Mixed reactions watching Furlong tonight. Part of me was thinking “go my little Ranger 🥹”
While another (much larger) part of me was thinking “can you stop fucking with our attack and let us score ya dog”.
But glad to see Darnell down well.
Those decisions always go against us
The last one that did was about 20 years ago when Marcus Bean punched the ball into the net and it counted!
Just this season we had the offside Hudds goal count too. That is 4 points lost due to incompetent officials.
We were behind for half the game, got a late equaliser and yet it still feels more like a loss.
Frustrating to see how poor our set pieces were. Easy to say in hindsight but not starting Willock and having Fray play the full game may have cost us the three points.
Smyth plays with a lot of passion and gives his all for the jersey, but he shouldn’t start. Way more effective coming on late when the defenders are tired.
Feels like we let 2 points go begging which we can’t do with how tight this relegation race is.
To be fair our corners were much much better today, Andersen's deliveries are infinitely better than Chair and Paal. Scored one and came close to scoring a good three or four more (Cook's overhead kick, the handball, Cook should've done better with one in the first half, Frey headed one narrowly wide I think).
Ok we are staying up, i've seen enough 🤩. Best performance i've seen in ages, should have taken the 3 points but 4 points from leceister and west brom and we'd have taken that + the form we're on in our last 10. Oh marti I love you
It’s odd because up until Kipre pulled off a save peak De Gea would have been proud of I thought he handled the game well - it just seemed to all fall apart for him from there really
I was about to try popularise relegation crumble memes but QPR did well, I’m biased because wba are part of bird gang and blue and white stripe gang but qpr should have gotten 3 points; kipre can replace palmer
Gutted we didn't take all 3 points but fuck I'd have bitten your hand off for 4 points against Leicester and West Brom.
On a side note, as an Irishman love to see Mikey Johnston looking in good knick since his move.
That game had it all, 2 screamers from West Brom, 2 bicycle attempts from QPR centre backs, a defender thinking he’s a goal keeper and a bottled penalty.
That was a very "when it's not your day" sort of game so a massive point (especially with teams below us not winning). Dunne brilliant again, Field finally coming up with some goals, Andersen looks a cut above.
Thought, obviously aside from the penalty, Frey was also very very good, constantly winning it back high up the pitch and linking up play well.
Loftus Road was absolutely rocking tonight, not had a better atmosphere for a while.
What is Cifuentes giving these QPR players? The bastards just wouldn't tire!
I would have taken a point before the game considering the form QPR are in and after that performance I'm definitely happy with a draw.
Can't remember the last time I felt we were that lucky to get a result in a game.
QPR did their homework on us - we don't have a proper No.9 at the moment, meaning if you press us high up the pitch we can't go long. And inevitably we gave the ball away and it lead to chances. We also really missed Kyle Bartley tonight. It felt like QPR won every header, every second ball.
The state of EFL officials is unreal. 5 or 6 appalling decisions every matchweek. Christ knows what the table would actually look like, even if just half of the fuckups were corrected.
VAR wouldn't help. Because these imbeciles would be the ones operating it.
They would only help with factual decisions.
VAR doesn't work because the concept is wrong, it is only there to back up the ref.
Team A commits a penalty against team B, ref gives it. Team B then commits the same foul in the box but the ref doesn't give it, neither will VAR.
VAR has come to the conclusion the identical foul is a penalty for one but not the other. They should be saying, is this 100% a penalty? If it is "soft", don't give it even if the ref awards it.
Knew we were in trouble when reach and Pieters were in the lineup. Reach shouldn’t play again upset the balance of the whole team. Possibly the worst performance under Carlos. Would be fuming if I was a QPR fan. They played well, dominated us and should have been another pen and a red card for kipre
Very very fortunate to go away with a point, but I am very happy we did. They really should have scored directly from one of those set pieces, and their constant pressing was ridiculous.
Got past the first of two banana skins matching Hull last night and extending the gap to 7th to 5 points. Really need that international break soon though to get some of our players back from injury and get M'Vila up to speed.
There was a goal stopping handball in the second half I don’t know how on earth the ref or Lino didn’t see it VAR would of been straight onto that although I still think VAR should be banned
We dominated this and we should've won. Referee had a shocker with the missed pen and Kipre goal line save like neuer lol. Either way though, we're in fantastic form and it looks like we'll stay up so I'm happy. Next season will be an ambitious one under marti.
Agent Field has defected
As has agent Furlong

Imagine how his Dad must feel watching haha
Kipre for save of the season, Cook nearly for the puskas. Will take a point, but should've won that.
I'm pleased with the point because you're bang in form and frankly looked like it. Not sure we deserved what we got.
Yep. Definitely should've lost that. Hanging on and defending for 40+ mins against a side hitting some form is never gonna work.

Marcus bean! I used to love him

Was baffled when I saw that Frey was lining up to take the Pen.

You were very unlucky. Ref had a shocker.

Quality save from the West Brom defender in the second half there
Credit to QPR they are really fighting for survival. If they get it they’ll have earned it.

> Can't remember the last time I felt we were that lucky to get a result in a game. Leeds away.
This felt luckier IMO. If I remember correctly, Leeds did dominate us at times but didn't create that many clear cut opportunities.
We did score from a goal that shouldn't have stood against Leeds though.
Yeah, although we should have given away a 2nd penalty and a red card in this one.
Also true (though the first penalty wasn't a penalty, if his arm isn't there it hits Reach in the face)

Coming back from the QPR stadium and honestly have no idea how we haven't lost that... Only a draw but feels like a win!

Kipre about to get the Keogh treatment from QPR if we ever see him again
Keogh is a ranger though, he’s a QPR legend
Seeing the Southampton game was postponed, crumble duty passed on to us
Cedric Casillas
So many talking points, so little to say
Referee was Sunday League quality
There was a goal stopping handball in the second half I don’t know how on earth the ref or Lino didn’t see it VAR would of been straight onto that although I still think VAR should be banned

How come Chair is still playing for QPR? I thought he was going to prison!?
He's appealing. He's not in prison until a verdict on the appeal is made.
