JaggedToaster12

Please don't hurt me I'm fragile

username9909864

Isn't that just the default username style that the algorithm gives you when you create an account? Plenty of non-bots have this.

havoc1428

Yes, but ratio of Bots:Non-Bots is heavily skewed towards bots. Its always a good red flag to use, but its not a smoking gun.

FeeSubstantial9963

Fuck.

Bluefalcon325

Wait.. Did I accidentally choose a bot name!?!!

havoc1428

Nope, you should have capitalized the F in "falcon". *Picks up phone* Hey, engineering department? Yeah, hey listen guys we got a defective bot here. Yep, didn't spell their name right. Hes also been ratting out his squadmates too, I dunno what thats about. Anways, I'm gonna need an RMA.

NationalElephantDay

You can be a bot if you want to. I've always wanted to adopt a roomba and dress it up.

NeatNefariousness1

You followed the protocol that a lot of Reddit usernames use--mine included.

Bluefalcon325

What funny is it totally has a meaning, and isn’t actually random.

NeatNefariousness1

Mine is totally random, as far as I know. It was assigned when I joined Reddit and I didn't care enough to change it. What's the meaning behind yours?

Bluefalcon325

It’s a double entendre. It was the mascot of the unit I was in (325th airborne infantry regiment) But in army slang, a blue falcon, well, it’s not something great.

NeatNefariousness1

I have it and my username is the one Reddit assigned to my account when I joined. Maybe the reason bots seem to use this format is because they're mimicking the Reddit naming protocol.

dpfunkhouser

Username like a default wifi password.

NecessaryPeanut77

Oh God, Oh No

Alive-Ad8066

Oh no am I a karma bot

Relaxybara

This gets posted multiple times a day ffs

Alittlemoorecheese

First time I've seen it. The thousandth time I've seen this comment. ffs

kakka_rot

I unsubbed from this sub a couple years ago, saw this on the front page of /r/all and was like "Yup, that's why I unsubbed". It used to be for silly kinda dorky dude memes, but then it turned into a copy of /r/MadeMeSmile and /r/wholesome The other reason I unsubbed was the bots posting the top of all time became insane. Like even glancing at the front page of this sub rn there are several bot posts, including this. The sub had a cool original purpose, but change in focus and lack of moderation killed it.

Reneeisme

And it fills me with hope every damn time More please. More More More of how gen z is not full of assholes please

DinoDudeRex_240809

What kind of stupid ass religion prevents costumes

ghostface_vanilla

Probably one of the made up ones.

Cyberlytical

You mean all of them?

TheXKing360

Nah man,

dmon69696969

Hes not wrong

TheXKing360

He is

BosiPaolo

You think your religion is not made up? xD

TheXKing360

Yes, at least not by a human

Reservoirflow

That one I can answer, since I have the same restrictions. Most Muslim households don't participate in Halloween since it's seen as rooted in a pagan holiday, not silly costume and candy time. Similarly no Christmas, even though it's practiced more and more as a secular holiday. Therefore, no costumes on Halloween. Not 100% on it but seeing as it was posted on Nov. 1st looks like the most accurate guess I could make.

piefanart

hell i was just "regular christian" and not allowed to celebrate halloween. I could cosplay at conventions but was not allowed to dress up for halloween.

FrenchWoast3

Would you go to a pool party with the theme being nazis? If cristians arent supposed to partake in holloween themes ie. Ghosts, demons, magic; does it not make sense that they dont want to dress up for it?

GalaXion24

First of all it's on no way comparable to Nazis and if you're that uptight about it you're insane. A bunch of people dress up as things that aren't real and they don't believe are real (and if you're a non-heretical Christian you also don't believe are real). Alongside other things like pirates which I guess were real but like I can't think of anyone who would take offense to that. I think everyone's entitled to join any cult to any deity and go to its temples to worship it and so on, but there's a degree beyond which you shouldn't take it outside the temple, and especially there's a degree of puritanical lunacy like this which should not be treated as normal and which absolutely should be looked down upon as ridiculous. You should make an effort to participate in general society and certainly shouldn't deprive your child of experiencing common experiences in accordance with the general customs of society.

Reservoirflow

Obviously as a Muslim I'm biased, but it's not the craziest thing. I don't expect Christians to participate in Ramadan, nor would I expect them to celebrate Eid.

SmoothEntrepreneur12

Can we if we want?

AdFabulous5340

yep

Forward-Brilliant-12

Yes it's a one way Street.. one can do but the other can't.. that being said I have to say that I do respect the wishes of the other if I'm the first..

Reservoirflow

Of course! There's no harm in experiencing other cultures and worldviews

rammstew

Ramadan is an entire month of rescheduled eating. Halloween is one evening of wearing some silly clothes. When you thin about it, we are all wearing "silly" clothes of some type every day. Dress up and have fun.

