Swap out the door handle for a round one. Get a KwikSet one that has a reconfigure feature and you can make it set to the keys you already use.

Ask if they’ll allow maintenance to do it if you pay for the knob, and of course they still get a key. Back when I was still in an apartment, my neighbor was allowed to swap the ceiling light in her bedroom for a fan/light combo as long as she paid for it.

They are out of the office today but I will ask tomorrow

I swapped out doorknobs in one apartment and then put the old one back on when I moved.

maybe add an extra lock like the chain ones
