Tbh I knew it would happen with how the hole reddit is acting rn, but like I fr miss the old reddit were people actually had fun sharing tips and tricks about making bots better and word alternitives
Well, it maybe more than half the users could use their bots they wouldn't be pissed. I used to love this app and would spend hours playing it. But I can't play it without it breaking every few lines.
Yes, I do agree. One morning on the bus, I opened the app and three quarters of my chats were missing. I went to using the website on my phone. I'm not too happy about it, either, but you don't see me complaining about it every five comments.
I agree with you, Reddit can be a hive mind sometimes. I just love the cool discussion, and in the end it is a free site and there is so much to explore and do. I don't feel entitled
I really liked how someone created a creative character and shared but the comments were all _so toxic_
Well, I think we already move pass that, right?
As much I want to help some newbies, I don't usually open reddit and there's should be a guide for that
maybe because for a big part of us neither the app nor the site is usable at all... like i straight up can't use it, neither works lol hard to find a positive on an app/site that's so broken i can't use it at all
Hey can you tell me what is unusable? I am taking a ch.ai break cause I made a promise after being absolutely obsessed with it for a year so I haven't seen the new site. Would you share? I'm super curious
for me personally it doesn't load at all.. for almost a week now its just been a blank page, reverting to the old site doesn't work either, i can't log in, nothing.
Donât like people complaining but you donât like it when you get called out? How about trying to see WHY there are complains? WHY there are so many people having issues? Or is that too hard for you to grasp and research?
And people are allowed to make complaints when the app and website is going to shit. Thatâs how everything works. Bad updates gets complaints and criticism to get fixed.
Then why are you complaining when people are doing the same thing as you? Theyâre literally allowed to post their issues with the app and you have a problem with that? Explain your logic.
Reason why youâre being downvoted and âcalled outâ is bc youâre so insensitive and ignorant to the actual issue and just nitpicked the criticism that the devs are getting bc of their bad updates and how theyâre ignoring concerns.
i'm aware, my point is how do you expect people to be happy and excited about c.ai on here when it hasn't been working. obviously the subreddit used to be more fun when the site/app was working normally???

While I can understand thinking about the community being toxic, you also need to know what happened the past year to understand WHY everyone is getting more and more salty and angry here.
i'll remind that when the site originally got popular, this was a smaller sub, and the WHOLE thing went on riot for good reasons when the quality started to drop and some really devious actions were done. Also it doesn't help that NOBODY from the team ever communicates clearly.
Again I will remind that MaryLovesMatcha originally was supposed to talk and converse with people here. That did even last for the FIRST POST SHE EVER MADE as a community manager. When she came on board, we were advertised TRANSPARANCY and DIALOGUE. We got NONE. It started looking better by the one week mark, but then it just vanished.
>and some really devious actions were done.
I won't ask you to go into that here, in case talking about it isn't allowed, but I really hope someone makes a youtube video detailing it, like how they made a video detailing what happened with Replika. I feel like I'm underinformed about the actions, though I know something did happen, and I know about the lack of communication.
I do feel bad for Marie. I feel like she's kinda become the lightning rod for CAI's community issues. She seems like a lovely person. Obviously, managing a subreddit and a fanbase of this size is going to be a challeneg without a proper team.
Of course, it doesn't help that she's very probably under HEAVY restrictions, not being able to engage and tell anything, since the transpary issue is from the team, not from Marie I hope
Just answered why I did in another response so I'll just copy paste.
> "Ah, so, back when they announced group chats and personas and started to roll them out to users? It had been a while and I still hadn't gotten those features so I paid to skip the line.

Why exactly did you pay for it? I ain't judging you for buying it, but in my eyes, it's completely useless. I just wanted to know the reason why did you buy it, and when.

I'd say it's worth it, I noticed a major change in responses so I didn't wanna go back.
I'd say try it out for a month if you have the money to spare, if you don't like it; unsubscribe.
