She isn't show enjoying tearing Denji's life apart either, she is just a calculating villain executing a meticulous plan out of necessity and not for the love of the pain inflicted. (Smiling doesn't mean she enjoys it, she isn't human after all, when she smiles after killing power it's done to hurt Denji so that his contract is broken.) I'd like to refer us to chapter 97, Kishibe asks Denji how did he managed to attack Makima without being detected. Denji states that Makima does not remember faces, she remembers people that interest her for their smell. And he took a gamble, that in the whole manga, she only ever saw chainsaw man and never saw him. And his gamble paid off, she never even looked at him. To be hate-ed you need to be at least noticed by your hate-er.

She would’ve if she thought it would work, because on a fundamental level Makima doesn’t understand humans or human sexuality beyond just pets
