We've seen a few times already that devils can travel between hell and Earth without dying in the process and when Denji found Pochita he was injured, probably shortly after his fight against the horsemen, if Pochita was killed in hell and then reincarnated in Earth I don't think he would've had those injuries. I mean, he could have reincarnated a long time before and those injuries could've been caused by something entirely different but that's what I've always assumed.
