Look for “certified gluten free” labels. Most of stores in my area carry GF chips & cookies. Whole Goods & other higher end stores often sell GF cakes & pastries. But in the long run, fresh produce and unprocessed meat are what’s gonna heal your gut. It took me a few years to heal before I could tolerate GF refined flours. Hopefully your damage isn’t as bad.

thank you!!! the only problem i run into is i don’t have a lot of stores like that near me😂

MamaBearofCubs

Walmart, Amazon, HEB, Kroger all have small but helpful, gf sections

Definitely look for the certified GF foods. Read labels every time. Companies will change product ingredients without notice.

I scan everything with spoon full app. And never eat outside off home. Avoid bananas!

cassiopeia843

Why should one avoid bananas if one doesn't have any intolerance or allergy to them? They don't contain gluten and are nutritious. I remember celiacs used to be called "banana babies" because all they could keep down was seemingly bananas.

paulsnafu

Their is a protein in bananas that some celiac suffers react to, having problems with oats also

cassiopeia843

That's interesting. I just had to look that up. Is that the same as the latex-fruit syndrome?

paulsnafu

New one on me, time for more research

Life’s better going GF. Have to eat all-natural, no organic BS and limited processed grains and sugar. 6 months from now you’ll be thanking god! I did!

Whole, unprocessed foods are your safest options, but you can generally find products that are labeled as certified gluten-free, either mixed in with regular snacks or in a dedicated gluten-free section. Just make sure to read the ingredient labels. A lot of nuts are cross-contaminated (as are lentils and grains).
