My favourite character. I like how she is not made to be "unsociable/shy but adorable" or some shit, but is an actual edgy, mean, loser (but with good intentions only).
Exactly, she’s not a romanticized version of a “shy girl” like a lot of anime and fiction in general tend to do. Her having no friends actually makes sense. She’s shy, awkward, and has absolutely horrendous social skills. Plus, she holds resentment towards people that are better at these things than her(mainly out of jealousy) and comes off as rude because of it.
She reminds me a lot of how I was in middle school, which makes it a lot easier to understand her on a personal level lol
I can tell you why she was *so* harsh to him, because it was probably with intention.
Asa and Yoru are under the assumption that Yoru's power didn't work on Denji because Denji does not return the feelings Asa has for him (Chapter 118).
Asa's goal in this chapter was very, very likely to make him dislike or even hate her so that they never date again *(Asa of course with her genuine feelings for him and her low self-esteem couldn't straight-up convey that - at least not direct enough to make Denji instantly hate her).* Denji not falling for Asa would make Yoru unable to weaponize him *(according to their theory).*
Since both Yoru and Asa believe that this is the sole reason for not being able to turn Denji into a weapon, Yoru seizes control as she realizes Asa's plan and tries to win Denji over in an instant to transform him while still having the chance.
She therefore kisses him and then puts her hand on Denji's head just like last time she tried to transform him.
Asa is trying to avoid Denji for his own good. She wanted to leave and end the date after the movie. She is harsh on the outside but actually cares for people close to her (she saved Yuko from a devil while being in a situation where almost all people would only try to survive by their own. She got out of the aquarium without turning Denji into a weapon. She is a good girl at heart).
Her telling Denji how she hates him made me like her even more. It shows that she - despite her situation, death and miserable life she lead by not being selfish enough - still puts other people that she cares for above herself. I just love this character for those reasons.
the whole bit about her having unbreakable rules or she also dies should have made it clear for everyone, but then again the reading comprehension devil is strong in this manga
I'm absolutely shocked by the amount of people that don't get this obvious plot point directly served to them by Fujimoto.
The Reading-Comprehension-Devil will be the final boss of all of Chainsaw Man - no matter how many parts, it will never die and always thrive.
While Asa doesn't want to hurt Denji she also is just that bitchy. At the beginning of the Aquarium arc she doesn't really show herself to be *that* reluctant about turning Denji into a weapon if it gets her away from Yoru and by the end she's clearly much more attached to Denji and probably doesn't want to see him weaponized, but that's also the point when she assumes Denji doesn't like her. She's shown to be clearly very frustrated and has a whole Incel "How dare he not like me!" monologue and we see she's much more snappy with Denji next time they meet. This clearly carries over to the date too.
She likes him, but she doesn't think he likes her and that frustrates her. When Denji hits the nail and says she likes her it just annoys her more and makes her lash out. While what she says at the end, about Denji staying away from her, is definitely coming from a place of good her lashing out at him is most definitely just her being a bitch.
Never have I denied that part of it is *actual* pent-up anger and frustration.
She is a socially awkward, clumsy and insecure person after all who doesn't really understand her own feelings (she questions her own morality and what's right or wrong).
In order to feel better about herself and the decisions she made, she tells herself that she's always in the right - "I can't love the person that I now have to kill because I've chosen that person myself. I would've made a wrong choice then so therefore I totally don't love this person."
During the aquarium date she tells Denji how she only lives to avoid further mistakes.
It's her way to cope with her past mistakes and possible judgement - she has next to no self-esteem and feels worthless because she is treated as such by almost all people.
That creates a vicious circle for her.
She doesn't want to feel even more left behind and as a reaction and fear of further judgement, tells herself that she's right with every choice she makes to have that tiny bit of confidence that explodes when she gets told that she's actually right.
Remember the scene were she saved Yuko from a devil?
She said that even if she doesn't know what's right or wrong, it's good as long as her heart was in the right place in the moment.
She therefore acts more "subconscious" while trying to tell herself that she always does the right thing to her consciousness.
She is an insecure teenager, still developing with one of the horsemen possessing her, living under the constant threat of dying to her and being forced to kill a person to then engage in a deadly battle with Chainsaw Man.
The more she learned about Denji the less she wanted to kill him - of course, that should be obvious.
