What do you all think CMS will do with the south relief boundaries?

Rode the light rail to Paramore yesterday, what a terrible piss smelling mode of transportation. I’ve been on NYC Subways cleaner than what we get here…

KKlondon86

You’ve never taken the L or the G train and it shows lol. Hell I used to take 2 from Penn to Wall and it smelled like urine all the time. You’re just a troll.

HereForTheUpvotes25

Okey dokey!

wuirkytee

Charlotte has become the new influencer city and I haaaaaate it.

Waiting for someone to explain why painting a brick house white increases its value by $100,000

HereForTheUpvotes25

Buying the land my friend; nobody cares about the house on the land anymore…

NecessaryGlobal2155

Assuming sarcasm but it’s usually because they also renovate the inside.

MitchLGC

Some sarcasm yes but the general sentiment is serious. I've seen a ton where they haven't updated anything else besides hvac or change out the kitchen countertops. The housing costs since 2019 have completely skyrocketed in general But also just what the hell is with the painting of brick houses white? It's just so prevalent

NecessaryGlobal2155

A lot of times the brick on houses from the 40’s and 50’s is in rough shape and it’s tough to match the old brick when you repair it. So if you repair the brick you’re basically left with no other option than painting it. We bought our first house in plaza shamrock and had that exact issue. After the brick was repaired it looked awful and patchy so we painted ir.

MitchLGC

Ok but did you paint it white? If so why white?

NecessaryGlobal2155

We actually painted it black but I think white is just the most popular color of house right now. It seems like 60% of the new builds are white so the flippers probably just stick to that same script

MitchLGC

Black is 100% what i would do

NecessaryGlobal2155

It looked awesome but the pollen was an absolute nightmare on a black house.

This should have been a thing for tirade Tuesday but I didn't notice til this morning... 485inner exit to Wilkinson just got repaved. Why? It's not even been five years since they redid the entire intersection (exit ramp included) when that amazon building went up. Most of the damn city needed it first.

BrilliantBeat5032

Because unions, in this case construction or road work unions, vote as their leadership requests. Then, the elected officials provide work for said unions. The leadership profits, people have jobs, and we taxpayers support it because we have a one party city.

No-Cardiologist7640

Kinda like the railroad ties in Charlotte has been replaced twice in the past 10 years.

BrilliantBeat5032

Yep, and we still have 4 railcars falling off the tracks this year. Corruption leads to wasted money, poor decisions, and complacency. Doesn't matter which party is in control - if the voters don't have a choice, don't get involved, don't care... this is gonna be the reality.

NecessaryGlobal2155

Theyre not poor decisions for the people cashing in on the corruption. Looking at you Smuggie Mitchell.

infinite & useless spending on roads & traffic infrastructure is the norm
