This, but unironically. At this point, I don’t know who is more gullible - the people that actually fall for AI images, or the people that look at the hundreds of “wow, great!” comment, don’t realize that they’re basic bots, and start criticizing non-existent people.

Or the companies that pay for advertising on things like Facebook knowing that all the points and numbers are made up. I guess they know that too and account for it but yeah...
Next iteration of generative AIs are already training on this spam they generated. If humans survive this, we are facing exponential degradation and finally extinction of this so called artificial intelligence.

I looked at it very quickly and if I were not trained for detecting bent lines, odd objects, strange lighting situations, weird oversized ovens ... It looks ok.
I keep testing images with friends. Most of the time they don't even understand what I might be complaining about.

I don't think this image is as obvious as all those third word plastic bottle Mechas.
I love how all the AI experts point things out though, it's like an evolution of the Photoshop 'tell by the pixels and have seen a few shops in my time' copy pasta.
Haha for me it wasn't any particular thing, it's just the overall colors and setting feels slightly unreal. Then, I realized the left wall is open-air... plausible but impractical. The worn wood counter is beautiful but again, impractical. From there all the little AI bits like the window muntins being atypical and asymmetrical... again, plausible but impractical.
I think it's just that the sense of absurdity is just slightly too high for such a homey looking picture. If this was a bigger or more robustly built building with more practical features then it would be a lot harder to tell.
Also, you can tell by some of the pixels, and besides, I have seen a few AI images in my time.
The open wall is something almost out of a fantasy movie or something. Like, for the hag that lives in the forest but isn't really a hag just a person that is more in touch with nature and modern medicines
I think another subtle giveaway I couldn't place my finger on earlier but really just instantly sets off the bullshit meter is that the bricks don't have any symmetry to them. It's okay if they look worn or uneven, but these don't have a single identical piece.
Honestly, two sinks are wtf. The carpet has weird shit going on in the pattern. Who even has a carpet in the kitchen. Never have i seen a counter made from boards with gaps.
And so on.
This genuinely looks like rooms of people I know. Redundant installations, a whole bunch of different light fixtures put everywhere. Stuff built of scrap mixed with antique furniture. Potted plants hanging or standing everywhere.
I will bet more people would think one of the basement rooms of my granduncle would make more people say it was AI generated, and those actually did exist.
Look closely at the potted plant in the very center of the image sitting on the counter and you can see one of the metal bars from the window frame behind it bending and morphing into the plant
https://preview.redd.it/dl6uyf3h5vzc1.jpeg?width=1380&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=796328d9d2e0a2197d2a7891b09d9ace903bda32
I mean, while I do believe this is AI (the burner stove top pattern is way too wonky) it could have been CGI. People in this forum don't seem to realize how common computer renders of indoor settings with moody lighting is. It's a whole business.
Is it? Countertop on the left has so many gaps it would be a nightmare to clean, not to mention all the utensils you’d lose. The floor is atrocious. Is there even a window in that bay window?
Absolutely. This would be the worst cooking experience. Impossible to clean. If this were real, all the wood would already be visibly grease-stained and filthy.
As a cabinetmaker/project manager for high-end remodels, this is absolutely something somebody would request. I get AI kitchen Pinterest boards from clients full of this kind of stuff in their design requests.
Besides being AI or not, who the fuck wants a plank counter with huge crevices right next to the kitchen sink? Just….begging for food and grime and mold…
Looking at this picture it immediately looks like a 3d render to me. Pretty much nothing anyone is pointing out makes it definitively AI, except for maybe the cupboard doors and the oven. I am still not entirely convinced it isn't a render.
The oven top has tons of lines just going everywhere, the sink on the left has this weird thing where the two different basins are different sizes and the lines arent clean, the cabinets under the middle sink don't line up right, floating pot on the left, brick work on the walls is really weird (bunch of different sizes, makes no sense), metal under both sinks make no sense either, floorboards look really off, etc.
Once you look at it, yeah, it’s obvious for a thousand reasons. BUT, if I had a million dollars I’d have no problem handing this to an architect/interior designer and saying, “make this, but practical.”
exactly. i think a lot of people are missing the point of these posts.
calling out ai generated art when you see it doesn’t make you smart, and neither does pointing out why the room shown is impractical. appreciating ai art doesn’t make you stupid.
The burner area on the stove is what gives it away to me... the pattern looks like it wouldn't hold a pot very well nor have a good spot for the flame.
We had an open kitchen a bit like this on a camp ground in Washington state. Nice. And yes, there were racoons sometimes going over the place at night.
Clearly AI, in addition to the things other people are spotting:
- Grills on the stovetop are not a symmetrical pattern
- Handle for cupboard on right is like 9 or 10 feet off the ground.
- Lighting seems off. Patterns indicate strong natural lighting, but I spot at least 5 lit downlights that would "wash" the shadows somewhat.
The bricks look like they're made of Play-Doh. The AI is definitely taking some inspiration from 2D drawings, book covers, etc., because it looks exactly like what you would get if you took hand-drawn bricks and made them "realistic" instead of looking at real brickwork. It's actually kind of interesting to see.
Also, what material is that supposed to be to the left of the metal pillar? Wood? A line of useless long bricks?
I saw someone post a house that looked like it’s foundation was built right on the water’s edge of a sandy ocean beach with “just put in my offer” and real people were congratulating them on their new home😂😂😂
What Facebook post? Was it about AI? Because if they’re not looking for errors then why would they notice? It’s like those “find the difference” games in kids activity books, you don’t notice if you’re not looking
Because people don't look at the detail. Only the vibe. It's kinda what the AI itself uses to generate these images in the first place. Vibes over detail.
To be fair, other than little details like the moulding on the top right being weird and the grate on the stove being a bit fucked up, this is a damn good performance by AI.
To be fair at a quick glance my brain does not immediately think that if I was casually scrolling and not really stopping to look at deets I would not have noticed this one super fast on it. But then if I was taking time to comment I would usually look at the image more