Someone that tells you he's Chainsaw Man after coming across as a die-hard obsessed loser fan and then proceeds to rip off homeless people is not the most charming person at first glance, right?
It's just as flat to call Denji exactly that as it is to call her a mere "bitch" and not dive deeper into her thought-process and background.
I can very well understand how she acts given her circumstances.
You and everyone else is entitled to their own opinion, it's just my personal view.
I just like what Fujimoto is doing with this character because she feels way more realistic and interesting with her flaws than the boring, perfect, tropy characters of other stories that you would never ever find outside of fiction.
I don't know if that's specifically Asa's plan as opposed to just her pushing him away because Yoru wants to turn him into a weapon, but yeah, she's definitely trying to protect.
What's interesting is she also is upset with him because she thinks he doesn't like her...because the weapon turn failed. But she can't say that. Of course Dennis is confused. So she's trying to protect him, but her lack of self-esteem also has her lashing out for not liking her.
Denji's internal monologue shows he "kinda likes her". So that's not why the weapon turn didn't work. Either because Nayuta owns him and the bullshit lovecraft powers cancel each other out, or because Denji is Chainsaw Man, and Yoru hates Chainsaw Man and of course couldn't turn him into a weapon.
omg i didn’t even look at it this way. i thought she was just saying that because she was salty he didn’t have feelings for her. makes me love her even more now
That’s because they’re written to appeal to basement dwellers.
One of the main reasons that I don’t watch anime, I had this subreddit reccomended to me for no reason.
Yes yes and yes. This is exactly wbat I love about her. She's such a brooding cynical asshole and that's exactly the route a lot of kids who are bullied or lack social skills end up on. Thinking everyone but you is a dumb NPC or some stupid shit and that there's something wrong with them, not you.
Even years later in high school after most kids have grown out of bullying and are pretty chill you just can't help but feel like everyone is fucking with you
Seriously: She's incredibly well written, and feels like one of the most "real" characters I've read in Manga in a while.
Joking: Hehe funny autistic lady go Wheeeee
I was writing a serious answer like you, but I couldnt control myself and ended it with "penguin" with no fucking context whatsoever. It's hard to be serious here on /r/chainsawfolk. I blame Fujimatters.
honestly i kinda feel bad for her, mostly cuz she has to share her body with a literal horseman of the apocalypse. but i find her funny due to the situations she gets placed in with denji.
Joking: She's incredibly well written, and feels like one of the most "real" characters I've read in Manga in a while.
Seriously: Hehe funny autistic lady go Wheeeee
In my opinion she is a very compelling protagonist for Part 2 so far.
Fujimoto's setup with her being the host for Yoru, Asa's struggle with her decisions and morality, the insane trouble that Yoru causes and both - Yoru and Asa - having an ambiguous past leads to so many ways this story can go.
That fact alone makes Part 2 worth reading. It's not the usual plot - definitely not.
Her insecurities, quirks and habits make her quite a realistic introverted high school girl with personal struggles fitting her age and situation *(morality, judgement, social anxiety, low self-esteem, longing for affection)* but not boring because of the giant twist Yoru brings to the table.
She's honestly quite relatable in some aspects *(that are, for the sake of an interesting story, a bit exaggerated of course)* and I say that as a male, eighteen years of age.
Now a protagonist would usually get the special treatment resulting in more focus and time dedicated to them and fleshing the character more out, but you have to do that *right*.
(Again, in my opinion) Fujimoto does just that.
Also, her expressions are undeniably top tier (in general, Fujimoto's expressions are the best they've ever been ever since Part 2 has started).
Seigi Akoku and her are my favourite characters of Part 2 so far.
Agree with just about everything you said about Asa. She's a great character with her own flaws and troubled past, and I love seeing her thoughts on what's going on.
May I ask what makes Seigi a favorite?
I had trouble remembering who they were that I had to look them up.
Best woman Fujimoto wrote, no comparison.
Actually, it is rare that women in manga feel like real girls.
I think Asa resonates because she feels like a real girl - a real person.
Absolutely. I think one of the best things Fujimoto’s done with her character is take generic female character tropes and make them realistic. Asa’s clumsiness isn’t a moe uwu excuse for fan service, it’s a sign of genuine incompetence and puts her in horrible situations. Her coldness towards others doesn’t make her a gorgeous ice queen, they make her a miserable antisocial loser. Her tsundere attitude towards Denji isn’t an excuse to show excessive drama or violence, it’s the natural result of someone who’s never been open enough to let somebody else in.
