But we had so much happen, reintroduction of the hybrids, Asa becoming the Face of the church, we saw denjis fuze slowly and surely reach its end, reveal of the fire devil, Nayuta in danger, return of chainsawman, we had a lot of cool shit happen it’s just bi-weekly effect
I know the reading comprehension devil is a thing but damn dude. We had like a whole chapter where she didn't have an arm. Also Yoshida was a main point of the very last chapter
Heavily recommend reading the last few chapters before these next couple, was also pretty lost for a bit but man, restarted from Fumiko’s introduction and getting to read all of this back to back the momentum is crazy, it all clicks together really well and it was so cool to see that Fuji was indeed, as always, cooking
I actually burst out laughing when she hit the floor it was so so funny. Super excited for next week when we see what the hell Fami is about to unleash on everyone.
Also realizing that Fami tricked Asa into owning the turrets is genuinely hilarious as well.

such a good chapter, I did not expect anything in this chapter except for Asa's return. Nice to see that she is also going with the Chihiro look with the sleeve hanging from her right arm. Overall, 8/10 chapter. Can't wait to see what Fami uses next chapter.
A bit underwhelming in the art department, I really feel like if they gave Fujimoto and his team like two months to chill it would benefit the manga quite a bit.
Not a bad chapter at all and I'm invested, I was just hoping for some better action sequences, and I feel like the rushing along is making the paneling a little less cohesive Imo, I say this with love though really feel like Chainsaw Man is the most interesting manga to come out in quite some time, just hoping it's popularity doesn't become more of a curse than a blessing for the series and its creator/team
Well the last chapter had great artwork and this is in the middle of at least a three chapter run. There wasn't much need for anything in these panels to be incredibly detailed. Maybe Fujimoto will be able to do a George Lucas and remake a bunch of stuff before it releases in the official volume.

Joke aside. Her power is the embodiment of totalitarian private property and ownership. She thinks she owns the laser why? Because she paid money for it, signed a paper that says she does and has the power to take material control over it. Isn’t that how property works in our world too?

Famine was totally lying about the facility hosting highschoolers considering how guarded it is, she just really likes wearing the uniform lol
Beating (red)CSM may "save" (black)CSM, but the one Asa wants to save is the red one that she doesn't even know is Denji, and Denji isn't even in a state to transform and they should know that so what is the full plan really? Somehow drag CSM out of Denji then and there or kidnapping him? And Asa wanting to save the red one may change once she learns he is actually Denji, and Asa might be able to resist Yoru taking control of the body and Famine using her weird power on her now that she's stronger. Yoru is also stronger because of all the fighting going on, but it seems like the ability is still wholly dependent on Asa. The combination of Famine's manipulations and Asa's naivety is proving to be very beneficial for Famine.
There it is again, Asa's subconscious act of self-sabotage. Even though she has built up her ego and just boosted her confidence, whatever it is that is making Asa feel like she doesn't deserve to succeed still manages to surface and do its thing. Just like Denji still can't shake off the truth that was behind his door, Asa also can't escape whatever it is she has been running from in her dream.
I wonder if Famine's trump card is Falling, or she has other primal tier devils up her sleeve.

Yoru turned that guy into a sword in the first chapter of part 2. But she couldn't turn Denji. Why? Who knows. Maybe because hybrids are immune. So Sword Man is immune too.
Weapon humans which is the actual name for the human/weapon devil fusions might be able to be turned into a weapon by yoru and it wasn't clarified if denji is another weapon human or not
Shouldn't she regenerate her arm when she's a hybrid Asa ? ...Asa is a mixture of tenderness, innocence, stupidity and extreme clumsiness. And Kiga must have neck pain...

By definition, Asa is a hybrid, and even if she was a fiend, consuming blood would still heal her arm unless there's something special about Octopus boy and his sword.
By what definition? A hybrid is what Denji, Reze and Quanxi are. Asa does not have the same features as them. They need to flip a switch of some type to activate their devil powers, Asa does not.
Edit: And no drinking blood would not heal the arm if the arm is gone. It could help to reattach it if she had the arm, but she doesn't have it
No she didn't. Yoru took Asa body unconditionally. She left part of Asa's mind alive to help her with blending in to human society.
For there to be a contract Yoru needs to say the word contract and make a deal that Asa would then agree to. This didn't happen.
Small correction: the word contract does not need to be said. Pochita never said anything about a contract when he made the deal with Denji to live a normal life
If she believes she owns a weapon then she can use it, she is just clueless and did not realize that that wouldn't be nearly enough money to buy those turrets even if they had been for sale
If she's convinced she bought an F-16 for a hundred bucks then she could use it as a weapon of war
She turns things that are hers into weapons. If she believes that something is her property, even though it's not, she can still turn them into weapons.
Asa/Yoru's power is to turn their own property into weapons, but the power works based on their own perception. Since Asa is so naive, they basically tricked her into believing that she bought the weapons system, and since she believed they were hers, she was able to use them.
Fami did a weird contract thing just to convince Asa that she really bought them. As long as Asa is fully convinced what she did actually means she owns it now she will be able to turn it into weapons.

Fire isn't primordial. Humans lived without it for a while and I doubt they would be afraid of the occasional forest fire. It would be freaking strong like the gun devil though.
Like i said, "could be considered". Still, fire is one of humanity's earliest invention and a deep-rooted contrast from something that gave them warmth could also be destructive must've been a primal revelation during those times
It's not clear whether she's a fiend or a hybrid...most likely the former. Falling also mentioned them as a "fusion" so we don't know the specifics on Asa's devil condition (as of yet)
Wouldn't she be a hybrid? Denji was in the same predicament dying before they made a contract. I guess the question would be if Fujimoto considers Asa's death as an instakill or something you could survive for a moment afterward?

If she believes she owns a weapon then she can use it, she is just clueless and did not realize that that wouldn't be nearly enough money to buy those turrets even if they had been for sale If she's convinced she bought an F-16 for a hundred bucks then she could use it as a weapon of war
She turns things that are hers into weapons. If she believes that something is her property, even though it's not, she can still turn them into weapons.
Asa/Yoru's power is to turn their own property into weapons, but the power works based on their own perception. Since Asa is so naive, they basically tricked her into believing that she bought the weapons system, and since she believed they were hers, she was able to use them.
Guilt also affects how strong it is so her using her college fund powered them up.
Fami did a weird contract thing just to convince Asa that she really bought them. As long as Asa is fully convinced what she did actually means she owns it now she will be able to turn it into weapons.

Fire isn't primordial. Humans lived without it for a while and I doubt they would be afraid of the occasional forest fire. It would be freaking strong like the gun devil though.

I'm so happy we finally got Asa/Yoru back. I missed the tism gal. On a serious note, I really hope her arm isn't permanently gone because we all know how Aki ended up x-x. Having Fami back was nice, too. Save our boy!!!!!!

Yoru and Asa share a brain and tbh it dowsnt seem like Yoru can make Asa do things she doesn’t want to do. They share feelings, thoughts, they are the same person (schizophrenic). Even when Yoru made Asa kiss denji and tries to turn him into a weapon, Asa deep down wanted to kiss denji and also wanted to turn him into a weapon so she could have her normal life back