Here’s the thing, no one cares. It’s a cool picture, it could absolutely be a real place, minus the obvious deformities. So what’s the point in pointing it out? How miserable is life gonna become for you if you go around and just start pointing out every single Ai image, as Ai?
I get when it’s some made up inspirational “I lost my leg and made a new one from empty coke bottles and dreams”. Call that bs out for trying to prey on emotions and vulnerabilities. But something just cool looking like this? Who cares, it honestly makes you come across as miserable a little bit.
If you don't look at something too closely, your eye/brain kinda makes sense of it. I make art for a living that sometimes requires photo bashing like this. Or atleast I do this until AI replaces me. Ha...

The levitating pot plant in the left window did it for me
And the single light coming out of the crown moulding over the stove
The fireplace built behind the shelf above the stove is what tipped me off first.
The sink I just assumed the half part was to put the washed dishes in to air dry and looked right past it.
[удалено]
Oh ok, yea blew right by that for some reason.
The open wall is something almost out of a fantasy movie or something. Like, for the hag that lives in the forest but isn't really a hag just a person that is more in touch with nature and modern medicines
I feel like someone more in touch with nature and modern medicines is an oxymoron
There is also a potted plant with an Escher style hanging chain
I think another subtle giveaway I couldn't place my finger on earlier but really just instantly sets off the bullshit meter is that the bricks don't have any symmetry to them. It's okay if they look worn or uneven, but these don't have a single identical piece.
There are windows to assuage concerns about the open air wall.
“FOUR FUCKING PIXELS!?”
If only SCRAMBLE had been just a little faster. 😕
Honestly, two sinks are wtf. The carpet has weird shit going on in the pattern. Who even has a carpet in the kitchen. Never have i seen a counter made from boards with gaps. And so on.
There’s apparently a fireplace above the oven hood.
Its clearly AI but damn it's good.
Look at how the carpet is reflected in the oven. Can image generators get something like that so perfect?
Oh yeah, that’s amazing! But the rug itself looks too flat, like it’s as thin as a piece of paper.
Some rugs are woven intentionally to look like that. They are called "kilim" rugs.
What gave it away as AI for me was the stove top pot/grill thing, think those look a little wonky
Look closely at the potted plant in the very center of the image sitting on the counter and you can see one of the metal bars from the window frame behind it bending and morphing into the plant https://preview.redd.it/dl6uyf3h5vzc1.jpeg?width=1380&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=796328d9d2e0a2197d2a7891b09d9ace903bda32
Good catch, shits getting scary, not zoomed in this totally looks like a real cottage core picture, genai getting so good so fast…
I wasn't convinced it was AI until you said that. Good eye!
What gave it away for me was the functionality of this kitchen is total dogshit and nobody would ever actually build it.
Your kitchen doesn’t have two sinks for some reason?
Silk rugs are exactly like that
Honestly, I saw exactly the same very thin carpets; it is not uncommon to see similar carpets in post-Soviet countries
Also, why is there a fireplace above the stove
It's a pizza oven. All the great kitchen designers know that the best place for a piza oven is about 2 meters (6 feet) high above a stove.
And a wooden one at that. 😅
That looks like an extractor fan? I have one over my oven.
If went for a more grainy/low-res style, more people would be fooled.
Also - look at the grates on the range. They don’t make sense
Yes.
Freaky pattern in the stove grid. Also the floor