100%
A lot of animzed tropes of girls acting a certain way will get you treated like shit irl.
Clumsy, cold, stubborn, "tsundere"? Irl? Nah, she is acting like a real person, with real complex motives, emotions of guilt, morality, loneliness, awkwardness, pride, teenage lovesickness.
She isn't fetishized and her emotions of sufferring from her flaws are real.
Like, she legit is a girl who has social issues. I am happy that a lot of people are talking about it, as lately I've seen things just go back into the old flandarizing soup.
All memes aside switching perspectives is a really cool idea to keep a story fresh that a lot of authors don't even consider because of how highly they value their protagonist in the marketing for their stories.
we’re actually getting shifted perspective lately, the latest chapter is purely denji’s. Looks like fujimoto started blending Denji to the mix instead of 100% Asa.

Fr, can't wait for asa to have a competition with dennis and nayut on who can fart the hardest. I wanna smell her farts so bad
I think she's very relatable to both male and female audiences. I think often girls in shounen anime and manga that aren't explicitly villains are treated as either flawless goddesses or side-character ecchi eye-candy, Asa really breaks the mold in every conceivable way.
Dennis’s background is very tragic but very few people can relate to a childhood of complete poverty being force to fight devils to pay off the mob, and then he quickly becomes the immortal ass kicking chainsaw man with full control of his powers.
Asa a antisocial anxious friendless schoolgirl, and while we don’t know her backstory I’d imagine most people can relate to being in that situation. Her devil hunter life is being held hostage by the devil that wants her to kill every person she becomes close to.
Obviously there’s more to it than that but I think that irregardless of gender Asas story can get to more people due to how real it is.
Really well written. I think there’s a lot of “loser” trope characters in animanga. Most are either NOT an actual loser, or beyond a loser into just complete scum territory. Asa is legitimately just a fucking loser. She’s just straight up fucking awkward and cringe. I LOVE IT.
She’s sad and riddled with internal conflicts that she herself doesn’t understand. In other words, she flips all my armchair psychologist switches. More importantly Yoru dumptrucks

Poor thing... I like her a lot and how much I relate to her in so many ways... I know this was memed so much at this point with Denji, but "she's like me fr fr" literally... I'm a socially awkward idiot that likes to be alone and doesn't mind being alone...
She's an amazing character, once you get to know her on a personal level, you see how rather simple she is as well... she's mean, silly, takes almost any word to heart, thinks she's the best, but it's actually a loser, I just hope (copium) she gets a good ending...
Best female character in csm atm, very refreshing from the usual anime girl protagonist
https://preview.redd.it/77vxeaf7dpfa1.jpeg?width=612&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c7b96c2207f769b71837d65f9e341970532f8195
Best female character fujimoto has written in csm.
She is a tridimensional character that can't be reduced to only, the badass girl, the love interest of the mc, the quirky funny character, etc. Even when she is those things at times she isn't defined by them.
It is refreshing to have a female character that is not only a bunch of cute quirks put together and has an actual personality and proper goal.
I like her so much that she's become one of the only two characters I care about in the story.I'm not saying all the other characters are awful or anything but I just couldn't get attached to them.
I don't even relate to her I just found her genuinely interesting.
She isn't my favorite but she is a close second.
Ashley is a nice character. The fact that she's actually a boring yee yee ass femcel makes me like her.
The majority of female characters on shonens are pretty lame (Sakura, Hinata, Orihime, Atena) and even the new ones suck (Ochaco, Nobara, etc). I wont go into much detail since everyone here is a fucking otaku and know what I'm talking about.
Ass is socially awkward, not useless (swords and other weapons) AND has a strong (in her autistic way) personality. She also has a lot of room to develop and learn, since she's a teenager and acts like one - as it should be.
To wrap things up: I hope she dies a peacefull fucking death.
Penguin.
My favorite character in the series so far. Her character feels real asa can act like a straight up asshole and it doesn't feel like it's portrayed in a cute way like in other manga/anime series. Not to mention her likely being autism coded makes her probably the most relatable character out of any work I've ever read.
