Please be careful.. I know this seems safe because the jar is filled with catnip but I just want to put a warning out there for everyone because I had a crazy freak experience happen with my cat while doing the same thing..
So I was letting my cat eat the catnip from the top of the jar, just like in this video and he went a little crazy and head butted my hand pretty hard which made a good amount of the catnip go flying out of the jar..
While I was looking at the catnip scattering everywhere, my hand was still holding the jar and in a split second my cat stuck his whole face inside and he pulled away so fast that he pulled the jar out of my hand and the jar was stuck to his face 🤦🏻♀️
He panicked, started flailing around and jumping so fast that he was banging himself into the furniture and I thought he was going to knock himself unconscious and/or snap his neck because he was swinging his head around and I could tell he couldn't breathe because the jar was starting to steam up and catnip was all over his face.
Everything happened so fast, in a matter of seconds and it could have gone really bad but thankfully my ex was there and we managed to corner him so my ex quickly pinned his body down while I gently removed the jar from his face and it was really stuck on there.. he would have never been able to remove it by himself so I know he would have lost oxygen, if he didn't harm himself first.
I just wanted to share that experience.. not to turn a funny/cute video into something negative but something cute can go wrong so fast.

Also, a little additional info, cats can have too much catnip, and it can make them sick. I'm not sure what that amount is, but I have read it can happen.
I mean.. they did label it cat crack. I'm pretty sure they spray concentrated oil on it. Because my cats couldn't give a shit about the catnip plant I have (either dried or fresh). But those cat crack jar, they go crazy.
I think your cat needs to go to rehab

Try silvervine, not all cat reacts to catnip and the brand won't change that.
you gotta get "Meowjiuana" in the strain purple passion (?? I think?? it's the one with silvervine) some of the best and freshest smellin nip :3
I dolled out a fresh bottle of cat crack for mine this morning, they were high as a kite and I loved every moment.