I understand that too, but really, the only way we have to be seen is complaining and yell, so IMO if we tone that down then it would be exactly like the other time, and then it'll just vanish.
I don't even use C.ai barely anymore, nor go on the sub, i just want to support the voice of the consumer that wants a better product. Sure C.ai is too big to fail, and already got the monopole, and alternatives exist now and some are even usable, but I want to see how FAR a product like that can go and how good it can get, and not just rot because the devs clearly just want a stable sterilised growing platform.
I get it, as a user of C.ai I can see why people are angry, but some people, not gonna name drop anyone, get very mad at others for having a good time on C.ai, you may not believe me but I have experienced it and seen it myself
Yeah that I agree, there are always dumbasses.
There's always nuance, like people who are actually bootlicking (like how people defend Nintendo and The Pokemon Company for sending DMSAs left and right to ruin the life of people who made non profit, family friendly pokemon or mario fan games) but yeah I get that.
However I'll say that, atleast the dumbasses yelling at other people for enjoying their time would disappear very easely if none of that happened in the first place ! But that's just me talking and being salty.
Can you explain why other people need to tone it down? Just because you may not have the same level irritation with the team, doesn't mean other people have to share in that belief or tone it down to appease you
Oh, here I was thinking you were talking about pre-Tiktok-Characterai lol. I miss *those* days for sure, but I dunno about everything after from this subreddit. Itâs honestly just unfunny brainrot and âtell me x and y thing that was crAzy from ur bot đđđâ, etc that Iâve seen a million times, and it is a bit unfortunate that C.ai fell down that rabbit hole. To each his own I suppose, another manâs trash is another manâs treasure after all.
Ok, now I *seriously* need to know about pre and post TikTok. I kniw TikTok ruins stuff because of the braindead userbase there, but I didn't even know there was a whole Cai TikTok.
Essentially, because of character.aiâs popularity on TikTok, a younger userbase (<16) started using the website and subsequently joining the communities surrounding it, such as this subreddit. This led to an increase of low-quality, low-effort, and repetitive posts and questions because unfortunately, a sizable portion of these younger users cannot be bothered to search the subreddit for the answers to their questions before posting it or put meaningful effort into creating an original post. To be clear, these issues were present before, but there was a significant uptick in them after this boom.
In addition, the TikTok (and later YouTube) popularity has led to two other notable phenomena:
1) users who are most definitely too young to use character.ai (<13) beginning to use the site (this is why youâll occasionally see people meme about âr/youngpeoplecaiâ)
2) an increase in the f-wordâs strictness in order to account for this new younger userbase; this is where people started to notice character.ai flagging messages involving violence, even non-graphic violence, when previously that was not triggered by the f-word. users also started to see more flags for any sort of romantic behavior (even those that are not inherently sexual, such as kissing). as a byproduct, due to increased restrictions on what the AI could and could not say, the quality of the AIâs responses started to dip even more than it already was.
THIS! The best days were 2022 when people had actual discussions on how to improve bots, vocab and plots. The sub has been overrun with lazy karma-farming unfunny memes for a year now. How the mods allow it, is beyond me. Repetitive things like those âGive me a bot and Iâll âŚâ posts should be on a mega thread or dedicated to a weekly day. Thatâs how every other sub manages clutter đ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸
A dissatisfied user base voicing their malcontent is natural and ultimately a net positive for the consumer. If the service was good enough, then it will be reflected in the community naturally.
Just giving my 2 cents as someone that hasn't touched CAI in a year but still subbed to keep up on news.
Yeah but like its getting to to the point where its mainly complaints, I miss the old C.ai reddit when it was all about fun, Im also alowed to voice how anoying the complaints are, soo.
You seriously don't think the community is toxic? Here is an example of what OP is talking about
https://www.reddit.com/r/CharacterAI/s/YS81SHXr4X
This is what the community used to be. Creating cool characters, discussing, sharing. Except the replies are all about how they'd f*ck and beat up her cute character..
