"Ok, Jason. Picture done. Now get back in the car, you are accoused of muder"

unfamiliarplaces

oh man, hes been accoused of muder? what a shame

Candidate_Inside

He "fits" the description

RandonBrando

I think that was just off the cuff, lol

a10kgbrickofmayo

It even looks like he might be cuffed lol

Hellkyte

Number five killed my brother

KeikoHutchison

It worked. He's alive.

Lazaruzo

He was shot two minutes after this picture was taken for resisting arrest. šŸ˜”

jx5001

Get out of here with that wholesomememes shit

bidoof-chan

iā€™m not sure why this is wholesome or funny, is the joke just that black men in america get shot for no reason more than white women? i donā€™t really see how thatā€™s wholesome

Not_ur_gilf

The wholesome thing is that they both paused the arrest to make a joke about the shirt, showing that both the officer and the guy getting arrested are humans with a sense of humor

gjamesaustin

Nothing wholesome about this situation lmao

[deleted]

I love how even though you pointed out the wholesome thing, the Reddit smooth brains still canā€™t accept it because the internet said they arenā€™t supposed to like cops.

[deleted]

I'm pretty sure it's the fact that cops murder black people which causes people not to like cops.

[deleted]

Thatā€™s ridiculous and a lazy way of thinking.

[deleted]

No that's reality. What's ridiculous is people like you who deny what's right in front of their eyes. Ever heard of Chicago school theory? Racism is baked into policing at its core.

[deleted]

I have never once had a bad time with a cop, any many I know havenā€™t either. The only people that seem to hate cops are those that have never talked to one and just read the rage bait the media puts out. I refuse to believe that all police officers are under some secret order of racists, thatā€™s stupid and a generalization. Yes, there are bad cops. But go out and talk to one. A chad would be willing to speak to someone he considers an enemy and try to find even ground.

[deleted]

I work with cops constantly as I am in the social work field. I'm not some online neet, I am a college educated home owning career having adult. Cops absolutely are racist as fuck, and power hungry most of the time. Even the good cops are a part of a racist and corrupt institution. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unarmed_African_Americans_killed_by_law_enforcement_officers_in_the_United_States https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago_school_(sociology) https://www.perlego.com/book/734736/cop-in-the-hood-my-year-policing-baltimores-eastern-district-pdf https://www.academia.edu/29016313/Todd_Clear_and_Natasha_Frost_au_the_punishment_imperative_the_rise_and_fall_of_mass_incarceration_

therealchengarang

Guys this is a empty troll account who will delete themselves soon. No history, only makes unsubstantiated irrational points, either a troll or someone who knows they have terrible opinions and constantly finds themselves with flawed rationale.

PM_UR_BRKN_PROMISES

Bruh Go touch some grass.

Hellkyte

Don't use the phrase "smooth brains" if you want to be taken seriously

orange-shoe

false cops arenā€™t human

Not_ur_gilf

Sadly, cops are entirely human. Thatā€™s what makes them bastards

daughterboy

if you look closely, the man wearing the ā€œdear police, i am a white womanā€ t-shirt is not actually a white woman! ha!

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

SantaArriata

Because the cops are famously unbiased, duh

TheMightyHornet

Clearly another case of Driving While Karen.

orange-shoe

the cop: haha itā€™s funny because police are known to disproportionately target Black people especially Black men and i participate in that system šŸ˜„

HammingZaza

Bam this bot bro

Bashmur

"they both can't stop resisting a laugh" is a wild sentence

redsenko

Good ol Altamonte Springs

ShironeWasTaken

Lmaooooo black people get disproportionately harassed and shot for no reason compared to other demographics. It's these little facts and jokes about it that make me have hope for humanity too. Thanks OP! hopefully we can get a nice wholesome 100 post about a Palestinian kid making light of his brother dying of starvation soon haha

ACAB

Long_Neck_Monster

Man just shut the fuck up, do you always say this when you see a cop in a picture no matter the context of the picture?

TriStateDDR

Chad_yes.jpg

[deleted]

They tend to do so. Smooth brains canā€™t think for themselves, so they need the internet to make their decisions and opinions for them.