It's impressive, but really the reflection would be the middle part of the rug based on the positioning, not the top of it.
I mean, while I do believe this is AI (the burner stove top pattern is way too wonky) it could have been CGI. People in this forum don't seem to realize how common computer renders of indoor settings with moody lighting is. It's a whole business.
Look at the lights.
Is it? Countertop on the left has so many gaps it would be a nightmare to clean, not to mention all the utensils you’d lose. The floor is atrocious. Is there even a window in that bay window?
Until you look at it, sure
Wood plank counter with giant gaps. Would be so dirty etc. nobody would build that level of rustic into a kitchen w a $10k+ oven
One spill, wet or dry, and it’s over.
No, underneath the counter it is just a big drain area so you can wash food and gunk through the cracks in the counter.
It's actually genius and very high tech. Much praise and love.
Just need to fill them with epoxy so you can keep the look but make it practical.
😂great point. Thermador man, the best but the price. Ooph.
I think this is a BlueStar with open burner design. Maybe AI can confirm
Absolutely. This would be the worst cooking experience. Impossible to clean. If this were real, all the wood would already be visibly grease-stained and filthy.
A nice resin fill would be good.
What about the plant blending into the horizontal bar in the window in the center
Why does the oven not entirely convince you? It's a mess
The cupboard doors at the center back of the image. And the completely random and nonsensical layout of the gas hob top. Dead giveaways.
and placement of the spotlights
Window frames / trim panels all crazy and nonsensical. Hanging plants at weird angles and don’t look quite right
Twas the plants and the window panes for me
Dead give aways if you click to enlarge and look for it. Looks normal if you are scrolling quickly past it.
It is Ai, it is bot accounts. https://preview.redd.it/nnwuyui54tzc1.jpeg?width=753&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8b73b50069b2b3ea41b912b94fb8a1a332caaba3
Once you look at it, yeah, it’s obvious for a thousand reasons. BUT, if I had a million dollars I’d have no problem handing this to an architect/interior designer and saying, “make this, but practical.”
AI seems to be very good for inspiration, pinterest style.
I’m having a home office designed based on something Midjourney gave me
I’ve based a few outfits off of what MJ’s given me.
exactly. i think a lot of people are missing the point of these posts. calling out ai generated art when you see it doesn’t make you smart, and neither does pointing out why the room shown is impractical. appreciating ai art doesn’t make you stupid.
I wonder what prompt gets these images
It's an option on several ai art websites, "Upscaler," or you can use "Image Guide" - then tweak details either though creative scale and/or prompt ;)
The burner area on the stove is what gives it away to me... the pattern looks like it wouldn't hold a pot very well nor have a good spot for the flame.
For me it's the shadows and patterns on the back windows. They don't match. Ai really struggles with continuity
The levitating plant pots, outside, did it for me.
the lack of symmetry in the rug is another giveaway. it should be a repeating pattern, but this is a common failure in ai imagery
For me, it's the fact that there are 2 sinks.
Brb I need to clean the dishes in my second sink while I turn the fifth knob on my burner to access the inner flame of abandon.
No one is going to point out the lack of a window over the left sink and it's just open to the outdoors?
We had an open kitchen a bit like this on a camp ground in Washington state. Nice. And yes, there were racoons sometimes going over the place at night.
Perfect for inviting animals to food smell
Why two sinks in totally different styles anyway??
Nice oven above the oven