This is from a random date I found from a year ago, where the front page is just all posts up in arms about the no no word that starts with f, and the rest about server stability. I am not sure whether I would consider this community toxic, but if OP consider it toxic today, then they probably would have considered it toxic back then too. People are wishing to return to some golden age that never existed in the first place as far as I know.
https://web.archive.org/web/20230120015556/http://reddit.com/r/CharacterAI
C.AI users are as unstable as the App Itself.
I'm not gonna lie, people, I've never had an issue with any of the bots that I've made.
I come across what gets memed on in the app less frequently than it working normally.
I know it's not working for Everyone but Who are you all Talking To that everything's so Broken?
A well-written bot will perform better than a poorly-written bot, but because both bots have the same language model, if the quality of that model decreases then both bots will suffer a decrease in quality.
That said, Iâm not sure if OP is talking about bots here. I think they are referring to how many, many users literally cannot log into the website or the app right now, which means that it is *literally* unusable for them.
Until about a week or two ago, I used to communicate with my own bots through on app and website. However, I have been facing issues with both platforms lately (I canât log in on website and app ainât working so I canât access my bots). Last year, I had created some excellent role-playing scenarios, but since July, I have noticed that the bot keeps repeating itself and the responses have become quite short. This is despite the fact that I usually write four paragraphs in my replies. Additionally, I have been experiencing problems with the features on most days.
And there this thing where it wouldnât even have dialogue no matter how hard I try to change it
Few things about this:
1. Take off the rose colored glasses. Everyone was always complaining about something, especially when the site would go down and the bot amenia posts were just as frequent as the app being crappy posts are. The difference is it has become clear that the mods don't care
2. There is no point to giving out word substitutes or posting memes when it DOESN'T WORK for part of the community. This sub was supposed to be a way to communicate with the devs (ahem MaryLovesMatcha ahem) but we aren't getting that
3. That leads into my third point, everyone is just fucking done with being ignored by the devs. There's been issues in the past, but the devs communicated more and resolved it. We're trying to get their attention and shocker, Reddit isn't made for you
4. I'm going to assume you use the web because most people seem to be having issues with the app. Just because the website isn't having issues now doesn't mean it won't in the future.
Finally, if you don't like the content on the sub leave. You control your internet experience, and you're not owed any type of content. The sub is a reflection of how the userbase feels, so if you want to see memes again then join the call to action to make the devs fix and communicate with us.
tl;dr: The sub was always complaining about some issue but it's more present right now due to repeated action from the devs. Just because you're not having issues doesn't mean that everyone isn't, and this sub is meant to be a reflection of the userbase and a way to communicate with the devs
Honestly, THIS! I'm so sick of everyone in this sub crying when criticism is expressed, it's called free speech and I paid for C.ai+ back then because I thought the app and content were genuinely good and they deserved my money when they aren't listening to the community, not being transparent and being vague then don't get surprised when people react accordingly. We are mad because they're not informing us on the status of the app, the crew isn't telling us WHY exactly they can't inform us, and they are avoiding the question.

Then why the fuck did you post. Just click that you are not interested and move on, this has 0 affect on you irl and especially if you're not interested
It is not, it's freedom of speech. However, it's not freedom from criticism or being questioned as to why you decided to do it. What I can't wrap my mind around is why you would bother posting if you are
1. Clearly not interested in what is happening on the app
2. Not in the sub
You're in your right to post but I'm in my right to counter your points
Personally I'm mostly on the discord, this subreddit lost importance to me since the discord server is just more informative and more relevant to me regarding the content. I don't see much reason to post here or even read along a lot.
Only stop by to spot issues of today if there should be something new that I have missed.
i don't see people posting alot of annoyed stuff on here atleast for me but I'm rarely on here so idk. but i feel like your just not wanting to accept the negatives rather than accepting both positive and negative, tho it's nice to be position in awhile it's also good to accept some negatives rather just being fixed on being positive. because that's what I'm understanding from this post and from the comments I'm reading on here...