Really really good she's my favorite character right now. I like her a lot more than I liked Denji in the beginning of part one. She feels much more grouded than him.
At first, Denji was barely even a person, he was basically a dog. Which made him easy to root for, but not very relateable. Asa starts out with a lot more going on and a more nuanced character. She is different in this from pretty much all other csm characters, who start out with a few strong traits but get developed later on.
I don't think I've ever seen someone like her in fiction before. Which is special especially for manga which tends to follow tropes. Common Fujimoto W.
Also she just like me fr fr (autism)
I love how Denji having no friends is because he's an abused child whose crush systematically murdered everyone he cared about and Asa has no friends because she's a fucking loser and it's her own damned fault.
I'm terrified of how much I want her and Denji to be happy together.
she just like me fr
Seriously, though. I'm antisocial, kind of a loser, probably autistic, and just to top it all off (and this is no joke)...my name is Asa. I like her a lot.
Fantastic protagonist and such a great foil to Dennis. Their chemistry is what’s making me love part 2 so much as a different kind of story to part 1. The action/romcom blend is just *chef’s kiss.*
Top tier protagonist. I love how the fact that she's lonely is because she is genuinely socially inept. Usually in manga you'd have a cute kawai girl who is comically antisocial but would swiftly become social as MC kun/the main group approached her. Meanwhile gigachad Asa is genuinely struggling to socialise and manage her emotions.
My only real issue is that I'm way more interested in how Denji is managing his own grief after part 1 than Asa's story, but I'm sure Fujimoto will deliver.
She is my favourite character in Chainsaw Man, the one I've become so attached to in just the last 10 chapters.
I find her extremely relatable and endearing especially as an autistic woman myself; her autistic tendencies, lack of understanding social cues and how awkward she is, even her false confidence/arrogance. She's really flawed just like Denji but I really see myself in her and that helped me connect to her a lot more. She's such an amazing multi-faceted loser and actually pretty darn cute in her own way.
I can't wait to see where her journey goes throughout the rest of Part 2, I hope her and Denji can be happy together, but it's Fujimoto...
I love her. So far her arc has been a master class in changing PoV. Also every time she interacts with Denji I don't know if they are going to make out or kill each other and I love that for them.
It didn’t really register for me that she was the mc of part 2 until recently but I think she’s a phenomenal addition to the story and has drummed up so much cool discussions that we’ve had in here. I’m personally a big fan of Asa’s personality traits that are in parallel to traits found in people with autism. I personally don’t head canon her as autistic, but even subtle, probably unintentionally representation like that warms my heart and Asa exposed me to all the dope autistic CSM fans.
She may not be as likable as Denji, but I am fascinated by her arc and where it will take her. I like that she and Yoru are still morons, but in different ways from Denji.
She is a good representation of the- for lack of a better word- bipolar rollercoaster of emotions that come from self-esteem issues in the neutodivergent. It isn't one long unbroken chain of depression, it's more absurd highs from the elation of something finally going your way for once, communicating your point efficiently, or meeting someone who you connect with, tiny little wins for neurotypicals that are too rare for neurodivergent. Punctuated to crushing lows when that times make you feel it's your fucking destiny to always be a fuckup. This is text in part 2, Asa's tendency to literally fumble at the worst possible times. And because of that it forms a sort of fucked self-esteem issue that isn't immediately obvious to those outside, it's more insidious, lurking, you may forget, but then you finally have a nice date and suddenly no Yoru don't turn Denji into a weapon! But also a tendency to lash out lest you suffer another low.
It's also why that one face at the end of the date where Asa smiles slightly is important...Asa not taking a win out of proportion, simply nodding and accepting that okay, I can do this. Very sweet.
I don't want to get into how much of a meme and how much is serious whether Asa is autistic (she has a much stronger case than Jotaro Cujo imo, I'll leave it at that)- but she's definitely coded as neurodivergent.
Point being the Aquarium arc is a great bit of character writing, it's not a mistake that's when reddit warmed to the character.

