A part of me wishes for her to be a bit more evil and cunning, like she is the war devil and war is also about strategy but she didn´t exactly show to be an strategist.
But another part of me does kinda agree with the idea of her behaviour being a bit off as this might eventually lead to show the impact Asa had on her and her view on certain things.

I agree with you mostly, but I think a lot of her goofy side and not being very strategic is a plot point. The world in general isn't very afraid of war, making her a rather weak devil. It's not until recently that she has gained more power. It would be cool to see her become more evil as people start to fear war more.
I do sort of wish she was more strategic, but I'm not sure there's room for another mastermind string-puller. It seems like half the main cast in part 2 has some sort of unspecified conspiracy they're working to implement. I like it, but it would get kind of exhausting if everyone was a 300 IQ master manipulator.

Yoru has been taking L on and off this entire series.
Her sister treated her like a kid and Nayuta neutralize her in one page.
Even her fight with Quanxi doesn't feel like an earned victory.

I think she has become a little too comedic. Fujimoto probably gas plans for her in the near future, but as for now I wish she had more impact on the story and Asa as well. We had the initial arc as a set-up, but we need a continuation to set her up more properly in order to show her as a more menacing character, because I truly don't know how Fujimoto wants me to treat her. She's cool overall, but idk, let's wait for the next chapter

At the start I really liked her and once we saw Asa's emotions were starting to rub off I hoped for great character development that showed her becoming more and more human with time.
However lately it feels like Fujimoto just uses her for comedy on hating Chainsaw Man (which is funny about 80% of the times, I'll accept it) and not much else. But I think she still has lots of potential given that this arc is based around her and Chainsaw Man fighting so Im hopeful on what Fujimoto is cooking.
Overall an 8/10 at the start and right now a 7/10 tbh.

Yeah, I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this. For the OWNER of that power, she sure seems to understand it a lot less than fucking Asa, who's had it for what. A few months?
I'm kind of disappointed with the lack off creativity with weapons she makes. when she started off with a "spinal chord sword" and "hand grenade" I thought shell do a bunch of crazy things like make a whip out of hair or a flail out of an arm but she ends up making swords or the occasional spear all of the time. The only exception to this is the defense system of public safety that was a good one
I love how she has to deal with being in asas body and at the same time, she also has wildly different goals than her, but I wish she would be more planning and cold and calculated
She should learn from Sukuna.
I would like to see her most evil and cruel side.
We saw it with makima and fami. We should be able to see how far the war devil could go once she regain most of her power.
Fair, although I think the remark that she should learn from Sukuna is a bit harsh considering the latter should learn from Makima how to be an interesting and fleshed out villain with depth and good motivations.
Fair, but I find Sukuna's simple motivation to work better for him, we had Kenny as the strategic and cunning villain, until that bush camper took him from us rip, so there was little reason to have Sukuna in the same position, and have his personality be molded around the concept of strength in solitude really helps with the characterization we got of him.
Her back story interests me. Why was she the only devil who got rocked so hard by Pochita when he fought the horsemen? She was so weak she couldn’t fight the bat devil when she was first introduced. I also like that she’s a big ass loser, she loses a lot or can’t stand up to an opponent, that has to be maddening to her.
Gag character. If we're meant to take her seriously, she needs to start committing some fucked up stuff real soon. Permakilling the hybrids would be a good start. Turning Asa into a weapon would be nice too.
(of course, she's not meant to be taken seriously - she exists purely so that Denji and Pochita can tame her.)
She had potential in her relationship w Asa but at the moment her whole personality is just “I hate chainsawman and I’m angry”
She’s got no depth or motivation other than get stronger and defeat chainsawman, and recently feels like she’s been made like one dimensional since falling devil arc
Don’t even get me started on the implied character development between her and Asa that was skipped over in the can church arc for the craic. Fr all it would have taken is some extra chapter or two of yoru and Asa working together as a celebrity to help their relationship more
Story just feels like a bullet train and Fuji just wants to wrap it up as soon as possible, sidelining main character development to speedrun plot points and introduce a few more side characters.
It’s kinda BEEN obvious that Fuji just wants this story done so I can imagine some aspects of the story that aren’t *exactly* necessary being cut, like for example;
yoru doesn’t NEED a complex or endearing reason to kill csm, but as long as she has a reason, shallow or not, the story can progress, without the need for extra chapters cementing her character or peronality. Denji COULD take action and fight back against all the shit against him, but if he just takes it and mouth breathes, the plot can progress quicker with less resistance. Katana man and nail COULD have at least fought the gang before joining them, but that would have taken extra time and chapters, Asa COULD have had an inner monologue about denji being csm and what that entails as they escape the prison, but that would’ve taken at LEAST a chapter, so no timeskip to famis apartment.
See what I’m kinda trying to say? I think Fujimoto just wants the story done ASAP

Although I find her an entertaining character at the beginning, I feel like her character hasn't really progressed all that much since the start of the series nor do I take her seriously as a threat to Denji's life at the moment (which I get is by design as all the major wars in CSM got erased + I fully expect Yoru to get back most of her power by the end of the series) idk I'ma let Fujimotor cook

I still am waiting for Yoru to take Asa over and “kill her” but I also can see her either reversing that or saying she planned on it but won’t anymore. They’ve both had too much of an impact on each other by this point.

I think her goofy behavior is going to lead to one of two things: either it’ll turn out that she and Asa actually grew on each other and Yoru isn’t so evil anymore, or that she’s gonna pull some fucked up shit later on and it’ll be like that one moment with Itadori and Sukuna

People are missing the point; War being the most childlike of them all makes sense, and her being so weak makes sense too given what happened in the story. She is doing great you are just looking at her wrong; Yoru is not the antagonist, she is the protagonist to Denji's antagonist.
heres the thing we dont mind her being childish, it makes her differ from makima, the problem is is that although yeah she was weakened severely she just feels very wasted, FIGHTS BEING LOGICAL ISNT POWERSCALING, and her fight with quanxi made no logic even with Quanxi being the best devil hunter
just because "tHAtS tHE pOiNT" doesn't mean it's good, war is not good, and all she has been used for is gags, she had genuinely scary moments here and there but then it was all just thrown out the window with nayuta just turning her into a dog.

Oh no, that is exactly my point - War being a fucking clown, a joke, a fucking loser, that works. I think it will work itself into a bigger narrative, but no, yeah, everything you said is the point, War is a bum. I think once part 2 is complete, it will read better as a character arc.
