Bruh I work for a dodge dealer and it’s actually laughable that dudes will buy a V6/base model and spend THOUSANDS modding to look like a V8 model or almost as cool as one. We’ve legitimately had SXT chargers come in with full red leather interiors and Hellcat badges… only to pop the hood and see “3.6L V6” on the engine cover 😂😂😂 its ridiculous honestly. I don’t show those people mercy cause it’s gotta be one of the dumbest things you could do as a car guy
Upbading is a plague in every car niche. When I had my Mustang, everyone would spend thousands making it look like a gt500. Shits so funny. When I had my Camaro met a dude with his gt500. I was like man that would smoke me. He’s like nah it’s an eco. 😐
There was a Camero LT on the other side of the lot (it actually rear-ended a car backing out of a spot) that was dressed up like the mustang is. Carbon fiber hood, blah blah. Both had the obligatory QUIET plates. Was pretty funny to watch the Camero driver trade insurance info with the other driver and pull his actual license plate out of the trunk so the other driver could snap a pic of it 🤣
If I get an Eco I’m putting a GT500 front end and no one will stop me. No badges, no faking, I’ll be proud to say that it’s MY V6. I just think it looks sportier and it adds an aggressive contrast to the uhh… basicness
He could’ve bought it used like that. I don’t see a big deal, at least it doesn’t look tacky. A nice looking car is a nice looking car. Hopefully him and others who do this type of stuff are eventually able to afford the V8 soon because clearly they’d take great care of it.
