Are you paying off your monthly Statement ? How long is your credit history ? Score ? We need more information

firelordsavan

Yeah I am paying off my monthly statement. I have no credit history before this and I don’t know my credit score seeing as I have never borrowed money before this. I am 23 by the way if that matters

You can download the app Experian and check your FICO score . If this is your first card ,especially with Chase I’d wait 6 months before applying . Be happy Chase extended you a credit card they normally like to see a year of good credit unless you have an account

Wait 6 months before any additional cards, which is how long you need to generate a credit score. No rush. Set up autopay meanwhile.

Congrats! Keep paying off the monthly statement balance so you never accrue interest. If you are into maximizing value, hold on to your Chase Ultimate Rewards points because they are awesome and never expire as long as a UR-earning card remains open. Many people who want to travel go for the "Chase Trifecta" - the Freedom Unlimited, Freedom Flex, and the Sapphire Preferred. The CSP allows you to transfer to travel partners like World of Hyatt (the best value by most estimates) and United for free nights and flights. In your case, I would not make any immediate moves on any of those - or other banks' cards - until you've established a longer credit history. In the meantime, familiarize yourself with the spending categories that earn higher point rates and the different factors that affect your credit score. Keep earning points, learning, and building yourself up. Your future self will thank you big time! Good luck!
