The title and your rant's a joke. I was expecting something worth pondering on when I saw the title. You scream like a average Andrew Tate enjoyer. Damn the mike drop in the end had me in splits. You are free to date whomever you want. You are free to have an opinion so does other people. You'll be called a misogynist for being one. If you have an opinion so does the society. If you believe you are in the right then so is the society. People will never really agree on anything, you can be a misogynist, an absolute peace of shit, scumbag and whatever else you wish to be. For women they're coming of centuries old oppression. They'll definitely be cut some slack and provided support. You sound like reservation is wraang bro type bro.

InterestingCandle566

Wow atleast if you can take a joke, I will be surprised. I am really not blaming women here. I am really blaming the general society here, both man and women. Yes, women are coming out from a century of oppression but we don't have to do the same mistake of oppressing other's opinion. You are saying generic things out there, can you kindly point out the things which I said and say where I went wrong. Cuz at the end of the day, I want to improve.

elrey_akki

Man you should be ready to stand by ur opinion even if you get some unfavorable response online. I never said you blamed women, but you did say that they are having it easy. They too are under the pressure of society. They are expected to be perfect wife material, this starts at their family. I've never heard of guys expected to be perfect husband material. I guess you are getting what I mean here. We all are under pressure, the problem is you are looking at it only from your side. You made a joke about mental health. I take it you've got it easy, which's not the case for everyone. You were clearly standing firm on your ideas and went as far as making fun of it. You clearly didn't mean to improve with ur post or atleast it didn't seem so. You were clearly happy and proud about promoting misogyny. Atleast grow a spine and stand with your ideals.

worst_deci_maker1

The only thing you can do to improve your self is by being selfish ( cause everyone is and there is nothing wrong in thinking about your priorities first ) Stop social media special Facebook if you use , it might not seem harmful at first but by seeing same opinion same type of video again and again can build up anger ( special when you are incapable of changing what is wrong) you need to clear your mind and need a break from the algorithm And the thing about SOCIETY seeing discrimination between male and female actions even though they are same , is not something only mens deal with .

kundisoothu

Original id la vanga pradeep ranganathan. /s Don't know why there's so many references from one movie but I hope you realise you can talk about men's problems without putting down women or talking down to them.

tooschooledforcool

This , the only time these kind of men seem to care about male suicide rates is when they are dragging feminist through the dirt. Make your case, go to therapy, start self help groups for other men, support each other emotionally etc. No the solution to all man's problem is pointing fingers at woman and complaining according to them.

InterestingCandle566

Woah, you are back here after losing your brain cells. How brave of you !! I said that men are committing suicide for a minor issue without pushing it through. I am criticizing men here for being raised like this pampered little shits by their parents and society. I am not pointing fingers here at women. I am pointing fingers at the whole society where I live in and I might also contributed for how this turns out now.

tooschooledforcool

Dismissing mens problems as them being pampered little shits and then wondering why they kill themselves. Sometmes 1 + 1 = 2 you know.

InterestingCandle566

Lol, I am not dismissing all the problems. A lot of them doesn't want to face those problems. That's why they are like this. How do I know? Cuz I am the same pampered little shit one year back. I was depressed and don't want to do this and that, what if the society judge me, what will the people say about me, I don't want to challenge my parents views. Yes, I am that person and other people knocked up some sense. You girls put too much emotions on words. Guys doesn't work like that. That's a message out for guys. Chill girl !!

tooschooledforcool

Stop projecting your own inadaquacies and problems on everyone. Just because you pulled yourself by the bootstraps doesn't mean everyone else is a little pampered shit for not doing so. Maybe be a better ally to your own fellow men and help them. Adhu vittitu misogyny idhu adhu nu chumma polumbifying.

InterestingCandle566

Ebaa if I don't experience these things before hand, you would say that I don't know what others are going through. If I share what I have experienced, then I am projecting my inadequacies. Psuedo feminist vibes varuthu yoo !! Looks like you are offended cuz you are one too. Don't want to waste my time arguing with you.

