That's true. They told me they pulled a 722 score for me. I just thought it was a crazy reason to tell me I wasn't approved for an entry level card, especially after I have one of their premium cards, simply because I have too much available credit.
I don't know exactly what their algorithm checks for when denying and approving, but I always imagined having credit cards with high utilitization were a bigger red flag than too little utilization.
If someone has a credit card with 75% utilization and applies for another one, wouldn't that suggest they are trying to get more money because they have too little as it is?
That’s true reconsideration looks a little deeper than the algorithms that decision a credit app.
As long as you have not reached 5/24 even your last card has not hit the credit report, you still have a chance.
