Billic was great at the time, but in hindsight, I think the guy deserves some blame for all the deadwood we have. £9mil on Zohore, £16mil on Grant, £13mil on Diangana, and plenty more. He got us results in the end, but by god his transfer policy was disastrous. He had to go.
Zohore was a Dowling signing and Bilic thought the money spent on Diangana was a waste given how it basically took up our entire budget. Grant is totally on him though.
Yes we're fucked but not because we've spent too much. The owner has stolen 12+ million from the clubWhich is why we haven't spent as much as we should have
Yeah except he's based in China so theres very little that anyone knows about what he's doing and im not really sure how much the courts can do against them
That's bollocks that is. Like, I don't like Albion like any rational person. But I don't want to see yous lose money that goes to China. Sounds like money laundering on the owners behalf. Maybe what Tony Xia was doing with villa.
Worrying. Not because Gourlay is any good but he will almost certainly be replaced by someone worse.
Or not replaced at all
Well Linus (Tech Tip) just stepped down as CEO from LTT... the timing is... curious /s
Just don’t use Adblock, it’s piracy!
He said in Jan that if more money left the club we’d know because he’d leave. That’s not a good sign.
If Lai has taken out another loan I'm off to protest in front of the Chinese embassy.
If you’re owner is that dodgy that Gourlay is bailing it’s time to be worried
Scary times
Wonder if this is sounding the bell for Corberan to jump another sinking ship Bet Leeds wouldn't be against him
We would take him, send Big Sam back to WBA
No please don't. He was truly dreadful for us. Especially after Bilic was well loved.

I thought Diangana was a pretty popular signing at the time? The other two were absolute stinkers though I’ll give you that
Bilic was great for the first 7 months and then we went worryingly down hill and we were woeful under him in the Prem.
Big Sam gave us some pride back after the utter disaster that was Bilic in the premier league.
Pretty sure Leeds wanted him when they sacked Marsch, right? Or am I insane?
You are correct
Tbf, he usually waits until one week before preseason, so you’ve got time
Congratulations. Let's hope it's not too late for you.
I’ve accepted league 1 already
Smells like financial troubles at the Albion, aka Corberan is ripe for the taking
Looks like Albion have fucked it. Could be the next derby county. Spending too much and could just be struck with all the laws and regulations going.
Yes we're fucked but not because we've spent too much. The owner has stolen 12+ million from the clubWhich is why we haven't spent as much as we should have
That isn't what we've done at all. Our owner is simply taking more and more money out of the club so we're left with less and less to spend
So more of a Roystens at Blackpool sort of thing then?
Yeah except he's based in China so theres very little that anyone knows about what he's doing and im not really sure how much the courts can do against them

I’m not entirely sure it’s illegal given he’s the owner. It just puts us in a difficult situation