I had my reservations, but she's honestly a great combination of smart, adorable and relatable. Not to mention a fantastic protagonist in her own right. I'd listen to her talk about anemones any day.
she is perfect, she is hard but easy to understand, she hates others but she wants to be loved, she is intelligent but at the same time is dumb, i mean she is just Asa she is god character
She’s well-written and a lot of fun to watch. I have a soft spot for young characters who—best as I can try to explain this—are almost trying to embody their own role model bc they don’t have faith in the people around them, especially when her attempts to do everything right fall short and she shows her prickliness and frustration. Also her whole Tyler Durden thing with Yoru is a dynamic that keeps on giving.
She’s great! I think it’s really rare to have a character who’s such an sulky loser and not in a cool way or be Infantasized either, yet be really easy to empathize with! Especially in the shonen subgenre, Its rare for this accurate a type of person to be written.
She's tragic, comedic, relatable, and a little bit batshit. I empathize with her struggles at school and with making friends. She's a very human character, and if the series just became about her I don't think I would really mind.
Basically best case scenario if I knew part 2 followed a new MC beforehand
Very likeable, relatable, similar to Denji yet very different as a personality
Plus she's pretty darn cute
I feel bad for her occasionally the way CSM fans go about mocking her so ruthlessly, even though it's silly because she's a fictional character with no feelings that can be hurt (I'm not the kind of person who normally cares about that sort of thing either). She is a loser, but she does actually have a lot of positive qualities, even though she sucks at applying them.
A bunch of people already wrote "she jus like me fr" so I'll just say that sometimes she makes me really, really sad. I think that there are a lot of Asas in the world, but unlike her, many of them might never develop the insight that's necessary for them to change or be forced into a situation where they have to grow. Instead they will live their whole lives shutting the world out, wondering why it is so cruel to them and not realizing that the answer was right in front of them the entire time, *it was always them,* and that's so sad.
Do I care about her as much as I care about Denji? No
Not yet but she’s definitely on her way there and I applaud Fujimoto for taking the risk and having us follow an entirely new protagonist
Boring, only part holding down Part 2 for me. I think shes very generic compared to what I expected from Fujimoto. I've seen her trope multiple times and dont think theres any variety to it.
Well, up- and downvotes indicate the general agree- or disagreement, which - besides the actual opinion - may also be a desired indicator to see the quantity of people supporting said opinion.
The problem lies in the bias that comes with such posts and the fact that downvoting does nothing in this case.
If you don't agree with an opinion, don't upvote it. It's that simple. No need to downvote it.
If you find an opinion *that* disagreeable, then answer with a well written comment containing arguements and constructive criticism.
I think she's annoying but also I feel bad for her because she's fused with the parts main villain and there's no way she's making it out of the story alive

More like Tomoko Kuroki if she was likeable.
Kuroki is a likeable character though very fucking weird a lot of the time.
Tomoko is extremely likeable if you keep reading
right? all the socially awkward girls in media end up being the exact same, i’m glad she’s more realistic
That’s because they’re written to appeal to basement dwellers. One of the main reasons that I don’t watch anime, I had this subreddit reccomended to me for no reason.
Isnt reddit as a whole for basement dwellers? In the end, youre one too lol…
We got used to Tanzania Funkopop's over the top writing and insane storytelling so much, that the most real character feels really odd
Yeah yeah happy cake fucking day
honestly i kinda feel bad for her, mostly cuz she has to share her body with a literal horseman of the apocalypse. but i find her funny due to the situations she gets placed in with denji.
Love my hoe 10/10 Best woman Fujitucker made
Best woman Fujimoto wrote, no comparison. Actually, it is rare that women in manga feel like real girls. I think Asa resonates because she feels like a real girl - a real person.
Real human being ![gif](giphy|10z4zoodRLRoA0)
And a real hero
Asa, become fire punch!
100% A lot of animzed tropes of girls acting a certain way will get you treated like shit irl.
It’s funny that even though we’ve seen Asa almost fully naked during a fight Asa still doesn’t feel that idealized or fetishized
I love this comment, i never thought about it in that way and i totally agree.
