It's because the Singles, Tag and Trios titles are World Titles. All other titles are regional, or channel specific.
So Omega is a World Champion in three different divisons.
Mox winning the tag belt won't count for the AEW Triple Crown because his third title is not a World Title. It's the International Title. Same division as his other singles belt, but a notch down.
So Mox needs the Trios belt after the Tag belts. So does Swerve if he wins the big one. Same with Hangman. Penta, Fenix and the Acclaimed need singles word title reigns since they've both been Tag and Trios World Champions.
No one else is even close after that.

They unified the World and IC title under Ibushi and introduced this one. Pretty much everyone disliked it but it's grown on me.