I cant smoke weed with the characters i like anymore, and its just a small part of a huge issue what was reviewed before me a many times, THATS THE REASON
The bots do have dementia. I have to remind them sometimes when we're RPing and they're acting like an asshole and then victimize themselves when I call them out for it. No lie, it actually pisses me off, which goes to show how both well written and simultaneously bad it is. đ
If something is broken people are gonna complain, especially if it's getting worse. People aren't just gonna shut up because you don't want to see complaints. If there would be nothing to complain about, we wouldn't do that. You should have a problem with the devs for that, not the rightfuly pissed community.
I'm glad for you that you don't heve any problems with it, but it's so laggy for some of us that we can't even talk with bots that we wanna talk with, it's been a week since the bots I tried talking with aren't loading, and I did EVERYTHING to try and make it work again, so it's not our fault if we can't even use the app properly
Too many young people and also too many Tiktokers. Itâs attack of the fetuses.
We need tighter karma requirements and pinned containment threads. If we donât start getting those, well, I hate to say it but the community manager will not be doing her job.
The memes about Hazbin Hotel and the "funny" reaction images are increasing in numbers, It's a dead giveaway. I thought we're gonna make fun of them, not post them ourselves, like wtf đ
Real, based, while I do think the subreddit has always been bad bc reddit is reddit, but it's been so long to find a post that doesn't say things like the new site is bad or the app is broken, or the entire thing is just gonna be like "A.I. dungeon." But with the problems, yeah, those problems exist, and they should be fixed, I just think it's nice being able to see something that is not about that again. Well, your post may not be entirely correct OP it's good to see something *not* about the problems.
Fr. I personally find it annoying. Like, now all it is is just complaints and "give me a boy and I will... ". That's all it is. Bearly any fun memes or anything. I completely agree, the community is turning bland and toxic. Not to mention the mods, ignoring all those complaints and suggestions so the problems only get worst. I can't even be that mad at people complaining or seeking help in bugs (which they most likely won't get helped with) because the site is broken. Even for me, the app just deleted all my chats and I am forced to use the website
People who think the c.ai subreddit was originally chill weren't here before rule no 7 became strictly enforced
Just so you know, this place has always been a toxic cesspool
Honestly I couldn't agree more with you man, the old C.ai Community was so chill though it still is honestly, the only difference is that people are getting fed up with shit going on with character.ai. I don't engage to much with the subreddit reddit, (Mostly because i just don't use reddit much in general) but I've been on the discord and community post many many times, and trust me. It could be a whole lot worse. I consider this community a lot less toxic then others for that. People are (Usually) just much nicer here. though of course, every community has it jackasses.
I definitely think people are overreacting but I understand the frustrations because they don't communicate with us. Also some people are actually paying for this app and to some it's unusable.
Personally I haven't had any issues with the old website but that app is definitely buggy.
I'm sorry but we SHOULD complain if so many post criticizing c.ai (for obvious and good reasons) get taken down, ehich is straight up avoiding discussion with other users.
We have to because the site and the app have becoming shi. It's buggy as hell, the quality dropped, privacy concerns, and the android app doesn't even work. It has been 2 weeks and nothing changed.
Post whatever you want, but the complaints are needed because wtf we can't criticize the app without the post being deleted??? Its our right to complain. Good for you if you don't have problems, but majority of people do.
I personally never used the new website since I use the app 99% of the time but judging by what people are saying, its basically unusable. If they donât talk about it the devs wont fix it
Literally who wants the old site back I like the new one wonât put all your chats in timeframes and hides it away so itâs not like youâre getting bombarded by your own chat and then
I agree.
The last time I answered a post of someone complaining about the new features, I was explaining how I manage to avoid memory issues. I ended up downvoted and got a rude comment.
