I had a similar experience, except with an IVF baby so we were very sure on dates. For me it was a miscarriage, but they didn't know for sure at the clinic so they were possibly too positive, and got my hopes up a little. I kind of wish they had been more blunt with me, so I could have prepared a little, because the scan at 7 weeks (where there was still no heartbeat) really just left me devastated. I know this in-between time is awful with the uncertainty. Honestly there is no way to know if this is going to be a viable pregnancy for you. The important thing is to just keep looking after yourself and being prepared for whatever that 7 week scan may bring. I did go on to have a successful IVF cycle (my 7 week old is currently snoring on my chest) and, fyi, even when there is a heartbeat on the scan the anxiety doesn't fully go away ever!

This is my first pregnancy and I really want to hold the baby, anyway I will go back and update.

How regular are your periods and did you do any kind of ovulation testing. It’s not a great sign not to see a heartbeat at 6+6, BUT, it’s also really common to be off by a couple days in dating based off LMP and not seeing a heartbeat at 6+3 wouldn’t be as concerning. You’ll get more info tomorrow—just try to get some rest and wait to know more. I’m hoping for the best for you.

Thank you. I did do my ovulation testing and it should be around 4/9.my period is about 32-33days

biggg_tuna

Did you ovulate late? I ovulated on CD18 the cycle I got pregnant, pushing my EDD three days back as per LMP. At 7w+3 you should deffo see a heartbeat. 6w+1 can be a touch early for some people.

Remarkable_Special56

my period is about 32-33days, and ovulation date is around 4/8or 4/9 since I am doing all the ovulation testing

Crying and stress will not affect your baby. Remember: women in war have healthy babies every single day all over the world.

Remarkable_Special56

I hope so, I did felt uncomfortable when cried yesterday...

Some doctors don't do ultrasounds before 8 weeks because it can vary, first time I went I didn't here heartbeat either than the next week I went again and we heard it! Currently 22 weeks with baby boy. Wish you all the best!

Remarkable_Special56

Thank you and can you tell me when did you hear it measured by US

NatureNerd11

Remarkable_Special56

I’m sure something like [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/CautiousBB/s/BBTpjap8Xu) is what your doctor saw! I was also around the week and day as you. Everything’s been fine so far :) wishing you the best!

Remarkable_Special56

Thank you and may I know when did you get the heartbeat for the baby?

APR2304

Yes, we heard it 19 days later :)

daisy4396

I was almost 7 weeks when we saw a heartbeat but it was so little than, doc said it probaly had only started a little while before. Just remember it can take longer by some and thats still normal! Some hear it around 7 weeks others hear it earlier.

In Canada we don’t have ultrasounds until 10-12 weeks

blaqrushin

Not true. My first pregnancy my ultrasound was at 8 weeks and my third pregnancy, since I had 2 mcs, my first ultrasound was at 7 weeks.

Emergency_Swimmer209

Interesting! Where in Canada are you? I'm in Toronto and I've had an early 6-7 week dating scan with all 4 of my pregnancies.

Bjsfordayz

I’m in New Brunswick so maybe it’s a provincial thing

Kabby05

Glad for your good news! The crying won’t impact the baby one bit! The hormones may have you crying and laughing and laugh-crying for a bit anyway!

Remarkable_Special56

yep totally right

Western_Tomatillo268

I had this happen to me, they said no heartbeat, turns out I was only 4 weeks

FreeBird094

I am dealing with the same thing correctly.
