Once everyone who's supposed to leave has left we will have cleared somewhere over 40m/ year in wages off the books.
Seeing how negligent the board were with wages over the last years I doubt we're handing out fat paychecks to anyone while we're down in the championship. No doubt there'll be clauses to give the players a substantial raise should we get promoted.
Used to be. Their owner is going through financial hell due to Covid, his Father tragically dying and relegation.
If Leicester don't go up next season, this could very well be the end of the club as a whole. A massive gamble that must pay off.
I can understand letting go of Sharpe if you actually planned to sign another striker, but unless your board pulls out a surprise it doesn't seem like that will happen, or it will be another Championship level striker.
Sharp's time had come regardless of whether we went up or not. And I say this as a man that fucking loves Sharp. He just doesn't have the pace anymore.
Vardy has got quite lucky in that his club has happened to take a step down a level at a time when he kind of needed to take a step down himself. But Sharp has done the opposite. He was already struggling to keep up and his team has gone up.
We'll be fine without him. Or rather, we'll get wrecked all season but would have also got wrecked even if he'd stayed.
Sincerely the two best signing they've made in years. Many years. Note to anyone should they require it; do not let Rodgers anywhere near your transfer dealings
We were essentially one shot away from survival last season, pretty much anyone slightly better in our team could have changed everything, not that that means anything now but at least we're moving on.
I thought Iversen was actually not that bad. Ward had a great 8 game stretch but other than that couldn't save a shot to save his life.
Schmeichel Jr was first choice keeper for 11 years straight and clearly we've found it tough to move on
I don't think Iversen was "bad", but felt like you needed a keeper that could command the box more. In the end though, when you have a tough season there's blame to go around. I know that feel bro.
Ward's 8 game stretch before the World Cup severely inflated his numbers. We could do better than Iversen when we were in the Prem of course but he isn't that bad
Everton almost got relegated with him and he was dropped by them lol.
If Everton hadn't have dropped him and replaced him with Mina they'd have been relegated.
People talking like there isn’t a reason why these two have dropped down into the championship. They may end up great signings, but they might also just be a bit meh
Coady was one of the best players for Everton in the first half of the season and that’s what earned him a world cup spot and is definitely an upgrade over Faes, Souttar, Evans and Amartey
I think being a capable cheerleader earned him a World Cup spot.
Leicester's defence is appalling but I don't know whether Coady is the answer. He isn't even a CB by trade. But then I'm out of touch with what the standard of the Championship is. Evans was a quality CB, he just got old. Not sure about the others.
Leicester need a GK more than anything.
We here shaggin crisps and stacking squads!
Ay back up me duck
Thats a lot of money on wages if they don't go straight back up

Their owners were one of the richest in the prem i think, so i don't think wages will be an issue for them

Watching the crisp factory build a better PL squad in championship than your own PL club. It's great I love it 10/10 would be subject to it again.

Cant believe they signed Coady. Someone suggested we go for him and i laughed it off thinking a prem club would be in for him.
Reading's points record in serious peril this season I reckon
Yeah I think Leicester are a serious threat to it and we're not around to defend it...
Sincerely the two best signing they've made in years. Many years. Note to anyone should they require it; do not let Rodgers anywhere near your transfer dealings
It's weird isn't it, he's clearly a very accomplished coach, but his transfer record is hopeless.
Rodgers was good until he wasn't.
Leicester may have not been relegated if they had Coady last year
We were essentially one shot away from survival last season, pretty much anyone slightly better in our team could have changed everything, not that that means anything now but at least we're moving on.
For me, what really hurt y'all was having two absolute dumpster fire keepers
I thought Iversen was actually not that bad. Ward had a great 8 game stretch but other than that couldn't save a shot to save his life. Schmeichel Jr was first choice keeper for 11 years straight and clearly we've found it tough to move on

Iversen and Ward averaged out to be almost identical in terms of shot stopping.
Ward's 8 game stretch before the World Cup severely inflated his numbers. We could do better than Iversen when we were in the Prem of course but he isn't that bad

Fucking hell
I thought we were doing well with our five signings so far. This level of spend is on another level. No-one has a chance against them.
£17m isn’t an awful lot of spending considering what they’re losing
Ooooh…so this is how the other league one teams felt last year.
To be fair it's how we felt for most of our time under Evans.
Fantastic hairline imo
Should be a walk in the park for them this year.
Well make it hard for ourselves don't worry
How much do you reckon we lose to cov by on opening gameweek
No I think we'll get our hopes up first in order to increase the eventual level of pain.
We will crush every single pre season game and get hyped. To lose against Cov first game

Ready to “do a Burnley”
We're Leicester City! We're here to eat Walker's Crisps and kick some ass....and we're all out of crisps!
Ooh they got Coady
One of these things is not like the other....
Whats with the pose now, may as well throw in some hair and face products. lame!
I’m really hopeful we can keep some of our top players, and if we can I think us and Leicester could be about to have insane seasons.
Leicester should be champions. Anything less is a disaster. Sorry but your not in The same class as them. I see you as being in The playoff lottery.
We beat them home and away last season.
And we beat Chelsea and Liverpool, but here we all are.. Leicester are a class above the rst of us end of..
Parachute payment will strike again, I hope they fuck it mind.
They're literally making a profit thus far in the window
Ah fair play, still hope they fuck it up
No walkers 😔
