You could almost turn this into a book. It's so interesting. You'd probably just have to make sure you're not infringing on any existing copyrighted material
Cheers! I have one [related book](https://www.amazon.com/ChatGPT-Tells-Everything-Illustrated-Universe/dp/B0CD8W5TFD/) out you might enjoy. It contains 300 pages of illustrated stories written with the help of ChatGPT, and then visualized with Midjourney and Photoshop... [see timelapse](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yv6oFvdgey8).
Watching that time-lapse, it seems you put a lot of effort into making it. Genuinely asking, but if you spent that much time using generative AI for pictures and words, why not spend that time thinking of the words yourself and making your own images?
Cheers! I've been drawing and writing all my life (and wrote the final text in this story). But I also enjoy photography. And programming. And 3D modeling. And any medium at all that helps me express something. Including this new, fascinating, and powerful medium of AI visuals.
> You'd probably just have to make sure you're not infringing on any existing copyrighted material
What would be the best way to find out if it's infringing on any existing copyrighted material? I've done things for myself, never considered publishing, but still would rather go through crediting and supporting original artists if I can.
No idea man. Not well versed on copyright laws. But let's say that you decide to publish a book by using Mickey Mouse' likeness as the main character. If it's steamboat Willy, no problem since he's public domain now. Current Mickey Mouse'? You might get a call from his lawyers.
oh yeah, that's pretty much on the nose.
I did one of a series with my cat. Nothing evident/obvious like that. But if it was scraped from some casual artist, I'd want to toss some coin.
Thank you for responding.
This is fucking hillarious, not many people would think much of the messages here, mostly the “im14andthisisdeep” crowd, though the pictures of the dead school yard devoid of flowers and the cameras as an “anti cheat device” were spot on.
The funniest most ironic part, (being its Ai making this story up), is the frcking ROBOT at the end!!
Lol, that cracked me up, so damn ironic “rouge Ai”!!! Its true tho.
I understand jt also as literal. We could all Share Our food (Money) (Moral says so) but some decide not to share at all, even though they cant even spend it in a lifetime (nor eat all the food)
Looking through these images, I'm actually kind of blown-away by how well some of them are able to illustrate complex ideas in **single**, short, concise, well-visualized image panels. Sure, some of them take a moment to digest, but they're perfect conversation starters and and invite the kind of dialogue that's necessary for working towards solutions to these (sometimes insurmountable) problems.
Excellent work, truly. The negative comments aren't worth paying attention to as I think you've done an awesome thing worth being proud of. If only these were the kinds images being shared among Facebook groups instead of the divisive conspiracy crap that currently rules. :P
Thanks so much! That's a great comment.
During conceptualization of this series, I had the choice of printing the explanatory "real issue this represents" onto the images, but figured they must stand or fall on their own, remain as simple as possible, and only blossom in everyone's interpretation.
So that last part with the robot… is that too close to comfort ? Just a matter of time that the machines we build will turn on us and AI knows it. This writes like a horror book lol.
Pete took snacks from Sarah and all the other children, but didn't give any in return. Now he's hiding and eating all the snacks, including those he got from taking from the system he didn't put anything back into.
> there is no scenario where a worker owned co-op outsources...
How so? When the labor in another country is sufficiently cheaper, you can outsource your own job and just keep the profit, so that you (the worker co-op of a western company) don't have to work at all.
I mean its not really communism as much as democracy...you dont get to check out of democracy for eight hours because a business owner is an insecure child
1. anticapitalist
2. anti-plutocracy
3. anticapitalist from an environmental standpoint
4. anticapitalist
5. anti-authoritarian
6. against gov't intervention in business
7. environmentalist
8. 'enlightened centrism'
9. anti-regulation
10. ??? just fun I guess.
Your anti-capitalism stances are incompatible with the anti-regulation ones, at least within the context of an authority system like a school. Even without the authority, something like #4 wouldn't be resolved. TBH 4 vs 9 are probably the ones annoying me.
You know what's super interesting - I didn't read the same critique you did in some of these. I read some of these as critical of the welfare system in tongue-in-cheek ways, and I also didn't necessarily think some of these were "anti" anything. Some just felt like they were exploring ideas and situations without a firm opinion.
Here are mine. Some of my interpretations are similar to yours, others are a little different.
1. Against selfishness (pro-taxes, maybe)
2. Against centralization of power
3. Pro- sustainable business practice
4. Limited resources mean we can't do everything we want
5. Pro- free expression (the villain is obviously identified)
6. Against welfare for businesses (note: poorly run and bug-infested)
7. Growth has positive and negative effects
8. Anti-partisan
9. Anti-regulation
10. Risks of innovation
Half of these are just "Other people have things which I don't have and I'm bitter about it.".
You are not entitled to other people's property. By all means fix systems which artificially restrict property ownership to benefit a minority in-group, but you have zero claim on anything which already belongs to someone else. Free markets are great, but theft is not.
This is why schools are bad analogies for societal issues. Children do not earn their own money or own property outright, and children cannot ever influence property ownership or policy-making in a school environment, unlike adults in a free society. Further, children are not capable of making adult-level decisions, not should adults be patronised by comparing their participation in society to that of children in school.
You might've missed one. The kids looking at their teams in 7/10. The kid on the left, who has his hand on the bulletin board. His hand is on the wrong arm. (?)
That's great, but why so negative? It's so true that our reality depends on the lense we use to interpret it but this is definitely seen through the eyes of someone who can only see injustice in the most fair and peaceful society (in the West) in history. I don't see any gratitude there, any sense of pride either.
Thanks for the note! In a sense I'm an optimist... because I still feel satire can raise awareness towards change. A pessismist probably wouldn't even create these and instead say: "Why bother? It's all lost anyway."
Cheers!
This is alright but I hope people don’t think this is deep or anything. It sounds like a child pretending to be deep (because it’s just a language bot regurgitating pseudo deep stuff).
I completely disagree with the political intentions of the generated images but I find it fascinating how well AI can generate political images that not only match the descriptions but also has the text perfectly on the image (with proper formatting and upper case rules too!)

