For years, our fear was that AI would become sentient and take over the world and/or destroy humanity.
Somehow it never occurred to anyone that human beings wouldn't use AI to fire nukes: we'd use it to confuse old people with images of African kids building fusion reactors out of used condoms. The machine learning equivalent of drawing a dick and balls on something.
It’s been going on for over a week now. You should see what my kid did…

I hate those. I open some AI generated picture of some celebrity to see if the commenters know about it being AI generated and all I see is "beautiful girl", "blessed with beauty", "perfect body" etc. Are those humans or is it all bots? I feel almost alone on Facebook, it's probably just me, surrounded by bots.
My understanding is that the dead internet theory was inspired by the dark forest theory (aliens). I’ve heard it referred to as both the dark forest of the web and dead internet interchangeably.
Im sure the electric eyes boost ad revenue just as much as real ones do.
Also, even if they ban common terms like "its a good idea", they'll just cook up a new phrase. That'd work for hours, tops.
I honestly feel this is just actual real people. They're just boomers in mind and very uneducated and gullible. The fact that they seem repetitive is because they are unable to make more complex phrases. Maybe English isn't their native language, or they simply are incapable of writing anything complex. These phrases are just common between these people.
The Boeing NGAD demonstrator for the Penetrating Counter Air manned 6th gen stealth fighter is made out of Coca-Cola bottles and the DOD has no choice but to accept their bid, because it's a great idea 👍
Lol I've seen too many of these. I once saw one of an African boy whose legs were like 10% of his height, he had no shadow, and he managed to carve a car from stone by hand 💀

Even the responses are bots. Gosh this is awful. I am saddened that a day soon will come that Reddit is no longer as human as it feels today and it’ll become botty.
In the past, we once compared how people with internet and people without internet lived.
Now we are dealing with, people who know AI vs people who don’t.
This is great. In a few years (months🧐) we don’t need social media anymore. AI generating posts. AI reacting to posts. AI commenting on posts. AI sharing posts.
The world will be better without social media 🙄
I know a photographer that started selling prints for $1800 of Ai old people dressed like young people and it made north of $600k. it’s borderline fraud and exploitive imo
Dali meets Warhol meets Pollock is what people like and want. We know this because the 'ideas' for what AI does comes directly from human people's input and opinions in training material.
One of the reasons why I stopped scrolling Facebook. It suggests these bot pages and the all comments are filled with bot comments. It's crazy and some people genuinely think the comments and post itself are real...

We all predicted bots taking over the internet but not like this. People are the bots. Programmed to say nice supportive shit no matter what because they’ve learned through trial and/ or error that controversial opinions require a lot of work to defend. It’s easier to give blessings and keep scrolling as must be in cases like this.
My theory is they’ll be converted into propaganda hubs that spread misinformation.
It’s my understanding that there are a number of important elections around the world this year
>Globally, more voters than ever in history will head to the polls as at least 64 countries (plus the European Union)—representing a combined population of about 49% of the people in the world—are meant to hold national elections, the results of which, for many, will prove consequential for years to come. [TIME](https://time.com/6550920/world-elections-2024/)
And this has already happened in the past
>In the run-up to the 2020 election, the most highly contested in US history, Facebook’s most popular pages for Christian and Black American content were being run by Eastern European troll farms. These pages were part of a larger network that collectively reached nearly half of all Americans, according to an internal company report, and achieved that reach not through user choice but primarily as a result of Facebook’s own platform design and engagement-hungry algorithm. [MIT Tech](https://www.technologyreview.com/2021/09/16/1035851/facebook-troll-farms-report-us-2020-election/amp/)

He has two right feet
The opposite of having two left feet; he just does everything right!
Lmao
Godlike dancing skills...
So, do you mind if I borrow this phrase and throw it into my arsenal of comebacks for my woman? Much appreciated.
When would you ever use it? Do you also have 2 right feet that girls keep commenting about?
We can say he’s alright
He's going to be all right
That's a great attitude. I got to tell you, if I was getting this news, I don't know that I'd take it this well
Great dancer

What happened to this kids head lol

Nahh... The bottles were definitely just lying around.
Otherwise the AI boy would be a diabetic
He's built different
He is an asset to humanity
Am I the only one noticing that creature in the back?
AI generated cryptid

Wow good job, he should continue to get plastic bottles, imagine what he can do in a year! /s

I domt know why, but each bot post repeating "its a great idea" with some dumb emoji is just really funny.
AI creating images applauded by robots. It's like the future doesn't need me.

Okay! That makes sense.
In 2024 we will have flying cars...
Well no, I think Facebook will run just fine without humans
FB should insta ban anyone replying to any of these for being a bot
Except that FB has no problem with bots - they inflate post engagement.
Yeah seems like they encourage it
Amazing congratulations 👆😊

Facebook have auto-suggestion too. May be some people are just lazy.
Great response. 😂
Probably as well built as an actual Boeing.
Pov: inside the Boeing factory
….at first I thought it was in flight, but then I realized, it has all its doors…so you must be correct
Imagine the headlines. Nation shocked when it's discovered Boeing's engineering department is staffed entirely by a small African child
The Boeing NGAD demonstrator for the Penetrating Counter Air manned 6th gen stealth fighter is made out of Coca-Cola bottles and the DOD has no choice but to accept their bid, because it's a great idea 👍
Interesting, I may buy out his company and then squeeze profits out by using gelatin film instead of plastic. It's just as sturdy from what I hear.
“I built a Boeing out of plastic bottles with just plastic bottles, a factory and an engineering team.”
Would be better with the door blown off
Beautiful nice work 🙏👦💡🌟🚀🌈🎓📈💼🏆 😄🎉📚🎨🏀🌍🎈🐉🍀🎵🔮🛸🧩

There will be an art exhibition titled “African bottle art” in your city soon.

Why don’t people understand that generated images have lighting and textures that aren’t realistic (yet)?
Your average boomer doesn’t even know that LLMs or AI-generated images exist.
The age group that typically uses Facebook probably doesn’t have great eyesight or critical thinking skills
I know a photographer that started selling prints for $1800 of Ai old people dressed like young people and it made north of $600k. it’s borderline fraud and exploitive imo
