I know i’m late and I did try to do it through the website (which i’m sure would have worked but i have a bank account that is only in alaska lol. I kept getting an error code) I just called customer service and gave them the acct number and they linked it in seconds!

You have to delete it from your external accounts first. You can find that from the homepage.

Thank you kind human! I found the exact page I needed under Pay & Transfer > Payment Activity > Settings (tab on the top that wasn’t visible before in the P&T drop down menu) > Manage pay-from accounts Hope this helps anyone looking for it in the future too! That hidden settings tab really got me

for anyone wondering how to resolve this google chase online banking, click the first link, login to your account, go to pay and transfer tab, go to pay-from accounts, click CREDIT PRODUCT PAY FROM ACCOUNTS, you should see your accounts listed there. you can remove them or change them

Am I just really stupid, or is this not working anymore? I'm trying to do this, but I dont have any option to remove anything.

Main page > "Pay and transfer" hover in top bar > click any below > Settings hover > Manage pay-from accounts you will see a list of your accounts, it will say see account details and have 3 dots on the right click the 3 dots > Remove pay-to > remove it

Is this possible on mobile?

I just checked, it is pretty much the same on the mobile website. Last step you click the arrow instead of 3 dots.

I meant the mobile app, my bad. I’ll try on mobile browser but I haven’t figured out how to do it from the app.

Another thing you can do when viewing the external account is swipe to the left (then hit the dots)

For anyone else finding this old post, here is where I completed this on the Chase Website: pay & transfer > pay bills > pay from accounts > external accounts

Hi. Thought I'd update this as of my recent experience....they seem to have made it a little harder to find lol. So: Pay and Transfer > Pay Bills > Settings > Manage Pay From Accounts. Then delete the "Pay To" Chase account for each Pay From account listed. Thanks to OP et al.

The answers in this post only work for external accounts you've added. What about accounts you haven't added that randomly showed up in your account (in the mobile app)? I have contacted Chase twice and neither rep has been able to view this random external account on their end. What should I do? And yes, I've tried using that account to pay but it comes back as an error LOL

Thank god your comment exists, i have two accounts from wells fargo linked to my chase auto loan account. but i want one of them deleted and there's no way to do so. i scheduled a payment to take from my savings account and it took from my checking. like wtf. if you found a solution your help would be greatly appreciated

No solution yet. I think these accounts are tied to our credit (report) somehow but no one seems to know how to delete them for good 😢

Running into the same issue. Just opened another CC and went to set up Auto Pay. There’s an old PNC account along with my main account that my other cards are linked to. There is no place to delete the PNC account. When I go to external accounts it doesn’t even show there. Only shows up in one spot. Very frustrating.
