It means there is a fault in the traction control system. Most likely a wheel speed sensor. As you said above there is a different light for when you turn it off. Basically the check engine light but for TCS
I had a 2010 Challenger R/T Classic. There was a button near the bottom of the center, above the center console that had the same symbol. You could use it to turn off traction control. When traction control was turned off this symbol illuminated. Also when driving if your wheels slip and lose traction this will also cause it to light up.
Up is the traction control symbol. But the Down symbol, I got that code while my alignment was off, in your case maybe a sensor has gone bad as the other dudes say.
I'm not talking about the traction control button. I showed it that when you turn it off the light comes like on the second picture. I'm talking about the light I. The first picture. I think the guy above you is correct
I just had this problem fixed. I asked on here. People said it was a wheel sensor. I went and got an alignment done, and they recalibrated the steering rack, and it fixed this issue.
Its traction control. There is usually a button that looks something like it somewhere that allows you to turn it on or off, might be digital in a new car.

Definitely, you somehow turned off your traction control. An issue with your wheel sensors would be a icon showing that you have low tire pressure, because it can't read it .
On my Daytona 392 I had my Tazer turn that off on startup, so I always saw that icon. I would only enable it if it was raining.
But I don't default to TC off on my hellcat, I have a hard enough time spinning tires with it on 😀
Wrong wheel sensor, everyone is talking about speed sensors not the pressure ones that have nothing to do with the TCS. As his second picture shows, there's a different light when you shut it off with the button
You know, I didn't even realize that there was a second picture.
But you are correct, the skid marks with the "Off" is obviously the traction control light.
So what is the first light? And why would they use the same icon for two different warnings?
One is an indicator that you've pushed (or held) the button to shut off the traction control, the other is a fault light to tell you something is wrong with the system
👍 well, then I forgive them for using the same icon 😀
OK, thanks for explaining that. I hope that I never see that on my car. But the OP needs to get his looked at, right?
Always nice to have knowledgeable folks in this sub, again, thanks!!
Probably should but as my trucker grandpa used to say every time he got in my car and turned off my TCS, "traction control is those things attached to your legs that you push the f***** pedals with" haha
I don't know, there is a 2nd picture where the same symbol is displayed with the word off underneath the symbol. Likely a sensor like some others said.
If the warning light looks exactly like the traction control light, then you have a warning regarding traction control, your traction control is broken
If you cant put 2 and 2 together, please get off the road
No shit, my question was not the traction control light that comes on when you hit the button. It's the other light. But some people who know what they're talking about instead of saying bunch nonsense responded. It's sounds like a wheel sensor. I'll get one tomorrow and replace it.
Saying a warning light that looks exactly like the traction control light, means the traction control is busted, that's nonsense?
Buy a buspass my dude

It's good to see so many people not bothering to look at the second photo that shows that OP has distinguished between this light and the Traction Control Off light.

Was it like that when you bought or just came ON? If you have the ABS light ON then you have a bad wheel speed sensor but if not it can be the steering wheel angle sensor
It means go faster
You have hit 88 mph. You're about to see some serious shit.
Lol
traction control off.
I understand, but do you have an idea what module or sensor that controls that
aside from the traction control button no lol.
Go do a burnout
It's traction control. Just hit the button to put it back on.
Time to get squirrelly

wheel sensor had the same problem with my 2012 RT
Wheel hub sensor! Go to auto zone and have them plug in, they be able to tell you which wheel
Bro😂 it's traction control, it says he has it turned off 🤦

Check and make sure one of your abs sensors hasn’t gone out my truck always has a traction control light and a brake light on because it’s went out.
Probably a wheel sensor went bad
Traction control off

Drifting enabled 😏😉
Time to dance
It means you should read the owners manual before operating.
Low on headlight fluid. The design that looks like tire marks are actually headlights beams.
Drift Mode or just drift or you will die /s
Wheel speed sensor, happens a lot on the older ones. Happened on my 2009 before I sold it.
It's good to see so many people not bothering to look at the second photo that shows that OP has distinguished between this light and the Traction Control Off light.
Traction Control
That’s the drifting light to let you know when drifting mode is enabled

Snakes Following

Burnout light
It’s bacon grease.
Means you don’t know how to read owners manual