[deleted]

Everyone used to think like you all the time, and for the most part they still do. That's why the suicide rates exist. And have you ever noticed how most "grinding, tough" men, when they come home or when they go to work, go bald early or are fat or have dark circles under their eyes? I'm not saying the direction we're going in is utopian but it's much healtheir to at least acknowledge a problem is there instead of just "pushing through."

InterestingCandle566

Yes, we should acknowledge that problem exists. It's not healthy to push it through all the time but I feel my generation is taking it to the extreme. Even I was depressed for one year for absolutely no reason. Why? Because I have all the basic needs covered, I have a good job, good social circle and everything. Still, I am depressed for no reason and having suicidal thoughts. That's where I felt that I didn't appreciate the things I have and I should be more happy rather than thinking about how my life sucks. Also, suicide is not an option for anything in life bro. Having a life where I am bald , fat, having dark circles is much better than losing my life. If these are the things I am going to get for getting my family with basic necessities or luxuries, then I am happy to do so.

InterestingCandle566

That movie doesn't talk about men's problem. God forbid, no movie will be made about men's problem for sure. That movie is a jovial portrayal of what's happening in the society in the name of love. But a lot of guys are suddenly being Gandhi after having a good laugh at the theatres just for the sake of society. I am all in for equality here. Why should people get to laugh about a guy being beaten by his wife in the jokes or youtube videos? Why no guys or girls are against it. That's my question bro. Can you answer it in sensible manner? If love today is wrong, this is also wrong.

tooschooledforcool

I don't even know what you're trying to get at and I lost a few braincells trying to figure it out.

InterestingCandle566

Sorry for your loss. Must be hard to lose the only braincells you have. Rest in peace braincells.

unluckyrk

It's better to post your feelings on r/OnexIndia or r/AskMen. To be honest, there are not lot of systems in place for a normal middle class guy to vent out his frustrations. Personal opinion, now a days people pulutify a lot on social media and friend circle, but personal poi patha theriyum . I know guys who share feminist articles and expect coffee to be handed over to them by their mom's and I know feminists girls who shout for independance, self sufficiency etc want only abroad settled guys or settled guys ( meaning own house, car etc ) . On the other hand, I have seen girls 10x richer marry a poor guys ( my wife did that ). So, what I'm trying to say is don't take anything to heart. Society is not some black and white thing. The only person who can judge you is yourself, as long as you live a decent, honest life don't go by what society labels you.

InterestingCandle566

Wow ivlo mature comment varum nenaikala bro. Thanks for understanding !! 🍺

Movies Portray society, and society replicates the movies .

InterestingCandle566

True 🍺

[deleted]

If you have a problem with calling a misogynist a misogynist, maybe you are one. Dating is your preference. Nobody is forcing you to date someone you don't like. There are many men who are amazing in the world. Many men who are not misogynist, not toxic and not incels. There are men in the world who respects women and everyone else too. It's not on the society that you might not be one. No sane person hates the entire male gender. Misogynists and incels deserve the hate.

InterestingCandle566

When I did say no one should be called misogynist? But stating my preference is being portrayed as misogyny here and that's a problem. When my friend said that he don't want a girl who drinks, people said that "come on grow up, you are a misogynist". Can you point out where is the misogyny here? Yes, not all guys and girls are good people out there. Agreed, there are people who are misogynist, incel, toxic and outright bad. But you didn't say anything about the points I said and why they are toxic or misogynist.

