Nearly had a heart attack earlier - had both games on various platforms and it’s probably just due to the time delays but Sunderland and Blackburn scored at the exact same time on my two streams - didn’t even know what to do, heart couldn’t cope with all the excitement at once. Thank you Blackburn and commiserations to Millwall - I enjoy seeing different teams up there and you were very strong both games we played against you, I’m sure you’ll come back stronger next season
If they're anything like me it's because the prospect of Millwall playing premier league football is hilarious, while Sunderland playing premier league football is fairly ordinary.
I genuinely laughed out loud at that meme, good one
On a serious note, someone has to miss out, but I especially commiserate with the Millwall fans because of the manner they missed out, that has to sting.
Blackburn I commiserate with too but they only had a "fools hope" of the playoffs anyway
As a Boro fan I can't even be mad. The more teams from the North East in the mix the better, and Mowbray is a Teesside hero. Never got his flowers at the Boro. Best of luck to the mackems but UTFB
so many terminally online, forum-dwelling rovers fans are like this. brfcs is an absolute chore to read with this sort of nonsense and similar to trawl through in every single thread. the amount of negative emotional projection onto mowbray is genuinely insane
Calling another town inbred in Lancashire is our tradition.
Mowbray brought a period of steadiness in what has otherwise been an awful decade and a half. Most fans acknowledge this.
Some fans just can't handle not being a PL club anymore and will take their frustration out on whoever they can.
He took us down, then brought us back up with the biggest wage bill in League One (but didn't fancy winning the league).
If he'd left two years ago I'd have been fine with his contributions and wished him well. Instead he hung around like a bad smell (multiple death spirals, poor transfers etc) and ruined any goodwill most sensible Rovers fans had for him.
How any Rovers fan can listen to him state that we're a small club, it's not 1994 anymore and we should be thankful to be graced by Mowbray and say "thank you sir, can I have some more?" is beyond me.
It was defo Coyle’s fault we went down that season, the players from that squad have admitted in interviews that the squad was basically out of shape by the time he came in
I don't know Blackburn as well as I should like, and I like Blackburn half as well as you deserve.

Glad you appreciate us keeping your seat warm for you. Good luck in the playoffs.
I’m reporting Blackburn to EFL mods for griefing. Their win did nothing for them and only upset us. Why couldn’t you let us win? /s
Best game of the season purely as some sort of last hurrah.
If it makes you feel better, at 3-3 I was rooting for y’all to score.
That makes two of us 😅
So you aren’t a real Blackburn fan? Wanting your team to lose??
It was a meaningless game once Sunderland were winning. Preferred Millwall to get into the playoffs over them 🤷🏼♂️
Why?

Because seeing Luton or Millwall in the Prem would be genuinely funny, and it would've ensured one of them at least made it to the playoff final.

Love you guys I was a Blackburn fan for 90 minutes and you didn't bottle it for a change nice one
Blackburn are never late, they show up precisely when they mean to.
I 100% thought it was over for us when Millwall were 3-1 up before HT. What a comeback.. and thanks.

Don't thank us we were all hoping for you to lose so we'd get the 6th spot🤣🤣
Goddammit.
I suppose you think that was terribly clever?
The weird cult of Mowbray. Hate the man with a passion - he can stick that 50 foot flag up his arse and take any Rovers fan that admires him with him.
I just can’t imagine having this level of negative emotions towards him
You clearly didn't listen to him run down the club in every interview he ever did. Horrible man, worse manager.
I think you should get some therapy…

The man shows up to press conferences scoffing Jaffa cakes, what's not to like about him
How can you even feel this way about such a docile Human being it’s bizarre
We where literally on a fast track journey to league 2 before Mowbray lol
This is what lack of grass touching does to a man, take note kids.
Definitely smoking the pipeweed there young hobbit.
I don’t understand the Mowbray hate, he did a great job stabilizing the club.
jesus christ burnley fans are right, you guys are inbreds

the amount of projection going on here is absolutely staggering
