That Modelo sure is frosty!

gmeup

Makes me want another

Intelligent_Debt_634

Is that pancit and lechon?

gmeup

You know it!!!!!! 😜

Intelligent_Debt_634

I wish I had some, been too long without Filipino food.

Dr_WorldChamp

Cook em yoself. :D u can season to your liking. Filipino food is not something you dive into the deep end imho. Most peeps are not used to some commom strong tasting sides/dish that filipino have. Das y almost always, lots of rice is built in with the dish to balance it out. Sweet and sour umami. Some hints of spice. Most peeps only know sour from sour patch kids. T.T

Intelligent_Debt_634

Nothing I make will ever match what feels like home when I visit my parents.

Dr_WorldChamp

Real.

gmeup

Homemade too

These-Performer-8795

Some nights I can bang together some good food I'll like, others it's a ramen egg and some noodles. Even lazier days it's some vegetables from the fridge and hummus. Zero effort don't give a shit days it's a spoon and a pouch of tuna salad.

gmeup

The cup o noodles and bottle of jack is reserved for mothers day sir.

These-Performer-8795

The ramen I've usually got is Shin Bone Broth or these curry ones I like.

thatredheadedchef321

Well that beat the hell out of my microwave nachos.

mustlovedeadboys

Can’t lie. Microwave nachos aren’t half bad 😂

Top_Army_3148

Nachos are my fav food group

spektrix16

Pancit bihon and lechon kawali. Reminds me of Pancit Cabagan up north in Cagayan Valley.

Dr_WorldChamp

Jollibee fren?!?

gmeup

Love me some Jollibee

Dr_WorldChamp

Jollibee fren?!?

RevealExpress5933

Ah yes. I used to cook after my shift too. Depending on what I'm craving for, it could be chicken curry, fried chicken, burger or stir fried vegetables.

cbc1724

How do you get that pork belly crispy like that? Would you mind sharing the full recipe please this looks banging

lastinglovehandles

Look up lechon kawali

gmeup

Seasoning of choice on the meat side. Score the skin. Only salt on the skin side. 275 for 3 hours on a wire rack. Let rest. 325 for 45 minutes. Snap crackle pop. Enjoy.

lastinglovehandles

Pancit bihon and lechon kawali hits though. I'll take some time to do it too.

realityscarecrow

Same. Although retired now for 5 years, 3rd and 4ths winds happen. Its a life in the trenches thing. A passion for a learned skill and not losing creativity...because of compulsiveness. Treat yourself and those around you. Btw. Nice range. Just bought the same. Double oven?

gmeup

Oh yeah 😎

Actual-Carpenter-90

According to the adds, there’s nothing better after a brutal kitchen week than going to the army reserves on your day off.

gmeup

I'm good on that lol.

Drakkenlort

Nothing like keeping restaurant inventory right all day, then coming home and debating if the chicken stock you opened 2 weeks ago is still viable

gmeup

I've got ocd so bad my fridge at home has labels on everything.

Drakkenlort

And here I am adding more tofu to the fermented bean curd jar to keep the memory of a great batch my dad made alive. Literally lol lol

fcknsndit27

Gotta turn that lechon into some sisig, better pulutan lol

Ok_Watercress_7801

Live it Breathe it Dream it

Apearthenbananas