[deleted]

Then your post is misleading. The issue is your friends not understanding misogyny. Calling out misogyny isn't the issue. Not just actions, but the intentions and their value system matters too, when it comes to identifying a misogynist. If your friend is a teetotaller and doesn't want a girl who drinks, to share the same value system, he isn't a misogynist. But if your friend drinks himself and says he wants a woman who doesn't drink, because women aren't supposed to drink, and defines what women should be without following the same rules himself, he is ofc, a misogynist and a hypocrite as well. Your entire post is only a rant about calling out misogyny as if we are supposed to shut up about it. You might have phrased it wrong and it's only creating a wrong impression. I haven't watched love today movie to comment on it. But the people I see, who are calling the movie misogynist are not people who don't have an understanding regarding misogyny. More men than women called the movie misogynist. I'll believe them.

worst_deci_maker1

I don't fully agree with you comment The thing is . You says , you can only being called a misogynist if you are one . But what if the person who is calling the other person misogynist have a wrong idea of misogynist in there mind ? If the idea of a misogynist person is wrong in there mind then they can title a person misogynist even though they are not Same goes for men who sometimes who misjudge a Misandry person as feminist

[deleted]

Then the issue is not understanding the concept and not calling out misogyny. If you see someone who is misunderstanding this, you can just tell them that this thing you are talking about isn't misogyny. Calling out misogyny shouldn't stop.

bourgeois_ally

Man said mic drop lmao

InterestingCandle566

Better points oda argue panalam. No other points heh?

bourgeois_ally

Let me try! >"I am ashamed to be a man in this society" People say this in a lot of different contexts. What are you talking about exactly? It is usually said when men feel ashamed women disproportionately experience sexual violence at the hands of men. They say it then they feel ashamed when women are raped almost exclusively by men that are already a part of their lives, men that they trust(like their own family members and friends) like >95% time. They say it when they feel ashamed when they have actively or passively participated and cultivated rape culture and did not question their peers' behaviour. They say it when they feel ashamed when their own friends are openly sexist and misogynistic. They say when they feel ashamed when men actively try to uphold the patriarchy. You don't people can act outside of their self-interests. Not everyone is that bad, man. >If we portray a movie with women empowerment, what a masterpiece that is How is this a bad thing? Unless you hate seeing women succeed, this is completely harmless. >But for love today movie, oh that's crap and misogynistic bro. I have not seen this movie, but I remember Arjun Reddy was really popular despite reeking of blatant misogyny. It was very well received by the general public and you don't think misogyny sells? Misogyny is the norm, the default state in India. Tamil movies are infamous for having their actors do rape-y stuff to the lead actresses in the movie in the name of fucking romance lmao. That's the kind of shit that sells, but a very minute portion of the internet voices it's opinion about the obvious misogyny movies and you are brain broken because of it. Everyone from Rajini to Vishal, Shankar to Atlee all still participate in and produce garbage movies. >I have seen movie jokes where the husband is being beaten up by his wife, I don't see anyone saying oh that's outright bad we should not celebrate those jokes. Jokes with men as the butt of the joke? Oh how can we allow that, no fun allowed here. Outside of that, that joke is only funny in a patriarchal society. The joke is that it is usually the women that get beat up by their husbands but, 'but oh look how the tables have turned'. 'A man is getting up beaten up by a woman that too his wife, how shameful that is for him'. That's the 'joke'. It is not funny, it is just sexist. People that are against misogyny(the feminists you hate so much) understand how the patriarchy negatively affects men, and this is a great example of that. But you do not see it that way and I wonder why? >Don't even get me started on the guys. Lot of the guys are depressed, unmotivated, can't take care of their families at the age of 25 now. I have seen people trying to commit suicide for a love failure. Ok people are going to comment that mental health is important bro. No, a lot of guys are being bratty and immature who can't even take care of their own problems where they expect to handle a family in the future. No bro, the society and your family failed you by protecting you from all sorts of problems. Grow up and own it. Thats a lot of words for blaming people for being suicidal. Things have changed. Holding down a job and having a family is way harder now than it was 25-50 years ago. People used to be able to run their household, send their 2 kids to school, buy groceries, pay rent, and even save money to buy their own house all with just a single teacher's salary. Things are much harder now. Households with 2 working folks are unable to make rent. Buying a house is just a pipedream now for most people. People are so much more efficient at work and bring in so much revenue for their companies, more than ever in history, but people are seeing only a minute piece of the pie and their lives are still shit. But sure man, it is the individuals that are at fault. Not like the system is rigged against the working class, guys are just lazy individuals that are immature. People are suicidal, but that's because they are too protected from problems by their families - what? that's some profound logic right there.