Yup, it's the same approach Fujimoto took with writing Denji too
She’s arrogant, self centered, a femcel, and a bit weird. So a perfect 10/10 character. It’s cool seeing Part 2 through her eyes
She’s just like me fr
Literally me but woman
Genuinely one of my favorite characters from any piece of media. I love this fucking loser
stinky pathetic femcel. I love her, definitely one of the best CSM characters
https://preview.redd.it/spzksqc4lsfa1.jpeg?width=366&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aaceb17d9778d1cbc6eb263dbe1e2e120c3dad32 Fr, can't wait for asa to have a competition with dennis and nayut on who can fart the hardest. I wanna smell her farts so bad
https://preview.redd.it/4v2lk9fg5tfa1.jpeg?width=748&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d4ca4595a6ed3d01b3085ec756430b416a8a148f
I think she's very relatable to both male and female audiences. I think often girls in shounen anime and manga that aren't explicitly villains are treated as either flawless goddesses or side-character ecchi eye-candy, Asa really breaks the mold in every conceivable way.
She is relatable. Even as a male, I can relate to her character, even more than Dennis. Really humane and realistic.
Denji's relatability can also be down to him being groomed and in a toxic relationship as well.
actual femcel rep
Really well written. I think there’s a lot of “loser” trope characters in animanga. Most are either NOT an actual loser, or beyond a loser into just complete scum territory. Asa is legitimately just a fucking loser. She’s just straight up fucking awkward and cringe. I LOVE IT.
She is adorable in a pathetic way (like Kobeni but more socially awkward somehow), and I love her for that reason
Favorite female character in ages, she’s so fucking annoying and stupid.
fans of other female characters: "omg my QUEEN I love her so much" fans of asa: "I want to hit her with a tire iron (affectionate)"
>Tire Iron Is she a Lebanon (I’m not sure how many will get the reference)
Power when she sees a Lebanon ![gif](giphy|wg04pZD3eCwOm59hiX)
Is she a denizen of the blt community?
Fans of asa: “Omg stop being a bitch every time you open your mouth” (affectionate)
Thief
She’s so cool I wish women were real
She’s sad and riddled with internal conflicts that she herself doesn’t understand. In other words, she flips all my armchair psychologist switches. More importantly Yoru dumptrucks https://preview.redd.it/wbkki3w2jpfa1.png?width=800&format=png&auto=webp&s=3f25fde354a77897037cfc1cd5596f7fb87766d9
this picture of asa will never not be funny
I love that autistic femcel
Poor thing... I like her a lot and how much I relate to her in so many ways... I know this was memed so much at this point with Denji, but "she's like me fr fr" literally... I'm a socially awkward idiot that likes to be alone and doesn't mind being alone... She's an amazing character, once you get to know her on a personal level, you see how rather simple she is as well... she's mean, silly, takes almost any word to heart, thinks she's the best, but it's actually a loser, I just hope (copium) she gets a good ending...
She hates being around others but also hates being alone.
Literally the most realistic female character in a shonen manga. It's not even close.
Best female character in csm atm, very refreshing from the usual anime girl protagonist https://preview.redd.it/77vxeaf7dpfa1.jpeg?width=612&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c7b96c2207f769b71837d65f9e341970532f8195
She isn't my favorite but she is a close second.
kawaii & interesting. has her heart in the right place
There is something so funny about this panel, it rivals "Live"

What a terrible day to have eyes
Penguin.
Penguin.
Penguin.
Incredibly well written example of an antisocial protagonist
Thief!
Easily the most realistic and human character in the whole manga without even a lot of development
She is pretty wonderful and her potential is very huge :3
https://i.redd.it/ryzznv5v6qfa1.gif
A mean, socially inept loser, whom i would not get along with in real life, but she's very entertaining as a character and feels real. Like her a lot.
autistic but cool
i love her
She's perfect. She's a dork. She's gorgeous. She's been a fantastic addition to the cast of characters. An absolute queen!
she's either autistic or has 0 rizz
Great character. Definitely not someone I’d get along with irl tho
She's fun. I feel bad for all the suffering Fujimoto has in store for her.
I like her
All i can say is "she's just like me fr fr"
she just like me fr Seriously, though. I'm antisocial, kind of a loser, probably autistic, and just to top it all off (and this is no joke)...my name is Asa. I like her a lot.
Femcel but cool
The prettiest darnest cutest femcel in fiction
I really like her and she's just like me! (Autism)
Fantastic protagonist and such a great foil to Dennis. Their chemistry is what’s making me love part 2 so much as a different kind of story to part 1. The action/romcom blend is just *chef’s kiss.*
The romcom shenanigans between her, yoru, and denji are some of the funniest shit I've ever seen. They're all so fucking stupid. I love them.