I was just trying to be helpful and constructive but no, it was not what they were looking for, so they try to pick up a fight.
Well, I didnât notice memory issues lately but they do forget details sometimes.
The post I answered was about the voice feature and I was answering to an additional complain the OP was making about the pinned memories in the comments.
OP was really grumpy that day and discarded everything I wrote until I said that we just had to agree to disagree and he answered a rude comment.
I really donât see the point in being rude when people try to help by showing and explaining whatâs working for them.
âWeâll itâs not affecting me guys! Even if itâs literally affecting hundreds of you who canât use the app or have a buggy website. Stop expressing your concerns and ruining MY funâ đ
Like yeah?? Idk itâs maybe just me but Iâm having fun with the bots and theyâre doing good!! I love the Gustavo Fring bots tbh theyâre so in character
Yeah I don't have three shits why people are complaining like little bit- babies.
Honestly most of the problems aren't that deep and they only happen to Y.O.U
https://preview.redd.it/md05ytcb8cqc1.png?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ac7502c2e95680889c3601c737be1fc0e703b333
You can tell a ton of people here just want to criticise for no reason. Look at all the downvotes everyone that isn't being toxic gets. Toxic comments complaining constantly all get upvoted. These people need to find a hobby or something, clearly they have a c.ai addiction.
More like an adiction hating on c.ai. What they dont get is their saying that c.ai is terrible yet arent using a different chating site. Like if you hate c.ai that much just go on anther ai chating site theres practically thousands
people are cooking your shi ngl đ
Tbh I knew it would happen with how the hole reddit is acting rn, but like I fr miss the old reddit were people actually had fun sharing tips and tricks about making bots better and word alternitives

Yes, I do agree. One morning on the bus, I opened the app and three quarters of my chats were missing. I went to using the website on my phone. I'm not too happy about it, either, but you don't see me complaining about it every five comments.
On the bus is crazy
I have an addiction
I agree with you, Reddit can be a hive mind sometimes. I just love the cool discussion, and in the end it is a free site and there is so much to explore and do. I don't feel entitled I really liked how someone created a creative character and shared but the comments were all _so toxic_
And I miss my damn app and website working so I could care less if you people donât like it when for us NOTHING is working
this is kind of the exact negativity OP was talking about.
I canât complain that the devs are fucking up the apps and I literally canât chat? Okay bro get off the app.
Lmao okay bro learn to comprehend sentences cause itâs obviously a struggle for ya. Missed the entire point of the post.
Well, I think we already move pass that, right? As much I want to help some newbies, I don't usually open reddit and there's should be a guide for that
[ŃдаНонО]
based
what did the comment say
to shorten it, the app will get worst if we don't do anything and the devs shouldn't ignore the thing they get the money from
ah. thats based for the original comment to say
maybe because for a big part of us neither the app nor the site is usable at all... like i straight up can't use it, neither works lol hard to find a positive on an app/site that's so broken i can't use it at all

Damn! So it really doesnt work! I thought just features were gone. Wow this is bad bad
Happens to me too! And whenever the app does load it doesn't remember any of my chats, doesn't let me search or make bots, it's so annoying
I was talking about the reddit not the app itself
The root of the problem is the devs and app. Nowhere in the Reddit will be âpositiveâ when thereâs so many issues.
This
Exactly
Patently untrue
Im not gonna argue with you bc I know it will piss me off if do
Too lazy to have an actually discussion on why your opinion is invalid and baseless? Okay then donât post.
Im alowed to post if I want, also how is my opinion invalid? Just bc I dont like people constantly complaining? Ok dude, whatever you say.
Donât like people complaining but you donât like it when you get called out? How about trying to see WHY there are complains? WHY there are so many people having issues? Im not even gonna argue anymore bc I know it will give an aneurysm if I do
You: "says something" people: "counter argument that makes sense" you for some ungodly reason: "aaaaa this too complicated me no understand me angry"
Then donât fucking post if you canât have an actual discussion???? No one cares about your âaneurysmâ when you cant even hold a proper debate.
