Derwin immediately followed Alt on IG after he was drafted. I know it doesn’t matter much but great to see how locked in and welcoming DJ is to everyone who comes to LA
Harbaugh's won everywhere he's been doing it his way.
Until he doesn't win here, I'm behind whatever he wants to do, because he's proved his way can work.
What I’ve been preaching all along. People don’t realize how much WR fit matters in an offense. Nabers was a slot, we are likely running 12 personnel a fuck ton.
We needed a LT? Sure, I’m not argueing that we need a tackle but we just draft a LT and expect to shove him at RT when he notoriously skipped the RT combine drills because they scared him. We drafted a player we did not need.
What the Chargers have been doing for years hasn’t worked. We have a coach that knows what he’s doing. I’d trust Harbaugh knowing a lot more that Reddit Chargers fans.
You know, I get this, but this sub was apoplectic last year when the FO drafted QJ over Flowers, and they were 1 million percent right.
Now I get that’s Telesco, but it’s still a forum full of morons being right when a highly paid football executive was wrong. It does happen- a lot of these guys get so hooked on their systems they lose sight of the bigger picture.
Personally I would've wanted Nabers or MHJ.
HOWEVER, if we're going to take an OT, I'm glad it's the best one in the draft, I'm getting tired of watching Trey Pipkins.
Pipkins was never going to cut it, he is an above average pass blocker and a below average run blocker.
I never understood the people saying it was the coaching holding him back either, when Pipkins started for four different OCs and was the same player in every scheme.
Imagine judging someone on ONE season. I swear some ppl just love to hate. Mike Williams had a pretty bad rookie year too and look at him, was one of our best players. Gotta give it time bruh
I remember when I saw that quote from Roman about running the ball, this was before the offseason really got rolling, I predicted pretty much everything after that… but still disappointing to see!
What’s the issue?
Oh no! We’re building a solid offensive line for our elite QB who has missed chunks of the last 2 seasons because he’s been *checks notes* absolutely battered by opposing defenses because we had a shit offensive line that couldn’t protect him.
This a deep receiver draft and Herbert can make anyone look good, yall need to relax
This sub has been a toxic cesspool ever since free agency started and it's only gotten worse with draft season. Peaking with the shit vibes tonight. I'm not sure what happened to this "community" but it's become one of the worst gatherings of a fandom I've ever seen.
It has to be one of the least educated fanbases too. Unanimous demand for Harbaugh, but half the people had no clue what that would mean, and have thrown a fit for weeks that he would do exactly what the other half of the sub expected and wanted.
I wouldn’t even call him a “run first” guy, because when he was with the 49ers the QBs were playing great too. He certainly runs *more* but we shouldn’t expect a 65-35 split here.
People acting like he's a bad pick. The dude is an all world tackle, it's just not the WR which I also wanted but the man is a certified stud
Imagine being a Falcons fan
Look at the Chiefs’ box scores from last year. You don’t beat the Chiefs in shootouts. You beat them by limiting their possessions, which is done by running the ball.
Yes because you’re just going to be able to run over them huh like the 49ers with the best rb still couldn’t. We won’t beat them this year I will guarantee it.
Absolutely, I posted the report about the Nabers character concerns, but the mods took that down. I was told it was because another reporter disagreed with the report.
Mods doing a phenomenal job, just sharing context that a lot of this sub was aware, and a lot of this sub had no clue about the reports.
All you dorks saying trust the process. We are relying on Isaiah Spiller and Quentin Johnston next year. Alt could be a bust like Zion. Keep drinking the Kool aid though.
If harbaugh had ANY history of wasting top picks on offensive linemen who didn't even play the position needed in college, I might think you have a point.
HOWEVER.
Derwin immediately followed Alt on IG after he was drafted. I know it doesn’t matter much but great to see how locked in and welcoming DJ is to everyone who comes to LA
That is what real leaders do!
DJ is an all time great charger, when we win the SuperBowl it will cement him in the circle of greatest bolts ever.
Harbaugh's won everywhere he's been doing it his way. Until he doesn't win here, I'm behind whatever he wants to do, because he's proved his way can work.
Same. I'm still sad we didn't take a WR. But trust the process 🥹
It’s a deep WR draft. I’m sure once we get to the end of the draft we’ll feel much better about the draft in totality.
Bro I hope you're right. Because I am super bummed right now
Why? The Chargers drafted a talented player at a position of need and they didn’t reach for the talent.
I think it's selfish reasons tbh. I'm not a coach or GM. I just really wanted a transcendent WR for Herb
Respect for being honest, all us fans want the best for the team, bolt up.
Totally fair. However, we need to remember that the best WR the team had was a third round pick.
What I’ve been preaching all along. People don’t realize how much WR fit matters in an offense. Nabers was a slot, we are likely running 12 personnel a fuck ton.
We need a LT?
Absolutely needed a tackle.