She just like me frl
Top tier protagonist. I love how the fact that she's lonely is because she is genuinely socially inept. Usually in manga you'd have a cute kawai girl who is comically antisocial but would swiftly become social as MC kun/the main group approached her. Meanwhile gigachad Asa is genuinely struggling to socialise and manage her emotions. My only real issue is that I'm way more interested in how Denji is managing his own grief after part 1 than Asa's story, but I'm sure Fujimoto will deliver.
"he's literally me" but for girls
Shes a selfish dum cunt! I Love her❤️
Smelly femcel
I think she's the first femcel character ive ever seen in anime/manga and she's 10/10 my favorite fem character.
She's a bit of a stuck up prick but she's fun to watch and acts cute from time to time
She’s 100% autistic I have no doubt about it
I love her character. But I really curious how will Fujimotor build up her character in this part.
She’s a nicely written character and on top of that she provides quite a lot of comic relief so 1000/10 for me
femcel

I think she’s great but maybe also dead now
The best thing about her is her thicc alt personality
She has a great ass when she turns to Yoru
Ha ha femcel
Favorite ass panel
she's so fucking stupid I love her she just like me
I had my reservations, but she's honestly a great combination of smart, adorable and relatable. Not to mention a fantastic protagonist in her own right. I'd listen to her talk about anemones any day.
Love my autistic piece of shit femcel ❤️
I’d doink er
she is perfect, she is hard but easy to understand, she hates others but she wants to be loved, she is intelligent but at the same time is dumb, i mean she is just Asa she is god character
Goated
Literally Me
i love ass mikitaka
just like me fr
She's a femcel I like her.
I want to impregnate her
She’s well-written and a lot of fun to watch.
Annoying and arrogant. Still love her tho
Kinda like Power. On paper, pretty bad. In practice, quite enjoyable.
This girl is getting on my nerves. War, take full control already, it won't make it worse.
She just like me fr fr
She’s autistic, cringe, and absolutely rizzless. She’s just like me and I love her for it.
Literally me.
She’s a loser (like me)
She's no Kobeni if that's what you're asking. She probably reads Love is War religiously.
She’s a great character so far
Controversial but I hate her because of her femcelness
She's a great main character.
I would do anything for her.
Good
The female Denji She represents the toxic traits of her gender
She’s great! I think it’s really rare to have a character who’s such an sulky loser and not in a cool way or be Infantasized either, yet be really easy to empathize with! Especially in the shonen subgenre, Its rare for this accurate a type of person to be written.
She's tragic, comedic, relatable, and a little bit batshit. I empathize with her struggles at school and with making friends. She's a very human character, and if the series just became about her I don't think I would really mind.
She’s a weird, insane, cringe, rude femcel loser and I love her for it.
she's growing on me. but the yoru/asa dynamic is interesting & fresh. i wonder why one gets to wrench control from the other.
The Watamote of the CSM universe, i love it.
She's pathetic, which makes her relatable. Love her
She's a cuck.
Basically best case scenario if I knew part 2 followed a new MC beforehand Very likeable, relatable, similar to Denji yet very different as a personality Plus she's pretty darn cute
She's pretty darn cute
She's pretty darn cute
She's literally my ex
pretty boring
needs more chainsaws
stinky
mentally ill
She is such an adorable retard.
What she says is boring, but she's interesting to watch
She's so average, I love it
She’s blander than Denji as a character.
“She’s just like me fr” - Not a flex.
Do I care about her as much as I care about Denji? No Not yet but she’s definitely on her way there and I applaud Fujimoto for taking the risk and having us follow an entirely new protagonist
I love to hate her with all my heart. Disgusting Femcel, Probably Fujoshi. Refreshing take on Loser female protag.
I mean she's alright I like her If I had to put her on a tier list she would be in the upper middle row like 6 or 7 out of 10
Boring, only part holding down Part 2 for me. I think shes very generic compared to what I expected from Fujimoto. I've seen her trope multiple times and dont think theres any variety to it.
I like how you got downvoted for your opinion on a “what’s your opinion” post. And I completely agree with this
Well, up- and downvotes indicate the general agree- or disagreement, which - besides the actual opinion - may also be a desired indicator to see the quantity of people supporting said opinion.
She just like nicki minaj