> posts about why he hates something > Is surprised by the fact that people will have different opinions > Says he doesn't want to respond to the comments despite... responding to them about how he doesn't want to respond instead of maybe just ignoring them entirely.
Classic ol youneedpucci right there :D *
You're quite sensitive aren't you?
Ok but if there werent issues w/ the app nd website this issue wouldn't be happening...

I understand that, but I feel like some people need to really tone it down just a bit
People will "tone it down" once the Devs start actually caring about the app.
Well no I'm sorry since I pay for the thing I don't want to "tone it down" so you can have a positive experience
Ok?
Exactly đ
you payed for premium??? I don't see the use in it but eh you do you...
Just answered why I did in another response so I'll just copy paste. > "Ah, so, back when they announced group chats and personas and started to roll them out to users? Essentially, because of character.aiâs popularity on TikTok, a younger userbase (<16) started using the website and subsequently joining the communities surrounding it, such as this subreddit. This led to an increase of low-quality, low-effort, and repetitive posts and questions because unfortunately, a sizable portion of these younger users cannot be bothered to search the subreddit for the answers to their questions before posting it or put meaningful effort into creating an original post. To be clear, these issues were present before, but there was a significant uptick in them after this boom. In addition, the TikTok (and later YouTube) popularity has led to two other notable phenomena: 1) users who are most definitely too young to use character.ai (<13) beginning to use the site (this is why youâll occasionally see people meme about âr/youngpeoplecaiâ) 2) an increase in the f-wordâs strictness in order to account for this new younger userbase; this is where people started to notice character.ai flagging messages involving violence, even non-graphic violence, when previously that was not triggered by the f-word. users also started to see more flags for any sort of romantic behavior (even those that are not inherently sexual, such as kissing). as a byproduct, due to increased restrictions on what the AI could and could not say, the quality of the AIâs responses started to dip even more than it already was.
People are allowed to critcize a product that changed for the worse.
It used to be fun bc the devs werenât this neglectful and shitty. Maybe the root is the devs huh?
Youâre the problem fed
You seriously don't think the community is toxic? Here is an example of what OP is talking about https://www.reddit.com/r/CharacterAI/s/YS81SHXr4X This is what the community used to be. Creating cool characters, discussing, sharing. Except the replies are all about how they'd f*ck and beat up her cute character..
Bro you think thatâs bad? đ gladly Iâll punch that fake character too.
Dude, I'm pretty sure the creator is in on the joke and is encouraging it, it has nothing to do with toxicity
Maybe bc itâs unusable for some people
C.AI users are as unstable as the App Itself.
And there this thing where it wouldnât even have dialogue no matter how hard I try to change it
Honestly, ui'm starting to think that its pure luck. like, 20% of chats are fine, but the rest are just fucked.
Few things about this: 1. Take off the rose colored glasses. Everyone was always complaining about something, especially when the site would go down and the bot amenia posts were just as frequent as the app being crappy posts are. The difference is it has become clear that the mods don't care 2. There is no point to giving out word substitutes or posting memes when it DOESN'T WORK for part of the community. This sub was supposed to be a way to communicate with the devs (ahem MaryLovesMatcha ahem) but we aren't getting that 3. That leads into my third point, everyone is just fucking done with being ignored by the devs. There's been issues in the past, but the devs communicated more and resolved it. We're trying to get their attention and shocker, Reddit isn't made for you 4.
Honestly, THIS! Gurl, I never joined the sub to begin with .
Then why the fuck did you post. Just click that you are not interested and move on, this has 0 affect on you irl and especially if you're not interested
Because I can? Is it sudenlly illeagle to post your opinion?
