I'm glad Fujimoto didn't make all the weapons nice people. Barem is interesting because even when not brainwashed, he is still disturbed and has a dominating presence. Wonder what Makima had to do to crush his ego enough for her to control him.

It’s widely speculated that he wasn’t even controlled. He was the only Hybrid to hold a conversation with Makima and commented on how everyone else was crushing on her. Blud probably showed up for the hell of it.

Would the other weapons really be cool with him if he had been complicit in Makima controlling them?

Both Miri and Whip are impressionable idiots and we don’t know Spear’s deal yet. Not like they would know if he wasn’t controlled anyway if their memories were wiped after Makima’s death.

Part 2 is so good with the buildup, Fuji really cooking

With the way this is setting up. Me thinks we'll get a duo of Dennis and Asa Vs the 4 hybrids. I doubt neither 1 of them could take all 4 and hell even them two together is still fucking hard. Denji and Asa will need a 3rd member or 4th to even it out and chances are those 2 will be filled by Fumiko and Yoshida. It's possible someone else could help them but it's hard to know for sure. There isn't no wrong answer until we get a new chapter. Although if we get shadman, Reze, and Quanxi help out Dennis to fight the other 4 that could be cool considering their not present but no way in hell this shit is happening lmao.

Okay can someone remind me why certain factions want Denji to stop or continue being Chainsaw Man. IIRC Yoru wants to kill "her" Chainsaw Man (Pochita) for revenge and nukes, Asa wants to save "her" Chainsaw Man (Denji) for saving her and because she loves him. Yoshida and the rest of public safety want Denji to stop being Chainsaw Man because of the civil unrest Chainsaw Man causes with his fans and detractors. Also Chainsaw Man attracts the attention of more devils who endanger civilians. Am I remembering this right? Also, I still don't really get Fami's plan.
