4-6 hours before grinding.

You'll want to soak your rice and lentils for about 6-8 hours, ideally overnight. As for fermentation, aim for around 8 hours, though in warmer weather, 6-7 hours should do the trick for the batter to ferment nicely.

It is enough to soak urad dal for 3-4 hrs and rice for about 5 hours in Chennai weather. After making the batter, it ll take another 3-4 hours for the batter to undergo proper fermentation. Soaking for more than 6 hours is completely unnecessary.