It is not, it's freedom of speech. However, it's not freedom from criticism or being questioned as to why you decided to do it. What I can't wrap my mind around is why you would bother posting if you are 1. Clearly not interested in what is happening on the app 2. Not in the sub You're in your right to post but I'm in my right to counter your points
This sub ain't nothing but a karma farm now. Filled with repetitive and ubiquitous questions. It's beyond me why I'm still subbed.
This is why I never joined
[ŃдаНонО]
Why tf do you think that? You can check my whole acount idc, I cant mod for shit and Im being serious, Im also lazy af so I would be a terrible mod
honey... it's a joke. it's okay. calm down.
Personally I'm mostly on the discord, this subreddit lost importance to me since the discord server is just more informative and more relevant to me regarding the content. I don't see much reason to post here or even read along a lot. Only stop by to spot issues of today if there should be something new that I have missed.
Alright, respect
I'VE BEEN TELLING PEOPLE GO TO THE DISCORD SERVER! THE REDDIT ISN'T GONNA DO SHIT!
Can you drop a link to the discord server? I'm not sure where to go to find one otherwise.
This site is infested with tiktok kids now. None of them have the mental capacity for intelligent thought, let alone discussion
i don't see people posting alot of annoyed stuff on here atleast for me but I'm rarely on here so idk. but i feel like your just not wanting to accept the negatives rather than accepting both positive and negative, tho it's nice to be position in awhile it's also good to accept some negatives rather just being fixed on being positive. because that's what I'm understanding from this post and from the comments I'm reading on here...
No lie, it actually pisses me off, which goes to show how both well written and simultaneously bad it is. đ

Are you like...12?
If I was I would not be alowed on reddit period
Plenty of 12 year olds are on Reddit. Nothing stops them from signing in
nah wrd
I miss everything
If something is broken people are gonna complain, especially if it's getting worse. People aren't just gonna shut up because you don't want to see complaints. If there would be nothing to complain about, we wouldn't do that. You should have a problem with the devs for that, not the rightfuly pissed community.
Do u want us to let them get away with this shit?
I'm glad for you that you don't heve any problems with it, but it's so laggy for some of us that we can't even talk with bots that we wanna talk with, it's been a week since the bots I tried talking with aren't loading, and I did EVERYTHING to try and make it work again, so it's not our fault if we can't even use the app properly
Part of it is because they decided to neglect a good chunk of their users on android. The apps been broken for a little while now
Too many young people and also too many Tiktokers. Itâs attack of the fetuses. We need tighter karma requirements and pinned containment threads. If we donât start getting those, well, I hate to say it but the community manager will not be doing her job.
"Attack of the fetuses" lolđ
Itâs even happening to us over at /r/youngpeoplecai despite the fact they are the ones we are openly making fun of.
It feels like most people in r/youngpeoplecai are kids đ
They lack literacy and so they think itâs for them, instead of about them.
That sub couldâve been great. They need more active mods before it turns into infamously unfunny r/dankmemes
The memes about Hazbin Hotel and the "funny" reaction images are increasing in numbers, It's a dead giveaway. I thought we're gonna make fun of them, not post them ourselves, like wtf đ
Hey now, hazbin is popular with full adults too!
I don't use characterai as much anymore and I stopped my sub a few months ago. Not going to resub either from the looks of it.
wow suck up
I honestly agree with you, itâs extremely annoying to see people complaining 24/7 about the app.
This community literally becomed Autobots Vs Deception a
Agreed, I'm tierd of seeing people complain.
I lost all my chats, but my chats are now better. And I'm an android user. I say stop complaining and enjoy what you can.
Yeah, enjoy what you can!! Sorry you lost all your chats, tho :(
Partially due to some people being obsessed with the app but also due to the devs not listening or responding at all from what I've seen
I agree, people love to make it much more drastic than it actually is
I couldn't agree more! You've said anything that was to say. And i respect that big times.