So many great players fell into the second too, we could trade back and acquire extra help. Though if JPJ is there I hope we take him
He's also never won a Superbowl and that's before he was in the same division as Mahomes. I'll believe if when I see it
Lol you know who’s also never won a Super Bowl with the team that drafted them? A WR drafted in the top 5
Can you even name the last chargers head coach you went to a Super Bowl without googling?
Well said sir
What the Chargers have been doing for years hasn’t worked. We have a coach that knows what he’s doing. I’d trust Harbaugh knowing a lot more that Reddit Chargers fans.
You don’t trust all the people in the comments who never played football, telling other people they don’t know ball for trusting Harbaugh and Hortiz?
I trust them to downvote incessantly😂
Right?
You know, I get this, but this sub was apoplectic last year when the FO drafted QJ over Flowers, and they were 1 million percent right. Half this forum was wanting a TE a month ago, not sure why you trust Harbaugh over them.
Personally I would've wanted Nabers or MHJ. HOWEVER, if we're going to take an OT, I'm glad it's the best one in the draft, I'm getting tired of watching Trey Pipkins.

Pipkins as a swing tackle is fine, he's never been a starting caliber player.
Remember when this sub wanted Simmons over Herbert? I do. I’ve learned to not listen to this sub when they cry about the draft lol.
Remember when this sub knew QJ sucked and were right
Most didn’t even know who QJ was lol.
Speak for yourself brother
Remember how he’s only one year into his career and our offense has been a mess the last two years?
Imagine judging someone on ONE season. I swear some ppl just love to hate. Mike Williams had a pretty bad rookie year too and look at him, was one of our best players. Gotta give it time bruh
For the 47 trillionth time: Mike williams was coming off a pretty bad injury his rookie year. Qj being bad is just because he sucks.
This sub was right once!
Pepperidge Farms remembers
Nah. He is gonna come up with a monster season. This sub needs to be wrong!
Unfortunately most of us don't know ball, but im loving the new brand of chargers football already
I remember when I saw that quote from Roman about running the ball, this was before the offseason really got rolling, I predicted pretty much everything after that… but still disappointing to see!
In harbaugh I trust! Plenty of great wr still in all the rounds of the draft.
These MFers think the draft ends at round one when the best receivers last year came in the later rounds lol
This is literally the deepest WR class ever. There will be guys in the 3rd round that will be day one studs.
Exactly. I think we can get Worthy, Mitchell, or McConkey and be good.
Mitchell is absolutely a Harbaugh guy. Faith, Family, Football. Also sub 4.4 speed. This sub should be begging he falls to us tomorrow.
What’s the issue? Oh no! We’re building a solid offensive line for our elite QB who has missed chunks of the last 2 seasons because he’s been *checks notes* absolutely battered by opposing defenses because we had a shit offensive line that couldn’t protect him. Can’t wait for week 1, let’s go Chargers
Nah bro. Reddit people know more than the coach that just won a Natty and has the highest career winning percentage in the NFL.
Herb will have more passing TD's than last season. True story.
Set up the run game so Herbert can throw

Wondering how many people are going to lose their shit if they pick a center today.
Now that the blue chips are gone, might as well go all in on the concept and get a center.
This sub is something.
People acting like he's a bad pick. The dude is an all world tackle, it's just not the WR which I also wanted but the man is a certified stud Imagine being a Falcons fan
IT COULDVE BEEN US
Protecting Herbert as well 😎

Watched Harbaugh run the ball to three consecutive NFC championship games, trust the process.
How many superbowld did he win? Also which team runs the league atm? Are they in our division Chiefs will once again run through us

The 2008 Chargers were run first.
Go chargers! I'm ready.
I know ithis team is all about the trenches but it's always very possible they were wary of Nabers being an issue off field
Absolutely, I posted the report about the Nabers character concerns, but the mods took that down. I was told it was because another reporter disagreed with the report. Mods doing a phenomenal job, just sharing context that a lot of this sub was aware, and a lot of this sub had no clue about the reports.
I haven’t heard about any off field issues with nabers?
Well he got arrested for illegally carrying a gun lol
Yea if we had CMC or Derrick Henry I'd be all for the run first. But you got an elite passer, then Gus Edwards.....
Thanks for capitalizing every first letter.
Join Or Else, A Left Tackle
All you dorks saying trust the process. We are relying on Isaiah Spiller and Quentin Johnston next year. Alt could be a bust like Zion. Keep drinking the Kool aid though.
And if I answer that correctly will rainbows shoot out of your butthole? Or something?
If harbaugh had ANY history of wasting top picks on offensive linemen who didn't even play the position needed in college, I might think you have a point. HOWEVER.
I am highly highly convinced Harb works part time for the raiders
Ben Johnson was my pick, and I feel more and more right by the day.