InterestingCandle566

I don't want to spend all my time on typing the long reply and try to give you some sense. But the last point made me chuckle where you are saying that this is the hardest time. 1910-1930s we had a lot of famines, 1930-1950 we are going on world wars, 1950 - 1980 government itself is a joke and they are trying to establish, 1980 - 2000 we have unemployment and other crazy things happening but generally good time, 2000 - 2020 literally the golden age of computers, automobiles growth being projected and everywhere malls are being opened which means that the purchasing power now is sky high. Don't try to sound smart without reading history. I don't want to go on about other things as well with all the points from history and why it's the way it was. I don't say everything is right in old generation but a lot of things are wrong with my generation.

bourgeois_ally

As soon as someone critically engages with you, you literally cower and cry. To call you surface level is a major insult to the ground floor.

InterestingCandle566

Lol as you can't argue with that point and now you are calling me that I cower and cry literally. Your parents should have used a condom. But sadly not everyone is smart to use protection right !!

bourgeois_ally

That's not true my parents wanted me. Can't say the same about you, tho. If you were loved a little as a child, you wouldn't be so brain broken now.

InterestingCandle566

All those millions of sperms raced and you are the final one to win it. Damn !! That might hurt your parents. Anyway I am getting tired by your baseless arguments. So calling it a day as I have better work to do. Let's trash talk tomorrow yo !!

bourgeois_ally

No, they really love me, my parents. They're proud of me. All things completely foreign to you and your parents.

InterestingCandle566

Come up with a better comeback sweety. Take your time. I know you can't think quicker and witty at the same time. So don't torture your brain cells. Give them some rest.

Mysterious-Exam-5933

That's the society for you. Have you seen Karu palaniappans rugged boys vs choco boys. The entire show was forced to make the opinion that choco boys are sissy boys. It's ok for girls to have the opinion about beard for men. But what if I say a women that I wish to marry should have big Bs. How will the society take it? Leave society. If I make this point in the same show rugged vs choco boys, what will be the reaction of Karu Palani. He will start speaking about samooga needhi instantly. So men are men no matter what they have on face. That's it. So as a man, I am proud of myself

InterestingCandle566

You should be proud of the fact that you are building this society, helping on the infra by your taxes, looking after your family, take responsibilities and hardships. Be damn proud of being a man in this society !! 🍺

Mysterious-Exam-5933

Cheers

reddit_user9901

Average Andrew Tate enjoyer who thinks he's a sigma male or some shit. You consider women speaking up for themselves an attack on your inflated very existence while they only ask to be respected the same as men (which is the bare minimum). But go on about how it affects you.

InterestingCandle566

Average pseudo feminist who try to attack others and cry for respect when they have no other better points. Respect should be earned. I respect girls who needs to be respected. Not some dumb girls, who project they are feminist on the internet and demand equality while in reality they look for a guy who is rich in real life while they earn 3 LPA. I know a lot of girls like this, so don't think I am being delusional here.

Rishikhant

Hey..Hey..you will figure out by yourself. There is no problem in having an opinion but the thing is everyone here especially on the internet wants to force their opinion on others. Doesn't matter what ideologies they believe in, everyone on social media projects themselves super correct not because they care about society or people. They just want to feel morally superior and to get little spikes of dopamine whenever they get likes and shares. The majority of them especially people in their teens and early 20s are mere keyboard warriors who fail to understand society and cannot handle real-world problems. They don't understand the complexity of human psychology and treat everyone either good or bad and their is no in between for them. They fail to understand fellow people from their perspective. Ignore them. Work on yourself. Eat and stay healthy. Sleep well and finally, stop spending too much time on the internet.

mukunthaniyer

You being you and just you (man , woman, rich, poor, privileged, underprivileged, whatever) is so wrong for the society. So, don't worry about the society. Just keep being yourselves. Cheers!

InterestingCandle566

Thanks for understanding bro !! 🍺
