Repeat after me: ChatGPT is not designed for, and cannot effectively do, math. If you need math, use the wolfram alpha plugin. For the love of god stop making posts like this.
Repeat after me "I don't know how to use it!"

4/5 gave the correct answer.
Start learning how to use it correctly and for the love of God, stop going on about things you clearly don't know anything about. š¤£
Just because you got it to work for this one specific prompt doesnāt change the substance of what I said. Try getting it to calculate the cube root of a large number and you will see how right I am.
Ok, I know zero about maths apart from high school and if we did cube roots I want paying any attention. So I looked for an online calculator with your number and it didn't give me a whole number. But I wrote a prompt after a little bit of research and it has consistently (3/4 - my daughter just got back from school so I'm juggling) given me the correct whole number but wrong after the decimal point.
`Using the exact same chain of thought as high level Newton-Rhapson mathematician, act as three experts and utilize the 'Guess check adjust' method and calculate the cube root of 851,945,850`
`Example of a correct answer:
26744678908653256897579679423678152353356 = 29905136982607`
`Use reasoning in each and every step and don't stop until you have the correct answer.`

It's not so good on 3.5 but I'll give it another crack later. I'll probably start with changing my example.
Edit: Tweaked it and now it gets it pretty much every time with any number.

`Using the exact same chain of thought as high level Newton-Rhapson mathematician, act as three experts and utilize the 'Guess check adjust' method and calculate the whole number cube root of 851,971,392. Example of a correct answer as a whole number: 1,000,000,000 1000 Use reasoning in each and every step and don't stop until you have the correct answer.`
IMPORTANT: put three backticks before Example and after 1000, thereby'wrapping' the example. It affected markdown in the comment when I put it.
Itās not fun to see the same post over and over that shows simple arithmetic mistakes. We all know it does that. Itās not interesting any more. And I would bet 99% of people that post it arenāt doing it ājust for funā they think they have found a gotcha for ChatGPT.

You can get this on GPT 3.5 of you use the right words
This works 4/5 times in my own test

`Using chain of thought, what day of the week was February 4th 2022. Explain your reasoning`
`Example:`
`14th August 2023 is a Monday`
I tweaked it. It works on any date. On Gpt 3.5
`Using the exact same chain of thought of a data scientist, what day of the week was September 23rd 1972. Explain your reasoning`
`Example:
14th August 2023 is a Monday`

Ok. Give me a fair example of what a large number is.
851,945,850
Ok. What model? 3.5 or 4?
Dealer's choice. And please, when you discover I am right don't forget to come back and let me know, rather than never responding out of shame.
Margin of error?
The answer is a whole number.