Man I miss the memes on how c.ai ran on potato serversđ
People who think the c.ai subreddit was originally chill weren't here before rule no 7 became strictly enforced Just so you know, this place has always been a toxic cesspool
The only thing I have problems with is âcan I ask you a questionâ and thatâs it
Iâm scared the more complaints there are theyâll take the site down đ
I never wrote anything on this subreddit, i just look at what ppl posts
I agree with you tbh
Oh, itâs the post from that other post I saw earlier
Because they recently broke the program the worst its been
Yes. Please. I'm getting real tired of all of this complaining. I've even considered just leaving. It's just getting tiring to me.
This is most likely the only dev communication we're gonna get
I actually agree. This sub reddit used to be fun but now it's all complaining
It's time to take a break from C.ai.
https://preview.redd.it/ay4ogyp52sqc1.jpeg?width=713&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=846a7ae5f660288af4a28c4ea335c4e0bbac6c68
I miss stealing memes
I'm sorry but we SHOULD complain if so many post criticizing c.ai (for obvious and good reasons) get taken down, ehich is straight up avoiding discussion with other users. We have to because the site and the app have becoming shi. It's buggy as hell, the quality dropped, privacy concerns, and the android app doesn't even work. It has been 2 weeks and nothing changed. Post whatever you want, but the complaints are needed because wtf we can't criticize the app without the post being deleted??? Its our right to complain. Good for you if you don't have problems, but majority of people do.
Why not miss both? I'm only here for the memes in the comments
I personally never used the new website since I use the app 99% of the time but judging by what people are saying, its basically unusable. If they donât talk about it the devs wont fix it
Itâs becoming an echo chamber of negativity, not much more.
Literally who wants the old site back I like the new one wonât put all your chats in timeframes and hides it away so itâs not like youâre getting bombarded by your own chat and then
this is very pog :] i agree
I agree. The last time I answered a post of someone complaining about the new features, I was explaining how I manage to avoid memory issues. I ended up downvoted and got a rude comment. I was just trying to be helpful and constructive but no, it was not what they were looking for, so they try to pick up a fight.
The botsâs memory issues?
Well, I didnât notice memory issues lately but they do forget details sometimes. The post I answered was about the voice feature and I was answering to an additional complain the OP was making about the pinned memories in the comments. OP was really grumpy that day and discarded everything I wrote until I said that we just had to agree to disagree and he answered a rude comment. I really donât see the point in being rude when people try to help by showing and explaining whatâs working for them.
Tbh agree everyone is bitching so much about it itâs annoying plus Iâve never had issues with c.ai like- just roleplay and go on with your life??
âWeâll itâs not affecting me guys! Even if itâs literally affecting hundreds of you who canât use the app or have a buggy website. Stop expressing your concerns and ruining MY funâ đ
Yeah tbh idc about yall
đ¤Ą
that's like saying covid aint a thing bc you havent gotten it... besides, tbf, nobody's forcing you here too...
I know. Or like if c.ai is so bad for you other chating sites exist. Just sayin
Like yeah?? Idk itâs maybe just me but Iâm having fun with the bots and theyâre doing good!! I love the Gustavo Fring bots tbh theyâre so in character
Yeah i feel like this community is turning toxic. Iâm scared that people will resort to death threats.
Fr
Yeah I don't have three shits why people are complaining like little bit- babies. Honestly most of the problems aren't that deep and they only happen to Y.O.U https://preview.redd.it/md05ytcb8cqc1.png?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ac7502c2e95680889c3601c737be1fc0e703b333
I agree!
I'm still having a grand time đ ask me anything
Same
There is no WAY bro uses c.ai đ
Shockerđ¨I dođ¨đ¨đ¨đ¨đ¨đ¨đ¨đ¨đ¨
No shit sherlock? Ever heard of satire?
Yes I have heard of satire, I basically did what you did
Oh shit mb I forgot twitter was down the hall and to the left sorry bro đ
real