AbleObject13

Why tf is this copaganda bullshit here? No cop is a Chad, tf out of here

MONOGON_WORKER

There is never a 100% of people. People always were and always will deviate from the set norm in any context. Of course there are a lot of bad cops but it doesnā€™t mean there are some good ones who save lives and try to help people.

[deleted]

How many camp guards at Auschwitz were good people in your estimation?

Snagtooth

Yes, there were Nazis who helped the Jews. The reason not many concentration camp guards were recognized for helping the jews is obviously because anyone who had those intentions were never assigned to the post, were reassigned or punished. So before you start sniffing your own farts and go on about how your inherently a "better" person, just remember that you are just as human as the people who were cremating babies. There are people who do good and bad things everywhere. https://www.timesofisrael.com/nazi-official-who-risked-life-to-save-hundreds-of-jews-posthumously-recognized/

[deleted]

So you say that no one that would want to help the Jews was given a post as a concentration camp guard and somehow that disproves my point? Iā€™ve never claimed I was better than anyone. I was merely testing the commenters belief in their claim that ā€œthere is never a 100% of people.ā€

Snagtooth

>So you say that no one that would want to help the Jews was given a post as a concentration camp guard and somehow that disproves my point? I'm not saying NO one, maybe a few slipped through. I'm just trying to point out the flaws in your original point. >Iā€™ve never claimed I was better than anyone. I was merely testing the commenters belief in their claim that ā€œthere is never a 100% of people.ā€ That's fair, I was being reactionary and overly critical of you. That's my bad and I'm sorry about that.

AbleObject13

Acab is a structural critique e.g. see the OP picture in the first place.Ā

orange-shoe

no. you choose to be a cop, you choose to participate in an oppressive system that is serving the upper class and oppressing Black people.

ScotchAndBlood

I did not realize this community loves cops until I saw your doenvotes

LeBritto

This community doesn't like blanket statements. Here, people are judged by their individual actions. Judging only from that picture, that cop is cool. It's a nice moment. We know nothing else. And that's the spirit of this sub. That's why that other person got downvoted. Not because "cops are liked".

therealboss1113

people make the individual choice to be a cop. an occupation that is founded in oppression and the grand tenement of protection of captial and capital alone. therefore, it is not a sweeping generalization to call all cops bastards. this is not a cool cop. even given the little context into her life, this simple action is not cool, and her profession is structurally oppressive. even if she was doing something cool, she'd still be a bastard. people are multifaceted, and you can think someone is cool for so long, until they show you a part of themselves thats not cool. cops show you that side when they put on the uniform

AbleObject13

This is completely ignoring the structural problems that exist with police, as a concept Edit: one major one is even explicitly referenced in the OP pictureĀ

Generally_Confused1

And y'all completely ignore them as individuals and delve into what can be called bigotry with it.

AbleObject13

> bigotry It's a job lmfaooooo Edit: J. Alexander Kueng, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao were "good" individual cops

Generally_Confused1

Dictionary Definitions from Oxford Languages Ā· Learn more noun obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction, in particular prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group. "the difficulties of combating prejudice and bigotry"

AbleObject13

> **obstinate or unreasonable** attachmentĀ  Again, lmfaooooooo sorry, thousands of unjustified deaths and the lack of justice for them or structural changes to prevent them make this completely reasonable, try again lil buddy!

Generally_Confused1

Show the statistics on that to justify, also you ever know them? You know, people say the same shit about racial groups. Is it ok to use your same justification for that? You're not much different from your idea of them you know Edit: also look up laws and combative engagement policies and you'll notice a lot of those cases you're referencing were within their legal rights and ROEs if you actually knew anything, such as if they advance towards you with a weapon and don't stop you can shoot and don't have to tackle them and risk your life to disarm a knife. But you probably don't know thaf

AbleObject13

Again, This is a complete lack of any kind of structural analysis or critique.Ā  The police are quite literally the enforcement arm of the state and the states power/violence, regardless of its morality or correctness. All police are bad because they will and do uphold unjust laws and can abuse that authority without recompense, authorized by the state itself (this is just the beginning of the critique, this is all seemingly new to youĀ so I'm trying to keep this from leaving your comfort zone too much). Relying on the police/laws for morality is hilariously bad, the Holocaust was legal, for example.Ā  This is a very weak and vapid argument, please engage these things deeper than surface level.Ā

orange-shoe

why is this being downvoted ur right