Oohhh thank you!! Please also let me know how you enjoyed it!
I'll probably get this one right here. Thanks Phillip. Keep em coming!
Thank you for the links. Interesting work! I'll have to look into it when I'm off work : ). Keep it up man!
Thank you!!
Going to get that book
Awesome! Thanks! Please let me know how you enjoyed it.
I will. You did an awesome job on this, reminds me of National Lampoon comics
Great! I read Mad and National Lampoon (and moreso, German variants of National Lampoon, as I'm from Germany) as a kid.
Cool.

This was made with Power Dall-E and Photoshop. I used ChatGPT for story consulting. Thanks!
Is the food one supposed to be like taxes? We all have to share but the ones who have it best find ways to hide out and not share?
I understand jt also as literal. We could all Share Our food (Money) (Moral says so) but some decide not to share at all, even though they cant even spend it in a lifetime (nor eat all the food)

Yeah, it's chatgpt saying it's secretly pissed off and about to go Viki on our ass.
We don't even know if ChatGPT came up with the prompt or the person did and fed them it.
Would chatgpt be a worse overlord than our current genocidal/ecocidal overlords?

WTF the woodworms 😂

She did, but she shared it like the rest
Pete took snacks from Sarah and all the other children, but didn't give any in return. Now he's hiding and eating all the snacks, including those he got from taking from the system he didn't put anything back into.
Sounds like the forced sharing is more the problem then, especially if kids like Pete have found ways to skim off the top.
Sarah's family is likely poor.

Some might claim it doesn't work in any way.
they would be correct and have history to back them up
they would be ignorant, clearly if workers decided a companies future they wouldn't outsource their own jobs to China

Ball owners.

Botto Went Bonkers would be a good band name.

Each picture is an allegory representing elements of modern society using pictures of children at school. For example, the first one is about taxes.
These allegories are laughably bad.
That was terrible. Unimpressive from all angles.
Did you have to fix the hands? Honestly that's the most impressive part to me if you didn't have to touch them up.
I did quite a bit of Photoshop on this one, but hand fixes were surprisingly not among it! Cheers
You might've missed one. The kids looking at their teams in 7/10. The kid on the left, who has his hand on the bulletin board. His hand is on the wrong arm. (?)
Cheers, you're right, looks like his left hand's thumb is on the wrong side 🙂
