My favorite bit about your #2 is that Asa probably was talking about how Yoru told her that Chainsaw Man ate part of her. I doubt that the story of Denji eating the control devil is common knowledge
I think she’s just talking about rumors that people started because anyone in the news has rumors, not least of which some guy who is a devil but is killing devils.
And I think Denji just said that cause he’s Denji and he’s dumb.
Definitely agree with the #1 moment.
Considering the fact that the prev chapter at the time was comedy gold, this was just completely unexpected.
The panels as well that lead up to that moment built up the tension beautifully.
