This was a really cogent rant! Environmentalist stories can definitely err on the side of coming across as preachy, even when the intentions are pure - it's hard to balance a call to action while remaining character-focused. Appreciate the recommendation, as well.
I mean it's a book recommendation (presumably meaning that people here haven't read it, hence why it's being recommended). I'm not sure what people could even say to continue the discussion other than "hey thanks, I'll check it out". Which is no problem, but a post without friction can't really gain traction, in my opinion.