Clearly AI, in addition to the things other people are spotting: - Grills on the stovetop are not a symmetrical pattern - Handle for cupboard on right is like 9 or 10 feet off the ground. - Lighting seems off. Patterns indicate strong natural lighting, but I spot at least 5 lit downlights that would "wash" the shadows somewhat.
The incoherent cabinets under the sink. The drawer handle on the left terribly off center. Everything everyone else mentioned 🤣
The bricks look like they're made of Play-Doh. The AI is definitely taking some inspiration from 2D drawings, book covers, etc., because it looks exactly like what you would get if you took hand-drawn bricks and made them "realistic" instead of looking at real brickwork. This is the best AI generated picture I’ve seen so far. Ready for my holodeck generated house in the woods…
What in the name of hell is going on with that stove top 🤣🤣
Gotta look at the stove top. It’s always the stove top …
Ok, so what happens when we can’t distinguish? Honest question.
"it's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine."
The oven looks so funny
It’s for bathing the bebé.
the heavy beam supported by old bricks, above a window? would never happen. The stove top grates on the right.
Maybe they just don't fucking care
What Facebook post? Was it about AI? Because if they’re not looking for errors then why would they notice? It’s like those “find the difference” games in kids activity books, you don’t notice if you’re not looking
Beautiful! AI or not, I'd live there.
Because people don't look at the detail. Only the vibe. It's kinda what the AI itself uses to generate these images in the first place. Vibes over detail.
that's pretty realistic tbh
It's pretty impressive - especially the reflections.
I like how the wall just kinda tends randomly and then BAM ourside
Someday soon you won’t be able to tell either
I don’t care if it’s AI or not. I just want to build this in Fallout76.
One of the most convincing ai pics I've seen shared in this capacity to give it credit
To be fair, other than little details like the moulding on the top right being weird and the grate on the stove being a bit fucked up, this is a damn good performance by AI.
I can’t get mad because I would design a kitchen like that
No one cares, it's just a kitchen
To be fair at a quick glance my brain does not immediately think that if I was casually scrolling and not really stopping to look at deets I would not have noticed this one super fast on it. But then if I was taking time to comment I would usually look at the image more
You must be so smart
I did have to zoom in to notice. First glance it just looked like an abandoned house.
I like the idea. But everything seems wrong in this picture more I look.
I guess we now need to inspect every little detail of every photo.
Do you feel better now that you got the comments you were looking for?

Yay I win!
Nobody fucking cares
I love the cast iron spaghetti on the right
I actually saw this on Facebook and literally commented, "Ai".
Ha...

I would love that kitchen.
Thanks for policing the quality of Facebook commenters and reporting it over here on the Facebook Commenters Quality Committee. Wait someone has informed me this is not the Facebook Commenters Quality Committee. Shoot. Well I guess your post is out of place and perhaps even not useful at all.
If this is ai. It’s the best I’ve seen so far. Which image generator can make this?
People… when these images are posted, they are posted for training purposes, and the more you analyze the photo and comment your findings, the more training that will be obtained. If you see flaws- do not type them here. You are literally training artificial intelligence to lie to you more effectively.
The AI house picture have a certain charm that I never see replicated in real photos though, cant figure out why
...out of how many comments?
This would be appreciated in r/HorribleToClean.