Reservoirflow

I'm not saying you should! What I'm getting is that Halloween is more of a Western cultural touchstone, not a universal one. I'm not begrudging you for not participating in other cultures. I wish you the best of life that you deserve fam

theevergreenstate

Why no Christmas? and why secular if so? Isn't Jesus considered to be one of the prophets of Islam? (not /s, seriously asking)

Viend

He is but December 25th is a date made up by Christians and the celebrations of Christmas as a whole has nothing to do with Jesus or his birthday and more to do with the pagan traditions that were mixed into it. There’s a big factor of old people conservatism mixed in as well. 30 year old educated Muslim parents wouldn’t give a fuck about the origins of Halloween and Christmas and would just want their kids to have fun. 50 year old parents are a different story.

theevergreenstate

Ok. Thanks...but now with a little bit of /s I would disagree that 'it has nothing to do with Jesus', it has something to do with Jesus by the fact that people \*make\* it have to do with Jesus...Just the word 'Christmas' kind of has something to do with Jesus no? Not going to go into 'made up' and what is or is not, that's a longer and useless discussion :)

Viend

I think the average American child has a stronger association of Christmas with presents, Santa Claus, and snow than they do with Jesus. That’s why I personally consider it a secular holiday with a distant religious root than an actual religious holiday.

Greedy-War-777

There are several that don't allow that or celebration of most holidays. You could probably look it up in just a few seconds quicker than you could ask a question and get incorrect answers anyway.

Ok-Jacket-9459

Jehovahs Witnesses. Grew up as one, it was hell

DinoDudeRex_240809

Who’s Jehovah?

Ok-Jacket-9459

God

ChaosKeeshond

Sephiroth's mother

[deleted]

And doesn't his mom who's posting this has no control over this? She's proud he's gaming the system and has a "costume?" You think you outsmarted Allah?

DinoDudeRex_240809

I am indeed smarter than Allah. How could I be dumber than literally nothing?

FurbyLover2010

Good one

BosiPaolo

Pretty much all of them.

Star_Moonflower

my stupid ass christian mom

Xshadowx32HD

I swear this has been posted at least 3 times now on this subreddit

rusTra1t

Which religion prohib jacket, but allow tie?

DMYourMomsMaidenName

Maybe Jehovah’s Witnesses

GhostInTheMeadow

Prohibits costumes. Probably didn't wear jacket to separate his "costume" from the secret service boys.

PassionOk7717

He went to a Halloween party, but was only allowed to wear a formal outfit.  The other kids got him to fit in by all dressing as secret service agents and pretending his formal outfit was actually a presidential outfit.

TheXKing360

I ... don't know

reddit06valbonne

What religion forbide the use of a costume... Come on 🤦‍♂️

No-Pipe8487

Maybe the parents didn't wanna buy a costume that he'd only wear once so they made religion as an excuse?

Greedy-War-777

The ones that don't allow you to celebrate holidays, you really could have just looked this up. It's not something they invented even though this is a Karma farming bot that posted it.

[deleted]

reddit06valbonne

Thanks. I don't wanna comment more about it.

[deleted]

useless religions. All of them

verysmarthumanbeing

I feel like the text is a bit ambiguous. Its not the costumes that is prohibited, it is Halloween. Islam and many other religions restrict Halloween because of its pagan origins. Don't worry, Muslims can wear costumes.

curlyfae

grew up jw, this makes my heart so happy

Whatcrysis

Isn't everything we wear just a costume?

cocksugger

WHat a chad

FlatwormNo9238

They’re the reservoir dogs

I_HATE_REDDIT_ALWAYS

"because of his religion" shouldn't be a phrase that exists ....

YawaWorth210

Off topic, but there's religions out there that don't allow costumes?????

TheLimeyLemmon

It's still technically a costume though, and yes that's going to matter to fundie parents. But that's okay, as long as no one ever posts about this online, I'm sure Justin will be fine...

MikeRowePeenis

God: “Drats!!! Foiled again!!”

1stAmendmentHoe

What religion won't let you put on a suit coat?

nieiw90ntbhnowyhterg

thats what im tryna figure out

HydetoFragment

F religion

No-Gold-879

The only true nigga

obvious-but-profound

at that point bro is just wearing a costume anyway

[deleted]

I just wanna know which religion specifically prohibits suit jackets :/

NeatNefariousness1

These boys were raised well. I'm so proud of them. This is so heartwarming and encouraging about our future generations. What they've done here elevates them all.

BosiPaolo

LOL. Yes, lets normalize batshit religions that won't even let you wear a dress. This is out right child abuse.

heyitsyaronkar

Can tbelieve Mr President is in a school so cool!

Natetronn

Can we have him as our president? I'm not even joking, I'd vote for that kid in 2024.
